Yeah, they did the major scale solo in the middle shorter, and the opened up on the minor scale solo at the end. Very good, but I think the keyboard and guitar bridge section they did on War Pigs was more creative.

@markdavis1358: That's not why we that. It's a token of respect for the original song, as well as giving the listener's ear a chance to settle into the groove before you 'branch out'.
I'm 72 and I've seen a lot of live music in my time, including Led Zeppelin at the Fillmore East in '69 on acid (me, maybe them?), Hendrix, Santana, McLaughlin, too many to list, all of them seen back in the day when they were on fire. So, I'm not easily impressed but I'd have no reservations placing Maximillian in the pantheon of great rock guitarists. The Main Squeeze as a band is as tight as they come, if they were around in the 60's, they'd be as famous as the greats of that time. This rendition of Comfortably Numb is unfuckingbelievable!
Also, that pianist/keyboard player is spot on in every video I've seen of these guys. And the bassist and vocalist are on it too! Phenomenal Band all around

That was the best reinterpretation of Gilmour's iconic solo I have ever heard, but you managed to not just pay homage to the original but also make it distinctly your own. Fantastic
Incredibly talented yes, but I was during the solo thinking about what makes Gilmoure so very special, and I came up with: "Less is more" in this case. Just one man's opinion.
I’ve seen David Gilmour play this solo 5 times. And he’s awesome, obviously. But the fact that you reinterpreted the solo rather than copy it was literally awe inspiring.
My best friend and I learn to play guitar and drums in my basement decades ago. We aren’t on the level of these guys but when you hit that zone it’s like telepathy. It’s an incredible feeling. It’s like you’re not on planet earth anymore.
The first thing everybody thinks about when listening to this song is David Gilmour's profound artistic expression in his solos and if the guitarist covering them will be able to even come close to that level of "feeling", and whether those licks will be honored or just repeated. Max does as good a job at honoring David's work as anyone possibly could. From a sound guy, the mixing was exceptional. From a Pink Floyd junkie, this rendition was special in every way.
Agreed. The mix is outstanding. Max is one of the only guitarists out there who could play this, honor Gilmour, and add his own twist and keep it super tasty and with all the feeling. Just incredible.
@@beatsbydrew8930 As a guitarist I agree with you... both sound and style don't fit the song. Until now I have always found his style an added value while here in my opinion it doesn't fit well.
