Season 2 is already in the writing phase. Riordan and his team is already working on the script. They shared about it on Insta. I hope it gets announced soon. Absolutely loved this show!
Lance killed it as Zeus. It's so sad this is his last performance but what a high note to go out on, he was phenomenal Also Toby speaking ancient Greek took me by surprise but 🔥🔥😍 YES PLEASE thank you, Disney 😂 I 100% understand Sally on a spiritual level now lmao And the fact that Poseidon still dreams about her??? I was not expecting to get this emotional over this show but they gutted me these last two episodes and I am not okay 😭 I hope season 2 is announced soon, the story just gets even better from here EDIT: If you want more sad dad Toby his character in Lost In Space is exactly that and he gets some great material in it
My girl Thalia being "Tree B**ch" is craaazy. I guess he could have made her into a statue or something but the tree is more symbolic....like her heroic spirit is nourishing the camp and safeguarding the next generation of heroes.
OOOORR he could have literally stopped the things chasing her. Ooooorrr he could have picked her up and moved her in the camp. Like Sir....this was your best idea!?!
@@ManicMeeks He could have done those things. Technically though, she wasn't supposed to have been born in the first place, and its more convenient for Zeus if she just isn't around.
I haven't even seen it, but I knew this reaction was the one I was waiting on. Luke was head of Hermes cabin, which is where all the new kids go till they are claimed, so he was basically always greeting all the new kids. Clarisse also didn't mess with him because he was he best swordsman in camp and had a lot of glory too. He had the rep that Percy didn't
I can absolutely see that. I feel like seeing all those kids his Dad kept making with no regard for the ones he had before might have pissed him off royally too.
@@ManicMeeks oh yeah. Luke being basically the oldest sibling that ends up playing daddy to all the other kids. And knowing your dad can basically appear anywhere he wants but doesn't come see his own kids? Luke is a very layered villain.
As a long time fan of the book, this show made me so happy. Yeah, there were some parts that could be improved, and the pacing is a bit fast in some parts, but I think they did the best they could with the limits they were given by Disney. The author said that he intentionally changed some stuff from the books as well to either avoid filler/unnecessary detours or to modernize some of the story since it originally took place in the early 2000s. It's also why they did open casting for the characters instead of going with the book descriptions. They wanted to focus on who could embody the soul of the character over who looked like them. I loved seeing your reaction as someone who went into it completely blind. Your commentary was hilarious. Your reaction was probably one of my favorites that I've seen!
I love your reactions so much omfg. This finale was everything, absolutely everything to me. I want all 5 seasons asap. I hate Zeus but Lance was absolutely fantastic, powerful, amazing. May he rest in peace 🙏🏾
You dogging on Zeus for turning his daughter into a tree was me when I read that in the book. Cause I agree he could have easily wiped out the monsters but chose to turn his daughter into a tree.
Fun fact: Lukes sword Backbiter is half steel and half celestial bronze and it’s pretty much one of a kind because it’s unnatural to mix godly metal with mortal metal, it’s extremely challenging to make them meld together so not just anyone make a weapon like that
theres two reasons why zeus specifically turned thalia into a tree instead of interfering and simply saving her. but one of those reasons is a major spoiler so i wont mention it (you'll probably find out in s3 or just read book3 lol( The other reasontho is that non of the olympians can interfere with other olympian's plans and stuff. so Hades sent the monsters after thalia (and friends) meaning none of their parents were allowed to intervene and firectly save them. other than that the greek parents rarely paid attention to their kids anyways so...
I wonder if I had watched/read this series for the first time at this age if I would also figure out that Luke is the traitor before the reveal bc 11 year old me was SHOCKKEDDD let me tell you but I fear I still might not have as things go over my head
@@EmperorDxDI mean I feel like the shoes trying to drag grover, and percy only having like 3 maybe 4 friends at the time made the prophecy obvious . @@darthekul1 true I just didn't like the Luke turn not because it's like but because he suddenly became a moustache twerling Villian immediately in the 5 book he became super complex but before that he was so different I think the show's change is more in line with Luke from the 5 book it will probably make that part more painful
I just immediately suspicious of someone who walks around with an entourage. Not to mention Clarisse backed down when Luke told her to cut it out. I wonder if she is actually working with Luke or will be working with Luke later.
i just read it for the first time in my early twenties a couple years ago. But i also wonder if I would've figured stuff out or not cause i was majorly spoiled going into the first book
I was so sad seeing Lance. I looked it up and Kronos was Nick Boraine who played Peter Ashe in Black Sails. Which automatically makes me hate Kronos more lol.
Luke's reveal scene was done completely different. In the book Luke has a scorpion that stings Percy and he passes out then wakes up to everyone finding him. I like this version more cause it let Percy and Luke have a more emotional scene/fight and allowed Luke to show that he truly doesn't wanna hurt Percy and wants him to join his side. my only hope for the next seasons is that they show more of the mythological and "scary side" of Greek Mythology, cause one thing I would love tosee that's from the books is that occasionally when Percy would talk to the gods and get sassy with them he would get a "vision" of what the gods truly are in like concepts. Like when he talks to Dionysus he sees a vision of grape vines, ppl being drunk and rowdy, etc. it adds that little extra bit showing that while the Gods may take human forms they still aren't humans and are tied to whatever they're the god of and shows how powerful they are and that all of them could cause serious problems for Percy if he crosses that line and really pisses them off
The big three that took down kronos is actually the big 6 , including demeter, hera , hestia (god of the hearth and home , basically god of the "cookout" , or eating thanksgiving at grandmas house , she gave prometheus the fire , he barely even stole it ) kronos also has another son , who isnt a god and i dont consider it a spoiler but ill only tell if asked lol
@@ManicMeeks oh shiza sorry I should've just said demeter hera and hestia deserve respect , I didn't spoil anything but I usually tell people not to do what I just did lol
I honestly feel bad for luke, his mom lost her mind, he lost thalia who he probably loved, he thinks his dad doesn't care about him, he's got ptsd. Other demigods like annabeth have been able to cope somehow, but camp needs to find a way to help them otherwise they'll become dangerous and dysfunctional like the gods or join kronos. I wonder if next season will become like game of thrones and we'll follow each member of the trio on their adventures until they meet again.
yeah and being the head of the hermes cabin he has to see kids who remain unclaimed which further his hatred for the Gods for abandoning their children then be their errand kids when they need something.
I love that they had Poseidon and Zeus speak Greek for a minute
