(English name is Darlie toothpaste. ) It's NOT meant to be racist! It's a compliment! The creator of it eons ago, was basically implying: if you use this toothpaste, it can make your teeth as nice & white as Africans 🤣.
The original brand name of this toothpaste was Darkie. It then changed to Darlie after it was perceived as racist. The black face and white smile remained unchanged.

FYI :One child policy in those days don't apply in the village . Nowadays, 3 children is the legal cap. However, raising 3 children can be expensive so many young families have small family.
