    Nice video sir, You have a great collection of filson bags. I have a filson medium duffle in otter green and a 48 hour duffle in tan tin cloth. They are great for travel. I believe they made the medium duffle just a bit smaller a few years back to conform to airline carry on specs. It’s current dimensions are an exact match to the maximums of most airlines. With the medium duffle and the 48hour duffle you can carry on all your luggage and have more than enough room for 2 weeks. I love their clothing as well. I own quite a few of their wool coats but my favorite item is their men’s trench coat.. I have one made in the US, with its wool liner I can be in any condition. I live in the mountains of central Oregon where this stuff was designed to work and it works well.

    the new mediums are smaller because they are made to fit as a carry-on these days.

      That is interesting because in the past, the small size were the carry on size. That is why filson made the medium travel bag, which is not distcontinue.

    I bought the journeyman on a trip to DC at one of their stores. I wore it one time. ONE TIME. I tried to return it immediately after because the straps did not fit comfortably for long-term wear. I'm a woman, I have no idea if that is part of the issue but the bag sags even when the straps are at their tightest and it's uncomfortable. I told Filson that I had worn the item. I was very clear about the situation. I sent the bag back. They sent it back to me saying it was not saleable because it was worn. Yeah I told them that. I contacted customer service again because I can't beleive that a $500 bag isn't returnable after 1 use. I was denied again. They say it's their 'policy'. WTF kinda policy is that? They don't care at all about customer satisfactions. So yes I have a very expensive, cool looking, uncomfotable bag that I can't travel with as planned. I will never spend money with them again.

      yes they are, that's why for the most part, i try to buy their classic items. I am not saying USA made are the best of the best but for authenticity, USA made should be priority.

    have you tried rewaxing your older stuff?

    • @mr.informal3669
      @mr.informal3669  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I have. I use otterwax because it is easier to apply then the oil tin. I use use a heat gun to make sure it bonds with the fabric. Oh and I only apply lightly because I do not want it to feel like wax canvas.
