As a bulldozer operator, it seems like the crew that knew what they were doing left and a some kids took over. They had a nice edge going, all you have to do is dump the dirt over the edge after that. Easy peasy. No need to cutting a grade at such a steep angle like that.

Can some one explain to me why did he mess around all that time when he could have simply hooked a chain and pulled him out . Wasted exercise i feel now he drags tha water out to get the trucks stuck.
Why they wasted time backfill around No6 dozer when a quick yank out using a wire rope did the trick. When back filling into water we were taught to keep the front edge 1m high, the edge then gets compacted as it moves forward.
This is insane that you will let a half million dollar machine sit in the water when you could of pulled ut out. Amd still had it working amd have twice as much done.

I’ve never done this kind of work and I can see the same thing your seeing! What that guy was doing just pushing sand on either side of the stuck Dozer is beyond me? In the end he just pulled him out anyway, then why not just do that to begin with?
They came really close to losing that engine. It is painful to watch him push the dozer into the water so far with the blade so low. The dozer doesn't need to get wet

If the stuck dozer would have pushed his blade down, lifting the front of the dozer in the tracks off the ground. The other dozer could have probably pushed enough sand under his tracks to get him out
Not bad but if it's a drop off then putting the blade down wouldn't help raise it as the blade would just be hitting nothing and even of it did hit anything he is putting all the weight on sand which is in the water so it would give way before the heavy dozer would lift up.
@@hilham89 with the blade up, the weight of the machine is spread evenly through the tracks. Also making the sand at the front of the tracks more likely to give way. By putting the blade down, IF it did give way, the blade would hit bottom first, keeping the noise of the machine roughly 2.5 ft higher than with it up. Witch may still not be enough, but any bit would help

I understand where you are coming from though with the blade being down but if there is nothing infront then putting the blade down would also put the weight out front which could cause the dozer to slide in further. It's hard to tell because of the water, I doubt it's that deep or how much sand they had already pushed over before this happened. It's all about what if really.

You should have cables connected to your dozers and I didn't see one connected to the first two dozers in the beginning. I was thinking with all the dirt the big Dozer was pushing that maybe he was going to try pushing from the front after building a dirt road to him but that didn't really make sense since his front end was so far down but he could have raised his blade and be pushed that way. I know in America you couldn't take a wetland and fill it full of dirt and if you did they would make you take the dirt out and restore the wetland. Hopefully they didn't kill all the fish if there was any.

I feel like this dozer intentionally got stuck for content. The speed was too Deliberate and the camera angle was too perfect. Not to mention how fast it went in reverse after the front end went down.
I've been watching videos on this channel for a long time and I love them, but I've never fully understood the point of throwing the earth into the water. The owner of the channel or anyone could explain what it is and why this is done? And the most important thing because a complete operation is never taught, the videos are always cut and there is no continuation in other new videos on the same operation.
My guess is that there hauling in spoil dirt or fill material off a big cut on another job truckng it here to fill in this low land, swamp, wet land what ever they call it there. Where they are either developing it for commercial use purposes or residentual use
Difficult work, the water always levels out. In the 60's and 70's I worked in Brazil making parts for tractors and many times I went to install them in inhospitable environments and saw many machines in this same situation...

Okay I get it now, you have to watch the whole video to see what the problem was, they didn't have a chain /cable. The big dozer was just doing work while somebody delivered them one. There went 30 minutes of my life
That's why lots of dozers have a 6 or 8 foot length of steel cable somewhere on them - usually hooked up to the hitch and lashed to the back ready to go.
The small dozer operator apparently thought his dozer was a hovercraft, see-n how he just keeps on moving forward way past the where the current edge cuts 📴... 🤣🤣🤣
So, the moving all the sand had nothing to do with the rescue, he just thought “whilst my mate can’t do anything I’m going to move as many loads as possible and rake in the money, in fact if I push enough sand in I may be able to raise the water level enough to wreck his engine and put him out of action for weeks! Where I live it is illegal to fill a swamp. If you need to, you have to recreate the swamp in a different area and reintegrate the biodiversity present in the swamp.

Tuesday dozer did not fail. There just was an inexperienced operator in the the cab. As an operator. You use the soil to push the soil into the water. They justvwent too far.
Swamps Fill. Good old fashioned diesel bulldozers grading in the mud. Dump, push, compact & dry. Back and forth, 10 hrs a day. Let it soak & dry overnight, and continue the next day. Repeat the process however many days needed, until the project is complete 🚜🚜🚜
They should always have emergency recovery system available at the work site. I watched six men standing by and one Dozer pushing sand, I was concerned he could burry the the sunk Dozer more under . First thing first, the should have right way pull it it out with the other foger.

As chief engineer, I didn't understand what they were trying to do. Both operators and their supervisors need to be fired immediately.
In the end they just worked around the problem until a guy with a chain showed up.

I am not a bulldozer operator, and don't know the other driver tasks, but pretty sure he could try towing at first 🤔
I am a heavy equipment operator and sure they absolutely could have pulled him out with the other dozer!
Maybe they don't have the towing tools on site, so the other dozer just do the work while waiting for the towing tools.

He actually got stuck and when he put it into reverse he wasn't getting any traction and his track was just spinning.
