I just bought a DJI Neo. I don't think I would have bothered if I had known about all the BS regulations. I just want to play with my toy 🤣 but find that even my own back garden in Invercargill is a no-fly zone. So far I have only flown it round the inside of my house, is that legal ??%$#@
The biggest concentration of drones in NZ is in central Wellington., especially in and around the Beehive. Auckland is a close second, but these days you'll find bureaucrats everywhere, even poking their noses over farmers' fences lecturing them on how to farm.
There is no expectation of privacy in public. So safety is the only reason not to fly overhead of people in a public space.

yes
Thanks for putting this up! Will follow the rules as indicated.
So basically the same as Australia 🇦🇺
This video was very helpful, the airshare app worth it
Really disappointing video as it fails to lay down the RPV aka drone rules of NZ. Basically you can't fly without a licence.
Depending on the weight of the drone
Can u say weight
