Moats are always good. I start on my defenses right at the start. Crossbow men and archers first and then Mace men and swords men to deal with anyone who gets through.
Actually I find that it's pretty easy to rush Caliph and then the pig right after with some macemen and assassins (I'd recommend getting a siege tower for the pig). With those two gone the pressure is pretty lax and nizar is the only problem left. Saladdin survives a lot longer, giving you more time to boost your defenses and make a powerful economy, if you can manage to build a moat on nizar's side, that'd be great.
Good idea, in my playthrough I rushed the pig with monks. I also used only European troops because I like to challange my self. btw. If you search for a challenge you can also play without market
That was really helpful. Thank you so much! Only thing I did different was to build three towers with catapults on top towards caliph very early into the game and just have them fire all the time at his bonfire and base. That 's enough to keep him in check and pretty much take him out of the game from the start until you send some units to finish him.
i just beat this mission few days ago. My strat was to make 3 towers to the top left, top and right. Put 5 portable shields, 15 crossbowmen and tower balista on each tower. For economy i focused on crossbowmen production (9 fletchers and 6 tanners) and slightly on swordsmen (2 blacksmiths and 2 armourers. For basic production just do the usual wood, bread, beer, stone and iron. First stone and unused iron i sold to keep up hiring crossbowmen and swordsmen. Swordsmen I put near the towers so they can stop assassins. Around first waves of assassins you should have enough crossbowmen to just shred through them. What is annoying were some catapults so you have to sometimes micro the tower balistas there. If you get steady supply of taxes you can put more towers with ballistas to the top since there are the most forces incoming. When enenemies run out of the gold and you are nicely entrenched just horse archer the fuck out of the enemies.
dear Mr. Jefflenious, can you please explain the crowns and the stars that are always given at the end of the game? what is their meaning, and how do they represent the score exactly? I have always wondered about that 😬
The stars are lord kills. If you deal the final blow to a lord, you get a star. The crowns i think just represent the economic "king" in certain factors. If you produce the most, raise the most men, lose the fewest, best economy, most gold, ect ect.
I discovered a thing where you can make your lord go invisible if you spam the small area between the exit of the top of the keep and the top of the keep, I just used it to cheese a very hard mission with lots of archer spam.
💡 Easiest missions in Stronghold Crusader Probably pretty much just be Rat or Sultan 1v1 missions. I don't think it'd be just the first five missions of the trail tho. The second one I think vs Caliph can be annoying with all the slaves he sends, and he's so close, so it's definitely an early test of your abilities. And then not long after, the first Pig mission on the hill I think can be kinda hard for newer players. I think some of the easiest missions may be in the 10s-30s, cuz by then you should definitely know how to play the game, but some of the missions are surprisingly easy. You can build a good defensive position and a good economy, and take down the baddies at your leisure without ever losing a building.
my play Early: Adjust Speed to 20, train macemen 30-35 rush pig while doing that train another 40 macemen to rush Nizar at this point pig is defeated send back your macemen on pig to Wazir but not through Saladin just let them make a U turn through your castle and aim Wazir while making another 20 macemen for backup at this point u should have defeated Nizar then Use remaininh macemen from Nizar to Wazir. While rush Wazir build tower to harrash caliph. Mid game : build your economy Late : Kill the remaininh, Caliph, Emir then Saladin
What opinion do you have about Age of Empires 2? I would like to see a series about it here on this channel since I'm enjoying every video about stronghold crusader
Another great video, maybe you could consider using one of the characters' voices for a video instead of that one? Using AI voices, i'm sure that would sound really funny having the Marshall explain how to beat the game!
Some neat trick : if you place wallplaces that cant be stood on one by one, assasins cant climb them, if you circle your tower with these walls, they are perfectly save 2:00 are moats allowed on this map?
I didnt find this mission that hard, it was the only map that i could build a symmetrical nice large castle with a huge economy . I felt like wolf with my huge nicely built castle
I just put easily wood cutters in front of everyones gate and they destroyed everything outside the casstles so they run out of money quickly BTW this method i found out few months Ago after playing Stronghold for more than 10years
Quick question: How do you make it so that the portable shields will always follow the units you are attacking with? Or we have to give them orders separately? What I mean is whenever you order your horse archers to go anywhere, the portable shields follow them at the right position. How do you do that?
Yes! ive done all missions no market and its do able. More challenging and a lot of fun because u really need to change ure playing style and rely more on european troops.
We're almost there daddy Jeff! Anyway... Missing footage: Mission 74: Unholy Matrimony. Scenario: Player+Pig+Snake VS Wazir+Wazir+Nizar+Emir+Caliph, Deathmatch Game, AI Advantage. Instructions: Wall up. Use surrounding farmland to boom like a madman as you will need to buy anything that isn’t Wood, Food, or Ale related. Yes, that does mean you should clear out some, if not all of your allies’ Farms. If you ask me, it doesn’t matter if they survive or not. Click that Crossbow button in the Barracks until your index finger starts slightly hurting. You basically have five enemies, all spamming units towards your base, be it Slaves, Assassins, Horse Archers or Swordsmen. Once you feel comfortable enough to attack, make a horde. Horse Archers and 20-30 Catapults always, and I mean it, always, do the trick. Clear out one side of the map (ideally the west, less enemies there, also the Pig is more valuable than the Snake), build up Quarries in the newly liberated territory and proceed to boom even further making your steamroll of HA’s and Catapults even bigger and scarier. Proceed to roll southeast. Mission 75: Mirage with Reinforcements. Scenario: Player VS Nizar+Wazir, Deathmatch Game, Extra AI Advantage. Instructions: Remember mission 64 where you first encountered the Nizar? Repeat all you did. This time, however, Crossbows and Ballistae are your best friends because he has the Wazir covering his attacks with Horse Archers and Siege Engines galore. Otherwise, everything is more or less the same. Mission 76: Snaking Stream Rematch. Scenario: Player+Wolf VS Wazir+Nizar+Nizar+Nizar, Deathmatch Game, AI Advantage. Instructions: The name of the mission is misplaced with the next mission. This is a completely unique map with a completely unique enemy composition on this trail. What you need to do here is make Assassin Walls as quickly as possible and protect your starting location from the imminent horde of Assassins coming your way. Luckily you have enough resources in your base to safely boom behind your Great Wall of . Note that there is probably a spot where you could place a Tower to snipe any units attacking the Wolf towards the water to the north, as his attacks, while late, are quite useful. Proceed to clear enemies one by one. Mission 77: Wall of Death. Scenario: Player VS Emir+Emir+Emir, Normal Game, AI Advantage. Instructions: Look to the bottom of the mission select screen. You will see a chicken there. Click it. Instapass. Or use everything you've learned so far to make the best of the laughably little space you're given in this mission to slowpush the Emirs one by one (although maybe you could pressure the one closest early on just so you could get some breathing room. And Stone). Prepare your patience. You'll need it.
This is one of the only missions i found it helpful to build a moat since nobody on the map has an answer to it
Pig can deal with moat
@@impulsive6130 but he’s easy to stop
Moats are always good. I start on my defenses right at the start. Crossbow men and archers first and then Mace men and swords men to deal with anyone who gets through.
Yesterday I managed the mission with your help. Saladin survived till the end: He was waiting naked in his destroyed castle for my men.

one can rush the pig with around 30 assassins right at the start
Great video. One of my favorite missions!

Can you do a challenge of beating the final mission "The Big One" with only using mercenary units and engineers. No Barrack units at all.
What opinion do you have about Age of Empires 2? I would like to see a series about it here on this channel since I'm enjoying every video about stronghold crusader

Do you have a video showing how much efficiency you gain from a production building being against a wall?
Some neat trick : if you place wallplaces that cant be stood on one by one, assasins cant climb them, if you circle your tower with these walls, they are perfectly save

Do you only play SHC? Can you make tutorial for another stronghold series? Actually I want to beat all of them 😅
Yeah he mostly plays Stronghold Crusader. Earlier he did bunch of Stronghold 1 missions.
can you do full series of stronghold trails
can you do the campaings using only the troops and buildings from the demo of this game ?
Wow! Portable shield is powerful..
Quick question: How do you make it so that the portable shields will always follow the units you are attacking with? Or we have to give them orders separately? What I mean is whenever you order your horse archers to go anywhere, the portable shields follow them at the right position. How do you do that?
Set groups. Ctrl 1 = create group. Select group by Pressing 1. Same for 2-9. Make a separate shield and archer group. Place both on the same spot.
Lets build an online community for stronghold any method that will work?
Can you beat 6 wolves while being disadvantage in melos map like mission 80 ?
Please teach us castle setups
Bro You could try Stronghold Crusader 2 It's a good game too
what population should i stay
i died to saladin ):
Would a self imposed no market rule be feasible in beating all trials?
Yes! ive done all missions no market and its do able. More challenging and a lot of fun because u really need to change ure playing style and rely more on european troops.
No market and no engineers should be a really hard challenge, as shields save you a massive amount of gold/units
But did you save saladin before he died
If you rush the pig this mission is very easy
How can I download the game?
How to beat this misson alternatively:
just DIG MOATS across ur keep faster
"No 🐔 left" 🥲
Sweet :)
Hi bro
This mission was not that hard tho but it took me a long time to finish it tho🤣
focus pig first, and this map will be easy
*scoffs in Udwin*
I make catapults :)
its too easy playing like this with these forwards towers. its like spawn camping....
This mission for me wasn't hard. Din't even know that this is hard mission actualy... Misty River, there is hell...
Assassins are so annoying on this one.

We're almost there daddy Jeff! Anyway...
