Same here! Veronikiy, you're wonderful at explaining these complex techniques so they suddenly become doable. You've made the tansition to gouache way easier for me.
this was so satisfying to watch! thank you for your descriptions and explanations and tips throughout as well, i feel ive learnt so much from this😍 id definitely love for more videos explaining gouache and your processes!
Thanks! I have some gouache in the jars like yours that I've had forever because I'm intimidated by it! Normally I like watercolors but wanted to branch out a little.
Lovely Tutorial! I hope you don’t mind me asking but how do you dispose of the water after painting? I always find that a bit of hassle with any paint since I don’t want to pour it out /clean it in the sink due to the toxicity to the environment /animals. How do you deal with it?
Thank you! :) I personally think that gouache is one of the least toxic art mediums out there, since it doesn’t contain solvents. The pigments are another story - in some cases they can be quite harmful to the environment, but you can just avoid them by picking your tubes/colors separately. Then it shouldn’t be a problem to dispose of paint water in the sink at all :) I believe you can find a list of specific toxic pigments in google.
@@veronikiy Thank you for your reply! Thats so kind of you and That’s very interesting! I knew about dangerous pigments but I was more thinking of the other stuff. Some environment studies regarding art I’ve read says that regardless of which medium, they all contain the same pigments, and although most of this pigments isn’t dangerous to humans, they are dangerous to animals/water life and can for example damage their digestion systems. But I’m not sure if this only extends to water based acrylics or gouache as well. The only thing I now for sure applies to all water based mediums is that some can contain nonylphenol which is stored in the body and cause sterility, and therefore you shouldn’t pour it out in the sink. But I can’t find ANYWHERE if this applied to gouache specifically, if it’s even allowed to use as an ingredient in the eu. AND ingredients list are so hard to find! I feel like it’s a maze trying to find the correct information regarding a specific medium so by now I’m pretty confused, so thanks for such a clear answer :) appreciate it!
Loved it...could you change the angle of the camera from side to the top for better viewing.? Love your painting process. Please share more such content ! :). All the best
Omg! Yes, I need to touch upon my color composition skills. I've watched studies of light and shadow tips and the color wheel methods, but I just don't know how to apply them to my drawings.
