I too have Emetophobia, severe fear of vomiting. I was on a subreddit for Emetophobia, and deep dive into random Emetophobia support videos led me to randomly discover this disease. Emetophobia is controlling and debilitating, I wouldn't be able to survive either with the disease as well. But I've attained so much awareness and knowledge of this disease in such a short time. All those who suffer with this disease are so strong and you have my absolute respect! I know so much about it now, it was even featured on a Grey's Anatomy episode. I pray for a cure someday, or very helpful treatments, for such difficult digestive, stomach, etc. diseases. Stay strong! 🙏🙏🙏

Just being nauseous and the physical feeling associated with dry heaves is bad enough. The worst however is dealing with an ulcer related to an H pylori infection. I went through just that back in the summer and fall of 2020.
How’re you not in the ER all the time? I just got diagnosed with this after YEARS of no idea what was wrong w/ me. The pain, nausea, vomiting, sweating, panic… Christ almighty I am so sorry you deal w/ this. It’s ruining my life.
If you had to choose, I would do tube feeding before TPN. TPN has a high risk of infection. Wowshing you love and peace. Keep fighting. You are a warrior.
Thank you for your suggestion! I was told by a dr in the hospital that TPN is "hard on the veins", and I definitely don't need more chances to get an infection in my bloodstream as I've already fought sepsis twice and endocarditis from bacteremia.
I've had sepsis ten times from infections because of my TPN, and it's really hard on your other organs too, like your liver, so it's not an option that should be taken lightly I agree 👍
Hey. Im in the UK and I also have severe CVS. I got diagnosed in my 30s after years of symptoms. Im active right now on day 3, its horrific. I'm at the dry heaving/bile stage too. Oh girl I feel you my lips/mouth have cracked and bled from throwing up ajd retching, it sucks! Vaseline helps. My attacks start very late at night or very early in the morning, and for between 36 hours and 7 days, it'll be 24/7 throwing up 6-8 times an hour. I just had a dr out to my house who gave me liquid diazepam and Odanestron, I've been on Levomepromazine which is a palliative care/last resort drug here in the UK. It terrifies me that it doesnt stop my symptoms. I just wanted to tell you, you're a whole inspiration you beatiful girl. I cant help but admire your strength and positivity, but i feel for you so bad bc your symptoms mirror my own, I wouldbt wish this on my worst enemy. Its so rare here in the UK our drs dont seem to know very much about CVS or treating it, I'm praying they help me figure this out idk how people are supposed to live with this 😢 you'll be in prayers ❤
I have this myself it’s so dam nasty I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. It’s so hard to deal with it and my doctors will not medicate me right for it . So my episode last about 10 days and end up in hospital for a week then come right for a few weeks then it hits again. Thank you for sharing your story beautiful girl . Sorry you have this too. I recently found out I have gastroparesis which is the cause of my CVS. Maybe you should look into that because if you have it there are more treatment options available. Unfortunately I’ve been reacting to all the meds they’ve put me on. Lots of love 💜💖

My 18 yr old daughter just got diagnosed with this and it’s absolutely devastating. We have spent the last 2 getting admitted too many times to count. She has had 2 Mallory Weiss tears that both led to pneumomediastinums. This last stay she was diagnosed with severe malnutrition, low calcium and her potassium was 2.3 at admission. She also Carrie’s around a cup for the little spits. So many similarities. Sorry you both go through this. Thanks for sharing about it.
I used to suffer from emetophobia, until someone vomited in my lap on the plane. I thought I was going to die 😢After that incident, my fear of vomiting went away and oddly, I now search for videos of people vomiting. It’s like a form of exposure therapy That incident did something to my brain chemistry.

I have Classical EDS! I suggest trying all options before tpn! I’ve been on tpn for 13 months and have a g and j tube and j tube failed for feeds! I’m stuck at 15ml/hr and can’t tolerate feeds due to intestinal failure, gastroparesis, crohns, celiac! Tpn is extremely bad on kidneys and liver, I also have 6 autoimmune disorders 3 are terminal, and mast cell! Tpn is last resort, I already have kidney disease with basement cell membrane disease, chronic proteinuria and hematuria! Pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, lung nodules, and hemoptysis u got this and I’m here for u

Yes! My CVS is ALWAYS worse at night or early in the morning. I just throw up bile. Even if I've eaten food . Once we were actually on the way hime from a restaurant and only 20 min after eating, I began having the flare, began salivating, etc. I get a 99.6-100.4. My nirm is 97.6. At my worst I was hospitalized 24x between 2014-2020 for CVS and related illnesses. I love you, my warrior soster. Hang in there! God isn't finished with you yet!! 💙💪🏻🙏🏼

Worse in the morning. I don’t vomit constantly, but throw up from once or twice to 8 or 10 times a day with nausea and no appetite. Sometimes I can eat in the evening. No pain but horrible anxiety and panic. It’s hard to know how much anxiety causes it and how much anxiety is caused by it. So far these periods last 4 to 8 weeks.
I been throwing up all night long and I couldn’t stop and I been feeling cold and shivering too and sweaty but I don’t feel any migraines I can’t figure why I’m throwing up all the time it’s been happening to me about every few months
My cyclic vomiting syndrome is terrible in the mornings. I wake up and dry heave and can’t even drink water in the mornings. Usually if I try to eat I can’t even take one bite
Yes for me is also more the nights. As soon as the sun comes out I feel a bit calmer and can allow myself to get some rest with constant guided meditations
I also sing just keep singing when I have an episode too, my longest episode was 10 days I ended up in the ice as well. I just wanted to let you know mines is worse morning and night, also juice is also sore on your throat try ice pops, they help alot. I drool when I'm sick too I never knew it was a cvs thing!
Hey there sweet girl. I too am on Medicaid for many chronic illnesses. I would look into WELLCARE of your state. Wellcare has been my best. You can also speak to a financial representative/case manager to make sure you get the best care for your needs. Praying you get the best outcome. Praying also that your health stabalizes.
Do you ever get bloated? When i have an episode, my stomach expands like im 9months pregnant. I have stretch marks from it happening every morning until i throw up all day, and it goes back down when the bile is all out of my system. Burping is the best though, that tiny bit of relief is everything
At this point where we are of my husband I'm at a point where I might have to accept the fact of tube feeding. If you were able to read this I would really like advice or even a conversation privately to explain how his symptoms are and how it started for you etc. Just really need someone that understands what's going on.
Hi dear. I’m so sorry to hear your husband has this awful illness and that you have to witness it. It’s so rough and takes a lot of resilience and strength. Not many GI’s understand it, I’ve had the symptoms since childhood and it wasn’t until my 30’s that I had it diagnosed when I was inpatient in the hospital for a bad flare up. It seems the only GI’s who get it are the ones in the hospital. Even in the ER they’re not too familiar with it. The unfortunate thing is there’s no treatments other than anti-emetics. I’ve learned to avoid triggers like eating too many oxalates, strong odors, and high stress, all of which trigger an attack. Feel free to add me on Instagram and DM me. He also wants to heal our souls not just our bodies. I pray that the Lord heals your unbelief in Him that you’re struggling with. I pray that the Lord takes the bitterness in your heart and replaces it with peace. We all have tests and will have trials to make us stronger. People typically love that until they realize that God is testing them or he’s letting evil test them. We can’t blame God for what we do or curse God because he allows things. He’s not a dictator he wants us to come to Him freely. But he is loving. And many times we struggle and when we surrender to God we learn our struggle made us stronger and with the Lord our faith is more certain and even if we don’t heal we still praise Him. He is good all the time. And the book of Job is the best example of what many believers may go through. If we go through the fire God will see us through. We just have to rest in Him and keep going. Have faith the Lord never said we wouldn’t struggle He just told us to rely on Him and rest in Him. But speak no unbelief in the prayer of the Lord but add to the prayer and believe. You know he can heal, what good is it to complain when He could do it if He wants? That’s going against the plan. Trust in Him and believe not speak evil over these people he loves and holds.

This is what disciplines did and I only say it when I know God has told me to. I ask before I say anything. So when I ask God does he want these people healed, and he tells me yes, I command the body or demons out of people but not against God’s will. I ask first. And also if we speak unbelief we can affect others faith. You can question God’s will or plan all you want, but please don’t cause those who are believing in this prayer to read or hear doubt. Faith is of the things not seen and if it’s His will and wants to he will. It’s okay to ask. Are you upset at God for his sovereignty if so tell God to help you understand. I had to deal with this same thing, but take anything you have to God. God is sovereign so his will is His will and he does what He pleases. If he heals praise God and if he doesn’t praise God. He gives us so much. And when he saves our souls praise God even unto death. But look I love you, read the world of God and ask him for understanding of these things and thank him when you speak with Him. I know life is hard but he hurts when we do. He’s the best run to Him. I share your frustration with insurance problems especially when doctors offices refuse to take you as a patient all on account of the specific insurance provider you've signed up with. I'm on medicaid as well and am having a difficult time just finding a pulmonologist who is willing to accept my insurance. I swear our nation's Healthcare system is more concerned about profits than providing adequate patient care, the federal government is in on it as well because they make a huge cut of the profits for themselves as well.

I have been suffering from CVS for maybe 15 years now. I am not nearly as severe as you.. My "episodes" only last for roughly 12 hours and I am on a monthly cycle while unmedicated but I was recently prescribed Zonisamide (100mg) which has cut my cycle down to once every 3 months. So the Zonisamide. The last time I read literature the current theory is CVS is a migraine or even a seizure in you primitive gut "brain". The Zonisamide helps control that. Maybe something to talk to your doctor about. I was prescribed it by an honest to God CVS specialist. I actually have more issues with episodes in the morning as opposed to night, but I've never been a morning person..

Interesting about the seizures, I always suspected there may be a connection between my CVS, migraines and seizures, although I haven’t had any big ones since I’ve been on daily IV saline. You need the right diet and the right medication. We can fly to the moon and I’m pretty sure u can heal it. Because I had it to/ or have it it depends how you look at this.

Claire, I pray that you don’t take offense my sister. I was looking at the part where it says “FAQs” and I instantly felt the Holy Spirit tell me to tell you this in love. As a former astrologist I got involved into something that I thought nothing bad of, as a matter of fact it’s my testimony it lead me to Jesus. I went from astrology, to tarot’s, and boards and I got myself entangled and went through an experience that almost killed me. My friend I come in love and want you to know that stuff in astrology is divination, and we must stay very far away from it as Christians. You know I love you as a friend and don’t want Jesus to be upset with me for not telling you. It’s witchcraft my friend, I used to follow it unknowingly and didn’t think anything of it, but God says in Galatians 5 they did do such things shall not inherent the kingdom of God, we must be aware of the enemy satans tactics and not let him deceive us my friend. I seen that part of astrology and was like “oh I must warn her”, please girl don’t let anyone decieve you! The way I became filled with the spirit of God and born again was I repented and was baptized in Jesus name, you can have your mom baptize you in the bathtub and ask Jesus to forgive your sins and that you want him to baptize you with the Holy Spirit because we must be born again to enter into heaven. In acts 2:38 and John 3:3, one of these days my sister, if you haven’t been baptized ask your mom to just dunk you in the bath water in Jesus name and you shall receive the power of the Holy Spirit! The Bible says we must walk after spirit and truth and that flesh and blood does not inherit his kingdom, and once I understood that before I was baptized I was in the flesh and truly wasn’t born again, but as his spirit comes to live inside of us, we can live victorious and overcome sin! I still wonder whether genetics is the reason behind such diseases, I know for a fact that migraines are a major factor behind such diseases related to GI. So if your family members had migraines then the offspring and future generation will suffer from either Migraine headaches or abdominal migraines or cyclic vomitting syndrome.
I’m 41 years old and I have CVS disorder and was diagnosed at one years old. I missed all of third grade I can’t even count how many times I threw up today I’m a single mother of one child and my son helps me eat soup and eat applesauce when I have my flareups which is pretty much every day of my life especially the older I get I have to lay down because I get so tired and my flare ups are usually between 3 o’clock in the morning and four.. I’m also on the same medication as you like Zofran and amitriptyline and I have other G.I. problems as well and I take Linzess for that. I hope you can maybe or if not have you already spoken to a new G.I. specialist? You’re very brave to make this video and more people I need to know about this because sometimes I feel like I’m the only person in the world with it. CBD/medical cannabis give me the most relief but unfortunately it’s very expensive and I can’t always get it and that’s when I get horribly sick. I have Classical EDS! I suggest trying all options before tpn! I’ve been on tpn for 13 months and have a g and j tube and j tube failed for feeds! I’m stuck at 15ml/hr and can’t tolerate feeds due to intestinal failure, gastroparesis, crohns, celiac! Tpn is extremely bad on kidneys and liver, I also have 6 autoimmune disorders 3 are terminal, and mast cell! Tpn is last resort, I already have kidney disease with basement cell membrane disease, chronic proteinuria and hematuria! Pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, lung nodules, and hemoptysis u got this and I’m here for u

Yes! My CVS is ALWAYS worse at night or early in the morning. I just throw up bile. Even if I've eaten food . Once we were actually on the way hime from a restaurant and only 20 min after eating, I began having the flare, began salivating, etc. I get a 99.6-100.4. My nirm is 97.6. At my worst I was hospitalized 24x between 2014-2020 for CVS and related illnesses. I love you, my warrior soster. Hang in there! God isn't finished with you yet!! 💙💪🏻🙏🏼

Worse in the morning. I don’t vomit constantly, but throw up from once or twice to 8 or 10 times a day with nausea and no appetite. Sometimes I can eat in the evening. No pain but horrible anxiety and panic. It’s hard to know how much anxiety causes it and how much anxiety is caused by it. So far these periods last 4 to 8 weeks.
I been throwing up all night long and I couldn’t stop and I been feeling cold and shivering too and sweaty but I don’t feel any migraines I can’t figure why I’m throwing up all the time it’s been happening to me about every few months

My cyclic vomiting syndrome is terrible in the mornings. I wake up and dry heave and can’t even drink water in the mornings. Usually if I try to eat I can’t even take one bite
Yes for me is also more the nights. As soon as the sun comes out I feel a bit calmer and can allow myself to get some rest with constant guided meditations

I also sing just keep singing when I have an episode too, my longest episode was 10 days I ended up in the ice as well.
I just wanted to let you know mines is worse morning and night, also juice is also sore on your throat try ice pops, they help alot.
I drool when I'm sick too I never knew it was a cvs thing!
My friend she has symptoms of this but she is not diagnosed with it but she continues having episodes like these I just hope you get better soon

Hey there sweet girl. I too am on Medicaid for many chronic illnesses. I would look into WELLCARE of your state. Wellcare has been my best. You can also speak to a financial representative/case manager to make sure you get the best care for your needs. Praying you get the best outcome. Praying also that your health stabalizes.

Do you ever get bloated? When i have an episode, my stomach expands like im 9months pregnant. I have stretch marks from it happening every morning until i throw up all day, and it goes back down when the bile is all out of my system. Burping is the best though, that tiny bit of relief is everything

Hi dear. I’m so sorry to hear your husband has this awful illness and that you have to witness it. It’s so rough and takes a lot of resilience and strength. Not many GI’s understand it, I’ve had the symptoms since childhood and it wasn’t until my 30’s that I had it diagnosed when I was inpatient in the hospital for a bad flare up. It seems the only GI’s who get it are the ones in the hospital. Even in the ER they’re not too familiar with it. The unfortunate thing is there’s no treatments other than anti-emetics. I’ve learned to avoid triggers like eating too many oxalates, strong odors, and high stress, all of which trigger an attack. Feel free to add me on Instagram and DM me. @@Tumbledweeb suffering will happen but God heals. It’s because we sinned hat we suffer. If we surrender and humble ourselves and pray to the Lord he will heal us. He also wants to heal our souls not just our bodies. I pray that the Lord heals your unbelief in Him that you’re struggling with. I pray that the Lord takes the bitterness in your heart and replaces it with peace. We all have tests and will have trials to make us stronger. People typically love that until they realize that God is testing them or he’s letting evil test them. We can’t blame God for what we do or curse God because he allows things. He’s not a dictator he wants us to come to Him freely. But he is loving. And many times we struggle and when we surrender to God we learn our struggle made us stronger and with the Lord our faith is more certain and even if we don’t heal we still praise Him. He is good all the time. And the book of Job is the best example of what many believers may go through. If we go through the fire God will see us through. We just have to rest in Him and keep going. Have faith the Lord never said we wouldn’t struggle He just told us to rely on Him and rest in Him. But speak no unbelief in the prayer of the Lord but add to the prayer and believe. You know he can heal, what good is it to complain when He could do it if He wants? That’s going against the plan. Trust in Him and believe not speak evil over these people he loves and holds.

@@Tumbledweeb No my friend when I command a body in Jesus name to be healed it’s faith and according to his power he gave those who believe. I’m commanding a body but it’s God who chooses to do it. This is what disciplines did and I only say it when I know God has told me to. I ask before I say anything. So when I ask God does he want these people healed, and he tells me yes, I command the body or demons out of people but not against God’s will. I ask first. And also if we speak unbelief we can affect others faith. You can question God’s will or plan all you want, but please don’t cause those who are believing in this prayer to read or hear doubt. Faith is of the things not seen and if it’s His will and wants to he will. It’s okay to ask. Are you upset at God for his sovereignty if so tell God to help you understand. I had to deal with this same thing, but take anything you have to God. God is sovereign so his will is His will and he does what He pleases. If he heals praise God and if he doesn’t praise God. He gives us so much. And when he saves our souls praise God even unto death. But look I love you, read the world of God and ask him for understanding of these things and thank him when you speak with Him. I know life is hard but he hurts when we do. He’s the best run to Him. Run to Jesus.

I share your frustration with insurance problems especially when doctors offices refuse to take you as a patient all on account of the specific insurance provider you've signed up with. I'm on medicaid as well and am having a difficult time just finding a pulmonologist who is willing to accept my insurance.
I swear our nation's Healthcare system is more concerned about profits than providing adequate patient care, the federal government is in on it as well because they make a huge cut of the profits for themselves as well.

I have been suffering from CVS for maybe 15 years now. I am not nearly as severe as you.. My "episodes" only last for roughly 12 hours and I am on a monthly cycle while unmedicated but I was recently prescribed Zonisamide (100mg) which has cut my cycle down to once every 3 months.
So the Zonisamide. The last time I read literature the current theory is CVS is a migraine or even a seizure in you primitive gut "brain". The Zonisamide helps control that. Maybe something to talk to your doctor about. I was prescribed it by an honest to God CVS specialist.
I actually have more issues with episodes in the morning as opposed to night, but I've never been a morning person..
Thank you for the recommendation! Yes mornings are bad for me as well as middle of the night! I can rarely, if ever even get myself to film in the morning. Interesting about the seizures, I always suspected there may be a connection between my CVS, migraines and seizures, although I haven’t had any big ones since I’ve been on daily IV saline. I’m so sorry I have had CVS since I was 7 years old I’m about to be 38 and am in a episode right now.. I take meds to prevent and abort but it just won’t go away! I have Severe CVS like you do.. mine hits me early mornings just out of no where.. sometimes I can feel it come in at night.. I do have times when I’m perfectly fine.. but then when seasons change.. or I start my period.. or my severe depression hits it makes it so much worse.. I pray for you.. Claire, I pray that you don’t take offense my sister. I was looking at the part where it says “FAQs” and I instantly felt the Holy Spirit tell me to tell you this in love. As a former astrologist I got involved into something that I thought nothing bad of, as a matter of fact it’s my testimony it lead me to Jesus. I went from astrology, to tarot’s, and boards and I got myself entangled and went through an experience that almost killed me. My friend I come in love and want you to know that stuff in astrology is divination, and we must stay very far away from it as Christians. You know I love you as a friend and don’t want Jesus to be upset with me for not telling you. It’s witchcraft my friend, I used to follow it unknowingly and didn’t think anything of it, but God says in Galatians 5 they did do such things shall not inherent the kingdom of God, we must be aware of the enemy satans tactics and not let him deceive us my friend. I seen that part of astrology and was like “oh I must warn her”, please girl don’t let anyone decieve you!
The way I became filled with the spirit of God and born again was I repented and was baptized in Jesus name, you can have your mom baptize you in the bathtub and ask Jesus to forgive your sins and that you want him to baptize you with the Holy Spirit because we must be born again to enter into heaven. In acts 2:38 and John 3:3, one of these days my sister, if you haven’t been baptized ask your mom to just dunk you in the bath water in Jesus name and you shall receive the power of the Holy Spirit!
The Bible says we must walk after spirit and truth and that flesh and blood does not inherit his kingdom, and once I understood that before I was baptized I was in the flesh and truly wasn’t born again, but as his spirit comes to live inside of us, we can live victorious and overcome sin! I still wonder whether genetics is the reason behind such diseases, I know for a fact that migraines are a major factor behind such diseases related to GI. So if your family members had migraines then the offspring and future generation will suffer from either Migraine headaches or abdominal migraines or cyclic vomitting syndrome.
Yes a lot of my illnesses run in my family, on both sides.

I’m 41 years old and I have CVS disorder and was diagnosed at one years old. I missed all of third grade I can’t even count how many times I threw up today I’m a single mother of one child and my son helps me eat soup and eat applesauce when I have my flareups which is pretty much every day of my life especially the older I get I have to lay down because I get so tired and my flare ups are usually between 3 o’clock in the morning and four.. I’m also on the same medication as you like Zofran and amitriptyline and I have other G.I. problems as well and I take Linzess for that. I hope you can maybe or if not have you already spoken to a new G.I. specialist? You’re very brave to make this video and more people I need to know about this because sometimes I feel like I’m the only person in the world with it.
