Well I've been a dozer operator for 25 years and I absolutely have no clue what the hell they are doing it makes no sense at all, whoever is in charge of this circus needs to be replaced ASAP
As chief engineer, I didn't understand what they were trying to do. Both operators and their supervisors need to be fired immediately.
In the end they just worked around the problem until a guy with a chain showed up.
Back to back, Chain on and pull him out, Why all the time wasting?

I'm serious! Well I hope they didnt. But I used to work on barges doing sign work and docks... the boss lost one of his pins that we use to put the ramp on to unload the excavator off from the barge. I was free diving in murky water for 3 hours to find this pin. Kinda felt like the the same time wasted when we had extra pins

To me it looks like they did it on purpose for the Video because no operator in there right mind would have pushed in that far.
Plus moving all that material just to pull it back like they should have done first.

They probably pulling out water on top of the sand pile to facilitate compaction. That's the only reasonable explanation I can think of.

I am not a bulldozer operator, and don't know the other driver tasks, but pretty sure he could try towing at first 🤔
I am a heavy equipment operator and sure they absolutely could have pulled him out with the other dozer!
Maybe they don't have the towing tools on site, so the other dozer just do the work while waiting for the towing tools.

Can some one explain to me why did he mess around all that time when he could have simply hooked a chain and pulled him out . Wasted exercise i feel now he drags tha water out to get the trucks stuck.

Why they wasted time backfill around No6 dozer when a quick yank out using a wire rope did the trick. When back filling into water we were taught to keep the front edge 1m high, the edge then gets compacted as it moves forward.

As a bulldozer operator, it seems like the crew that knew what they were doing left and a some kids took over. They had a nice edge going, all you have to do is dump the dirt over the edge after that. Easy peasy. No need to cutting a grade at such a steep angle like that.
the question on last section of tape, why is he pulling so much water with plate down. i think this is the answere of these question. binding dust, need water
I don’t think that’s the case cause that truck that dumped a load of sand was sinking there for this wouldn’t have worked the closer the trucks got to the edge

This is insane that you will let a half million dollar machine sit in the water when you could of pulled ut out. Amd still had it working amd have twice as much done.

One dozer two trucks another machine in the front, you could pull it out backwards.
My first thought was 'Why not just tow it out' ?. After watching for 25 minutes and 44 seconds, they just towed it out......lol 😁

I've been watching videos on this channel for a long time and I love them, but I've never fully understood the point of throwing the earth into the water. The owner of the channel or anyone could explain what it is and why this is done? And the most important thing because a complete operation is never taught, the videos are always cut and there is no continuation in other new videos on the same operation.
This operator has no clue what to do & no supervision to direct him. Sad
My guess is that there hauling in spoil dirt or fill material off a big cut on another job truckng it here to fill in this low land, swamp, wet land what ever they call it there. Where they are either developing it for commercial use purposes or residentual use

This is utter confusion! Get some operators that know what the hell is going on… their lack of knowledge is costing you a lot of money for waist money! I have been doing this kind of work for 48 years!!!
I’ve never done this kind of work and I can see the same thing your seeing! What that guy was doing just pushing sand on either side of the stuck Dozer is beyond me? In the end he just pulled him out anyway, then why not just do that to begin with?

I feel like this dozer intentionally got stuck for content. The speed was too Deliberate and the camera angle was too perfect. Not to mention how fast it went in reverse after the front end went down.

He actually got stuck and when he put it into reverse he wasn't getting any traction and his track was just spinning.

So, the moving all the sand had nothing to do with the rescue, he just thought “whilst my mate can’t do anything I’m going to move as many loads as possible and rake in the money, in fact if I push enough sand in I may be able to raise the water level enough to wreck his engine and put him out of action for weeks! Money, money, money!”
If the stuck dozer would have pushed his blade down, lifting the front of the dozer in the tracks off the ground. The other dozer could have probably pushed enough sand under his tracks to get him out
Not bad but if it's a drop off then putting the blade down wouldn't help raise it as the blade would just be hitting nothing and even of it did hit anything he is putting all the weight on sand which is in the water so it would give way before the heavy dozer would lift up.
@@hilham89 with the blade up, the weight of the machine is spread evenly through the tracks. Also making the sand at the front of the tracks more likely to give way. By putting the blade down, IF it did give way, the blade would hit bottom first, keeping the noise of the machine roughly 2.5 ft higher than with it up. Witch may still not be enough, but any bit would help
@@boom-rl7me true, but we don't know how deep it is so putting the blade down would do nothing. I understand where you are coming from though with the blade being down but if there is nothing infront then putting the blade down would also put the weight out front which could cause the dozer to slide in further. It's hard to tell because of the water, I doubt it's that deep or how much sand they had already pushed over before this happened. It's all about what if really.

Cant understand why when the second dozer turned up, he didn't chain onto the stuck one and haul him out. Rescue dozer was on good ground

Where I live it is illegal to fill a swamp. If you need to, you have to recreate the swamp in a different area and reintegrate the biodiversity present in the swamp.

I am glad I skipped through the video knowing they just pushed dirt for 25 minutes and then decided to do what they should of done in the first 2 minutes and pulled it out.
I kept wondering why they were taking so long to pull him out. Maybe they had to send someone to the five and dime to get a cable. You should have cables connected to your dozers and I didn't see one connected to the first two dozers in the beginning. I was thinking with all the dirt the big Dozer was pushing that maybe he was going to try pushing from the front after building a dirt road to him but that didn't really make sense since his front end was so far down but he could have raised his blade and be pushed that way. I know in America you couldn't take a wetland and fill it full of dirt and if you did they would make you take the dirt out and restore the wetland. Hopefully they didn't kill all the fish if there was any.

Tuesday dozer did not fail. There just was an inexperienced operator in the the cab. As an operator. You use the soil to push the soil into the water. They justvwent too far.
So instead of just hooking a wire to the one thats stuck and drag it out you just put all that work in? Good Job
Difficult work, the water always levels out. In the 60's and 70's I worked in Brazil making parts for tractors and many times I went to install them in inhospitable environments and saw many machines in this same situation...

Good old fashioned diesel bulldozers grading in the mud. Dump, push, compact & dry. Back and forth, 10 hrs a day. Let it soak & dry overnight, and continue the next day. Repeat the process however many days needed, until the project is complete 🚜🚜🚜
That took way longer than it should have. Should of backed behind him and pulled him out in the first place
Okay I get it now, you have to watch the whole video to see what the problem was, they didn't have a chain /cable. The big dozer was just doing work while somebody delivered them one. There went 30 minutes of my life
That's why lots of dozers have a 6 or 8 foot length of steel cable somewhere on them - usually hooked up to the hitch and lashed to the back ready to go.

The one dozer is stuck so what's happening is the second one is taunting it with its ability to still function. The hope here is that in a fit of rage it will muster the strength to break free from the mud.

They should always have emergency recovery system available at the work site. I watched six men standing by and one Dozer pushing sand, I was concerned he could burry the the sunk Dozer more under . First thing first, the should have right way pull it it out with the other foger.

Mishap X happens at least once a week so we keep the 5+ sets of gear (worth < $1000 each), used to fix these types of mishaps at least a 2-hour drive away from the site, as we sit there burning $30,000 an hour waiting for someone to go get one.

It seems to me like the recovery dozer driver was teaching the first driver a valuable lesson.
the second dozer driver did not know what to do either and panicking, that is why they wasted a lot of time to get him out
