Taris - Star Wars Background Ambience (SWTOR Era)

- Taris is a post-apocalyptic swamp, abandoned but not forgotten by the greater galaxy for three centuries. Until recently, only overgrown ruins bore testimony to the thriving civilization that once dominated the surface - a civilization annihilated by the Sith Lord Darth Malak while seeking to eliminate the Jedi Knight Bastila Shan.
I can hear the metal of the skyscrapers cracking, describes very well what is Taris: a decaying world, dramatic and terrifying, thanks :)
Now, imagine IF.... we could actually go up in those skyscrapers and explore a little. That would have changed the entire game!
I know you posted this years ago - but there actually were plans to do so for some. Two sections of maps on Taris for Republic (at least) were in the beta with a mission involving going up skyscrapers (one being built and the other just an exploratory thing), even a Heroic and a Title awarded for completing it. But for reasons I'm not aware of they were walled off entirely when it was properly released.
You can still follow the paths of the Tarisian Dawn on the Republic side that goes straight into a wall. There's a Med Droid nearby and everything.

If I was wanting to make a new country, here is where i would do it. It's quiet, peaceful, rebuilt structures that need mantinence, but that's about it
When I played (and didn't utterly hate the community and Progenitor) I thought the Imperial side won on this planet. No way to tell, of course, the game mechanics paint a depressing galactic war where if it's not the people, it's the wildlife... But it makes sense. As soon as Supreme Chancellor Janarus is killed /removed from office, Saresh (until then Governor in Taris) replaces him... and without her leadership, Taris crumbles under Darth Gravus' efforts.

I have to ask tertiary7 How do you make these videos so well? are you someone who worked with George Lucas to make Star Wars, or do you just research the Star Wars Universe and it's planets so-oo much that you are able to make these? Really great videos by the way, keep up the awesome work!

The video was recorded in the last game that I've linked here, the MMORPG. The audio might have been _ripped_ from a game file rather than recorded in-game, but the video part itself was definitely recorded.

i was waiting this game and was so excited about it and when we get it i found quickly how boring is since i am coming from Wow and i love world pvp.I remember me and 2 of my friend were ambushing dumb horde in Stranglethorn and we beat the shit out of them.In Swtor for 2 years i made only 2 world pvp's and 1 of the pvp the guy was afk...I dont understand why they split the Rep and Imp zones so that we cant find each other.The epic adventure where you run around and scream IS ANYBODY THEREEEE?WHOOOOOO AMMMMMMM IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII?
Some planets you can find the imp or rep zone just not all of the planets but most of them yes.
