- I am familiar with their first album but not much else. This was very chill and very relaxing. It has a huge Led Zeppelin influence obviously but I think they make the sound their own. I would like to hear more from this album, I am intrigued.

They have a new album out on July 21. Listen to the album The Battle at Garden's Gate. Lots of great songs, The Weight of Dreams is epic, but several other songs you will enjoy. Definitely a step up from their early work.

Love GVF. I am obsessed. Only someone my age could understand what its like to hear this amazing band and instantly be transported to the 70's to hear NEW music.
I am definitely a child of the 70s and absolutely love this band. My Senior High homecoming song was Stairway to Heaven. 1975

Definitely go back and listen to the last album Battle at Gardens Gate, lots of great songs there. I’d recommend especially “Broken Bells”, “Tears of Rain”, “ Light my Love”, and “Age of Machine”.

The bass may sound different in different songs, depending on whether Sam is playing bass pedals on he organ, or using his bass guitar. They are all multi-intrumental, Danny (drummer) even plays French Horn!
French horn aye?? That's so awesome. I played trumpet and trombone in the marching band in middle school :) there must be some connection between brass and percussion we don't understand yet 🌟😂😂

There are two versions of this song and its clip. If you haven't listened to their album Battle at Heaven's Gate PLEASE listen to The Battle at Heaven's Gate. . It is not LZ. I am old enough to know all LZ . I do think they fit into 70s vibe. Watch Age of Machine if you want more drums from Danny. There is a video on here which is live from Red Rock stadiium. Split in three parts. Awesome.

'Like you said, the drums are very lost in the mix in this song. I feel it's because GVFs drummer is more focused on his "image" than anything else.

-GVF are little boys doing what their label tells them, so sad! (I do love the singer's voice but who ever is managing them is f**k'd up!)
They love film, theatre and literature. They want to create art and tell stories through their music, thus the costumes and creating worlds by mixing the fantasy vs reality. They have creative control.

As for the rest of your hatchet job, I take it you are not old enough to have lived through the early 70's glam rock era. If you are you should damn well know better. Bowie was the first one I remember shocking the world on TV by his several different out there guises and it didn't stop him making exceptional music, then followed most of the British bands of the early to mid 1970's . GVF are not doing anything as outlandish as that but do take their influences from that time so it would be foolish to think that they wouldnt ever use some makeup, they are not exactly Kiss however! Haters will always hate, it usually has most to do with their own short comings. But still the boys won't care, they are out there living their best lives,whilst you are sat on your a*se at home peddling spite through your keyboard. 😂😂

There is an interview out by Audacy and they asked who comes up with with the costumes, ideas, etc. The answer? “Yours truly!” They are in complete control of what they wear, the video concepts, all of it. If you don’t like it, move on. There is a whole lot of music out there.
Good reaction but you talked over two of the best vocal highs in the song and missed them both. Also, as a man in his 50’s this new GVF really doesn’t much sound like Led Zeppelin. I do agree with your takes on the drums and bass being too low in the mix.

Also, there really very little if any Led Zeppelin sound in their current stuff. They’re become their own sound now. Back when “ Highway Tune “ was buzzing, yes, VERY LED Zeppelin- ish. Now? Nah.
