    Wow even the driver in this very old basic test got an Acceptable for the head. And we’re not even talking the rear yet. Glad to see the institute still doing this test keeping manufacturers on their toes

      You do realize they’ve revised this test and the side impact test to make them harder. Which is why this car did poorly. So it isn’t like they’re still doing the same test they’ve been doing since the 90’s, they’re doing an updated variant of it with the car moving faster and a rear passenger.

    So with the updated side impact ratings, where does the 2022/23 pathfinder fall into the changed ratings?
    I am curious as my next vehicle is either the pathfinder, ascent, traverse. I took off the pilot and the highlander until they get a better score.
    The CX9 is discontinued as of this year with the introduction of the CX90. What was the CX90s crash rating?

      @iihs-hldi  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      For updated side crash tests, the 2022-23 Pathfinder earns a good rating. We have not yet evaluated the CX-90.

      @@abcdefu721 I believe the car also is moving faster because average car speeds have been increasing. Same situation with the side impact where the impact hits a more narrow part of the car and at a higher speed.
