I try to make it a conscious habit to look at my tires critically. I'm 84 and I still do a walk around my Honda CR-V, my F-150, and my motorhome. I also check that my shoe laces are tied (just bought new shoe laces today).
Good idea but I have seen new quality tires blow out after 50 miles!! Not retreads either brand new high quality brand name!! Also something I never do is drive beside a big truck! I see most people basically park beside a truck while driving on the road, they don't pass they just sit and drive beside them! I always speed up a bit to get clear away from a Big Rig!
@@mypronouniswtf5559 Same here. I've always loved those big rigs but I keep away from them on the road and never drive along in their blind spot. I won't stand near an elephant, hippo, rino, etc.
I drove commercial trucks for 37 years, many without power steering, i had a steer tire blow out while going into a corner, with power steering, i ended up in someone's front yard. Please dont drive next to trucks for long periods of time!
Took a defensive driving class not long ago, teacher said a lug nut came off of an eighteen wheeler, came through the windshield, killed the driver of the car.Teacher said do not ride beside these trucks,go by asap, truck drivers prefer cars stay out their way.
my father was raised during the great depredation in the state of Colorado he later drove trucks bottom dumps in Santa Cruz California autocar semi trucks one time my father was headed to work he noticed smoke plus a car was being dragged by the trailer a teacher was going to work was on a foggy morning sorry for any misspells or mistakes in spelling.
I drove big truck for many years & when a tire blows out it sounds like a shotgun going off and you get big chunks of the tire exploding everywhere. People need not to hang alongside trucks rolling down the road because you never know when a tire is going to blow and just may come through your windshield with deadly force..
I was passenger/helper in a big rig once on I-30 eastbound heading through Fort Worth, Texas when one of the trailer tires on another rig about 100 yards ahead of us blew out. Very audible gunshot noise and tire chunks went everywhere. Thankfully nobody was beside it or they probably would have taken damage.
The only steer-tire blowout I ever experienced was in 1977 with a "deuce-and-a-half", on the Autobahn, near Mannheim. I still don't have a clue as to how I held that thing in the road - I was 19 years old, and didn't know much, but I DID know how lucky I was that no one was hurt.
I lost a steer tire once on a day cab Five Star General around 65-70 MPH. It made a mess of the headlight bezel and Fender- Shame full given the rareness of those parts. I pay closer attention to steer tire quality now.
That's a TMC.. if anything that load is placed correctly and tied down so that even if the trailer goes rolling down a cliff, that load will still be secured to the trailer when it stops at the bottom. Source: This former TMC driver

As an international trucker for 48 years in Europe someone please explain to me why o why is that semi driver sitting in the middle lane, totally unprofessional but having been in the states many times lane discipline is not your thing…
@@garygrandy9443 When driving a semi the last thing I want is people coming up on my inside while others are overtaking correctly on the outside, sadly nowadays many drivers get their license and are driving big rigs without experience…It’s the same in Europe, in Germany they did a study that found when trucking companies got rid of their long service drivers and replaced them with the cheaper drivers from Eastern Europe the accident levels went through the roof …Accidents involving big rigs often result in fatalities, the Police then objected to one large company renewing their operators license because of the fatal accidents resulting from these new hires…The company rehired many of the drivers they had fired…Safe driving with big rigs means the whole package, safety checks (vital) ignoring text messages until stopped using hands free phones but very limited, being properly rested and alert, keeping a minimum level of fitness in my case I always tried to fit in a five mile walk every day …Then on the road being aware of changing weather ice wind snow driving at safe distances and always using middle and outside lanes for overtaking, this got me though 48 years accident free , a couple of minor scapes involving minimal damage…
If it is around a city. With lots of cars getting on & off the freeway. You are better off in the middle lane. Faster cars can go around to the left. Some idiot car drivers slow down long before they get to the off ramp. Other idiot car drivers get on the freeway, going way to slow. In both cases, they are usually totaly oblivious of other cars & semis around them. Dangerous. If you stay in the middle lane. It is safer, and do not have to change lanes to the middle lane to avoid the idiots. Not to mention having to slow down. Many idiots getting on the freeway, produce a dangerous situation. Best to stay out of their way. US drivers are horrible drivers. Unlike in some European countries. No required driver training. Simple written test, driving test around the block. They have a license. The US spends a thousand times more money on sports in schools. Than they do on driver training. Because sports is far more important than people driving like shit & killing people. Killing people with a vehicle is totaly acceptable as long as the driver is not intoxicated. Makes no sense, yet that is how it is.

Any comment about what or where did this happen?
Thanks and stay safe.
Yes you can it happened near dayton ohio I believe
I didn’t see a steer let alone a cow!
That's a TMC.. if anything that load is placed correctly and tied down so that even if the trailer goes rolling down a cliff, that load will still be secured to the trailer when it stops at the bottom.

Depends on the state. In most places driving in the middle lane is ok.
