    Its interesting that you suggest windowpane patterns for larger men. I saw Hugh Jacomet of Sartorial Talks and Parisian Gentleman argue the opposite.

    Thanks for the video. I’m a little confused though. As a tall skinny guy should I wear big of small patterns? I’m 185 cams and 75 kg.

    Hey guys! I love your videos and I have been a long time viewer!
    I was wondering if you could develop a styling video for how to dress in extremely hot and humid climates. Not just for formal situations but casual as well. I live in Dubai where it easily touches 50 Celsius in the peak of summer with 80% average humidity. I feel a lot of your tips are for colder more agreeable climates like US and Europe. Your videos were very helpful for me when I lived in the US!

    • @nijikirainijinosei92
      @nijikirainijinosei92 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They have several videos on that topic, usually labeled as being about "summer" since that's our hot season in the US. Tbh I think most of their advice is the same, just shooting for less lining on jackets, more open weave fabric for both trousers and shirts, lighter fabrics for ties, incorporating more linen and seersucker and perhaps generally looser clothing. Summer is by far my least favorite season for wearing clothes because I don't yet have a collection of lighter weight clothing options, meaning I wear the same stuff but am just hotter. Also look into short sleeved polos, which can be worn with sport coats just like long sleeved polos while leaving your arms cooler. Best of luck!
      Edit: just saw that you lived here for a bit, so you're familiar with that. Still, I wish you well!

      Maybe take some pointers from the locals in the white robes. Just generally light-coloured and loose-fitting clothing is great to beat the heat.

    It is fascinating how much patterns and colors can change the perception of your appearance (e.g., in terms of proportion). However, if you desire to 'sculpt your body', consider adjusting your diet, your sleep patterns, and exercise habits. A fit gentleman always has more and better dressing options.

    You may have covered this body type in another video, but I’d be interested to know what patterns are good on men who are built like Chris Hemsworth, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dwayne Johnson, etc. whose drop between the shoulders and the hips is significant.
    It’s the muscular mesomorph athletic type of body, and it impacts someone who is short, average, or tall height equally.

    As a short gentleman who will be getting into the market world in a few years, I can relate to the shorty one. I usually use thin long patterns and luckily I don't like horizontal patters, so it's easy for me to go and buy a nice pice of clothing. When wearing a suit an important aspect that I check is the tie. What types of ties should I wear?

    I have a question about Pea Coats. I've asked before on the video about the Pea Coat but never got an answer. Maybe since this video is recent, I will. Is there a specific way Men vs Women button the Coat? I've always seen Men close it with the left side overlapping the right, and Women from the right. Or does it really matter? Thank you.

    • @gentlemansgazette
      @gentlemansgazette  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We answer that question in our piece on how to button jackets. In short men used to have their sword on the left and hence mens jackets are buttoned that way.

      Just to help you answer your question, your best bet would probably be going for custom made or made to measure suits. Its quite hard to find formal clothes that fit well off the rack, just because formal clothes tend to be form fitting for the 'perfect man'. in your situation, mtm is probably be better for you.

    This was one of Kyle's better videos. I was also about to say that is outfit was one of the best I have seen on him....but then I got to the lower half of his body (at the end of the video). The Jeans and Red Wings boots ruin the outfit as far as a classic menswear style goes. What a shame. A pair of darker brown trousers and a pair of lighter brown monk straps would have worked much better.
