  • When it comes to picking an e-Bike do you prefer full power with a large battery for maximum range/ride time, or an 'SL' which a little less power and a around half the battery range but a lot less overall weight which greatly improves the bikes handling... which would you pick? In this video we compare the two latest offerings from Specialized.

      Test rode the new SL, im.somebody that rides a full powered shimano as well as rode full powered bosch and brose, and my view is if i was going to buy another e bike it be an SL just alovely bike to ride more than enough power and way easier to ride past the limiter

    by the way you are right on the money on how the bigger levo bike just feels more stable. I rode a friend of mines Fuel Ex and it feels too much like my regular Revel Rascal. When I ride my rascal i ride it because i do not want the assist. When I ride the Levo thats what I am going for. Definitley the right fit for me

    Thanks, that's really helpful. I own that same model of full fat Levo you're reviewing and I'm tempted to add an SL when I can afford it - I mostly ride in eco so the power would be fine, but the range is a consideration for me.
    Also, I'd add that the stock fork is holding the Levo Comp carbon back. I upgraded to the 38 factory and it's made the bike night and day better!

    Nice review. I bought the Turbo Levo Comp Alloy. Awesome bike. I am not the best at going over logs and notice I hit from time to time. What is your thoughts on bash guards? I saw a couple on line. Just curious of your thoughts. Thanks man

    If we ride on regular bike trails.
    Levo SL for the Lazy, Normal Levo for the Lazier.
    Can we put that way? Without offending anyone.

    How does full turbo mode compare on the climbs given the weaker power of the SL?

    Fantastic review! Could you provide details about the size of the bike and also share your height? Thank you!

      I’m 5’8 (30” inseam) and I ride a s3 Levo. First spot on for me.

    But would you take the SL over the Levo if it had the same power and battery life as the current Levo? Maybe 2026? earlier?

    Does one just buy both bikes? Seemingly they both can be justified for the rider who dedicates himself to multiple rides per week, with year round weather permitting. (California). Sounds crazy but I am seeing this type of scenario out on the trail. Either one or two just make sure you ride enough to justify the price of one!~

      That’s exactly what I did. I own a Kenevo SL and a full power YT decoy. Here in California I ride all year long usually 2-3 times per week. Switch between bikes depending of terrain, mood, and how tired I feel from previous ride. My daughter rides with me some times so having two bikes made sense anyway. Not cheap but I do like having both an SL and a full power bike.

      I have the full turbo levo 2021. I live in Canada so I don’t ride in the winter I ski. After 1000 miles or 1600 km in very rough forest trails half of which I cut myself I can definitely say it is a beast that I have come to love. However, I’m gonna get the SL this spring to take to the more cross country dialled in trails where all the mountain bikers go. I have a nice giant trance that I use there now. But my grandson who is eight and rides a specialized rip rock pro appreciates it when I give him a tow to the longgrinding hills…

    Which is better? Levo SL vs Stumpjumper EVO?

    • @aaronburela432
      @aaronburela432 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ones an ebike and ones not, so it's hard to compare. Do you want an ebike or not? If you do then it's do I want a full power ebike like the turbo levo, or do I want a more light weight less power less range ebike. That's the levo SL. However if you just want a bike I own a stumpjumper evo it's an awesome bike!
