They can do it to the whole car also it’s a bit pricy but if you live in an area that has a lot of dust / pollen or if you drive often it is worth it . Whatever’s dirty pretty much comes right off
The ceramic coating you used was which? Also was this a simple coating or was this a process done over night and aeveral hours for a thicker ceramic coating?
Wiping the wheels after rinsing it and not washing it breaks down the ceramic coating and decreases the overall life of the coating. The brake dust and iron is an abrasive. But they do look tons better with a simple rinse lol
You will degrade that coating if you just wipe it with a towel and not properly washing it with a dedicated wheel cleaner that is ph neutral. You will cause lots of scratches from a simple towel that will remove the coating. Be careful!
Don’t do that again. FIRST soap the wheels, let it settle and break the dirt and dust for 4-5min, then powerwash it. Then apply soap again, use a special microfiber wash mit to agitate the remaining dust imbedded in the clearcoat so you have slickness and you don’t scratch the paint of the wheels, and only then powerwash the second type. Do this to all 4 wheels and only then do the same to the car. Nice car by the way.
@@D1G1TALSYNAPS3 sneaky jump cut lmfao? Get your tin foil hat off. This product wasn’t sent to me for free, I wasn’t paid to advertise for anyone. It’s a video on a product I purchased and tried. Conspiracies are fun, but sorry to burst your bubble on this one
The fact that they didn’t develop new things for this car yet both the type r and this car are overpriced (then don’t get me started on the markup) just sucks. They don’t even pair an auto option at such a high price. But if I’m complaining about the price of the car then that car wasn’t made for someone like me.
Just do the spotless rinse and don’t wipe them. Ceramic coatings are VERY chemical resistant but mechanical friction such as a rag and brake dust will degrade the coating pretty quickly. Do a proper wash every so often but you can definitely get away with a foam canon, and final spotless rinse to air dry.
At least use a rinseless wash before touching them directly with the rag. If you don’t use anything to remove the brake dust and just wipe you are gradually clogging the ceramic
Don't use r"aiges" on any surface especially Bimmer's like this, without a lubricating quick detailer. luckily the white wheels hide "scraitches" caused by dry wiping 😆
@Dakota Stone yeah that's like saying i took a shower but didn't lather with soap and rinse because I have a lotion on that protects my skin. now if I take my towel and dry off am I clean? a little. not all the dirt was gone when you pressure washed them so you're wiping whatever dirt is left around on the surface, introducing scratches. I only saying because I've been detailing for 14 years and have messed up many of rims in the past just pressure washing them then wiping clean thinking the same thing do what you want but if you really care about the finish, lubricate at every step that you wipe. I'm not trying to be an ass. you're cool. just saying from experience extra 10 seconds to spray ONR on the wet wheel or quick detailer will prevent any chance of scratch. good video though 👍
@@DakotaStoneAnybody with casual familiarity with material science will know that pressure washing ANY dirty automotive finish will force the jagged dirt particles across the surface. Not knowing this actually wins you the previously referenced award. Good day!
after making them look 3 million times better with a pressure wash , you proceed to rub in the last 10% of course brake dust into the coating . looking forward to the next short vid saying it was a waste of time because you just 40grit rubbed that coating off your wheels , LOL
Always keep extra raygs in a bayg in your car.

Hi youtube
why is there like no one here with youtube?!
What did you use?!?
What ceramic coat or ceramic spray did you use?
Love the supra, hella clean man
Thank you!
Nice work? What brand did you use and you took the wheels off right?
What ceramic coating did you use?

Starting up a lil car wash business wit my homie super glad I can show him this now 👌🏾👌🏾😎😎😎
Hell yeah! Good luck on the bizz!

How should someone wash their car then after rinsing to prevent rubbing contaminates on the coating???
Compressed air 👌
@@Lvl2farmerfoam cannon to soak on paint, after a few minutes rinse, re foam, light wash with clean microfiber towel, rinse off soap.
Remove the coating on one wheel and pressure wash the same. Still 100% worth it?
What coating did you use?
What video has your coating them? I want to see this. Maybe do this to my wheels. Will it work on matte black wheels?
I actually did it live on Instagram and didn’t save the video. It’s really simple tho and a lot of videos out there!
@@DakotaStone ok thanks, it works on matte black? Or just matte is general?
@@cliftonsargent1572 it works fine on matte, just gives it a slight sheen, but makes the colour much deeper too.

What are the top 3 ceramic coatings for wheels ?
Wonder if it will work on polished wheels?
Will you be doing a “how to video” on ceramic coating wheels? Does it work on chrome wheels?
I did it live! Should have done a how to, but there a bunch of videos out there
The real question is, how long does the ceramic coating last / remain effective?
Great work!
Name of the product?
I love my ceramic coated wheels.super easy to clean up
Yessir!
What do those weigh ?
Why don't you pre-soak the wheels with soap first to dilute it? It's too risky and rough now that you just rinse it dry.
Soo if you ceramic coat your wheels can you still use cleaners ? Would it mess up the coat ?
If you ceramic coat. All you need is a pressure washer and a rag and that’s it. Makes cleaning wheels so much easier.
What wheels and spec pls
Definitely helps with the rayg in your bayg!
looking good man nice videos
Wisconsin to Tennessee sounds like a nice drive.
It was beautiful! Minus the construction..
As long as you mostly avoid Illinois.
I did. It definitely was!

what rims is that?
Don’t just wipe brake dust off with a rayg. Get some soap lubrication on there and wash them with a soapy towel. Yes, a good wheel coating is 👌🏼
Here, in Brazil: Your car are called: "Charanga" or "Carreta". Show! Beautiful!
It definitely works. Even better if you start cleaning with some pre-wash/degreaser

Should have used soap anyway to minimize scratching the costs with the brake dust and lubricate the proccess
Minimizing scratching is the point of the ceramic coat.
