I was SO encouraged by this video. I've had some plastic cameos for years and thought they were so boring as is. I painted two of them last week with gilder's paste and alcohol ink, then added some acrylic paint and more alcohol ink. Wire wrapped one of them already, made a twisted wire neck choker and it was amazing. Thank you for so many great ideas, for constantly challenging us to experiment.
this is awesome.Ms Kate makes you look like your fairy height :) love her smile and can tell shes a real joy to have for a friend.Joined your creative group, winter slump here I need all the creative help I can get
That's so cool!! I've made cameos with polymer clay and molds before... and only painted the background. I knew it needed more detail but I didn't know how to do it. Thanks so much for this!! :)
I am new to this could you please tell you painted over the black and how much it is please. Look forward to your reply. Many thanks and happy crafting because I love you work.
Do you have a tutorial that actually shows how to make the two tone cameos? I have all these molds and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get mine like yours. Like your fairy is white and the oval is black. Is that all just polymer or fimo clay and you just press in the one color in the detailed part and then press in the second color into the oval background part? I tried it with resin thinking it would be easier to pour liquid into the figure part but it goes everywhere lol. Any help would be appreciated so I don't have tons of useless cameo molds I can't use unless I make the whole thing one color and then try to paint the raised image which doesn't work so well either lol. Thanks! -Amy

Can I use polyacrylic to seal the cameo? Thank you so much for this video.
I actually just use the Krylon brand matte crystal spray and it works great.

That is what I'm trying to figure out too! Please let me know if you have figured it out by now!
We didn't make them. You buy them, they are made in resin and cost about a dollar. Very inexpensive. ;-)

Lolololol ahh love the rose
How do you affix the cameo onto the frame? Do you use regular glue, rubber cement, or something else?

It's a mixed media product used to color metal, plastic, resin, poly clay etc
