  • Will the real Ben Dozer please roll out?! What a Behemoth. In this episode of #TH-camGOLD, the first thing I need to do is master the controls in order to get a good cut. My son has now coined #DieselToots as a new explanation of the exhaust system. I need to get some stick time if I am going to clear enough dirt for me to reach my 1/2 oz goal this season. I have a lot riding on this 1/2 oz, and I have already spent a ton of money getting this gold mining operation up and running. There is no shortage of equipment repairs, learning curves, and practice that goes into a huge operation like this.. and if we don't get over those, and start sluicing soon.. we are going to be in trouble.

    "TH-cam GOLD" is a #Parody series based around the GOLD Shows of TV that we all know and love. #GoldRush #YukonGold #BeringSeaGold all of these are shows that my family enjoy seeing!
    A lot of viewers ask me questions about the products I use in my videos, and I have learned to pass along this info in my video descriptions. I hope it helps if you are curious about this Dozer.

    As a full scale equipment operator you werent doing bad. Its extremely hard to get the hang of a machine without being able to feel what its doing. 90% of running a machine is feeling it.

      This has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard... it's a toy not to difficult to figure out how to push little sticks back and forth... not even close to comparing it to a full scale rig lmfao

    • @BigCool95
      @BigCool95 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Avis Ordan sure its not hard to push sticks back and forth, but thats not what operating real equipment is. And they have full size D10 dozers that are remote control. No difference between this “toy” and the real thing. This “toy” is just a smaller scale.

    That dozer is another level of rc. The way its made to the action's it can perform. My wife orders all the parts for the engine on the full size cat. Think I might ask her what the order number is for the dozer toot toots lol. At the end when you say he is doing the cute thing then he strikes the pose. So cool.
    Look forward to seeing more videos cheers.

I am confined to a power wheelchair and when the wife gets a package delivered, it usually is packed with the stuff. I get to throw it away but I take in the garage and run over it making some loud noise,which scares the dogs too! What a fun lookig machine!! Keep the videos comming. Thanks,,,,,

    Your son is very smart. Him knowing the function of the exhaust for dozer toots, 😆. It's amazing how at such a young age he grasps the concept of things like that. My dad taught me how to build r/c kits when I was a kid. My first kit was a Associated RC10GT in 1992. Such a great hobby for developing mechanical skills and father/son bonding. Keep it up man!

    Even with a 10 ton dozer you have to judge the cut for a hole run. That makes the ground level for the next cut. But with getting rocks in the track gear, you just run back and forward a few times till the rock is mashed to pieces. This is the RC that I enjoy.

  • @BlueDually4x4
    @BlueDually4x4 5 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    It might work a bit better if it was heavier. The weight is what gives it the traction to shove mountains. As for controls, I would venture a guess that you are so used to the skidsteer controls, you want the dozer controls to be the same, as they both have two joysticks. I am not familiar with the radio to know if you could switch the settings so the right stick is all of your movement, and the left stick runs the blade. The just use the other switches for the ripper.

In my day if your hired to do a job you better be able to do it or your ass is grass and your skidded. If you think all controls are the same on all machines you are wrong. No employer is going change the controls for some nub princess wantabe.

    You joke, but I'm curious now: would it be feasible to use this dozer to level or rip a small garden? It has plenty of power to move dirt, but you don't show how often/quickly it drains a battery. I'm gonna assume it's on 3 cell LiPo. Awesome video dude.

    • @TheRealRCSparks
      @TheRealRCSparks  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hello Cole. I mentioned in the film that I used one battery. It really depends on how much throttle you are using.. much like anything battery related. The more you use the quicker it drains. The more you push, the more it drains.. but.. from my limited experience - what you see here - I used the machine for 30 minutes solid, on 5500mah 3s. I started with my voltage at 12.54 and charged it at 10.20. As for gardening.. yes, this dozer will rip straight lines on an afternoon with glee ;)

    How did you managed to combine the two track motors to one stick control

    • @TheRealRCSparks
      @TheRealRCSparks  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, I used a new Single ESC that replaced the dual ESC's that are inside. This is a special ESC they use for robotics called a "Sabertooth". I also had to use a BEC (voltage distribution block) to handle the electronics as the sabertooth only has a 1amp BEC. I chose a step up from this ESC (bit.ly/2Dd8rmO), but I think the one in the link would do just fine, and its 1/2 price. Here is the BEC I used, bit.ly/2PjaOvI. This will help you avoid any "Brown-outs" in power. Hope that helps you!

      I will order those and try it.
      Hope I'll do it ok

    • @TheRealRCSparks
      @TheRealRCSparks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When using the BEC.. Remove the RED WiRE in the RX servo lead coming from the ESC. Take it out of the black servo plug on the wire, and tape it to the wire, so its covered up. The Servo Plug from the BEC will be powering the RX.. so the red wire is not needed on the esc. This is how you use a BEC.

    noise is awfull. engine( front) seems light so put weights in that area.. never spin the tracks. never never. tracks ... must not be tight.
    some sag on top is good.a stick in trackchain can keep stones out of track. The worst thing is a stone/something caught
    between the shoes.
    which are hardened on real dozer and will snap break crack if this happens.
