- adidas Copa Pure review - in today's video, JayMike takes a closer look at the brand new adidas Copa Pure football boots in both laces and with laces to see if adidas have fixed many of the issues that plagued the previous model, the adidas Copa Sense football boots. These look nice and from the description I can SENSE they are way better than Copa sense. I bought them cause my friends recommended Copa sense but I immediately returned them after trying them on. They felt horrible
A lot better from the garbage they had with the copa sense and while the leather being a little less is a bit of a bummer but definitely an improvement. Definitely something I’ll consider in the future but think I’ll stick with my tiempo legend 9 elites,Mizuno morelia and Asics ds light x-fly 4.

I wish they put grip print on the lower outside of these, it reminds me of the grip element on the 2014 F50. It actually helps when playing in the rain in making them a bit grittier

Had the copa 19+ and were superb. Had to upgrade to the copa sense. And its felt more like a downgrade. Have just bought the copa pure+ for just over £100 on a sale. Cant wait to try them. ❤

Looks amazing in fg maybe best looking boot on the market, but I’m hesitant to try these. It’s almost like adidas can’t stay consistent with fit, weight, tooling and comfort recently. Opting for another pair of legend 9s. Awesome vid as always unisport

@@BATMAN-hk7sx I agree, the Legend 9 is my favorite silo. What scares me is that we are getting Legend 10 in 2023. Nike are going 50% K leather and 50% synthetic so I hope the Legend does not get ruined.
@@mikec5619 as long as the majority of the midfoot both lateral and medial is still covered in leather. Don’t think I’ll be complaining. The only things that will make me complain is if the leather is only on the fore foot and having an unnecessary amount of gimmicky tech. I’m all for tech to be there but if it’s over the top,think it’ll ruined it
The Legend 9 last one year and is expensive tho. I wonder if these will be as durable as a classic copa? 😂

I've recently purchased the Copa Pure.2 (or .3 I think), and WOW! The sense of comfort I felt upon trying them on was UNREAL. If they want to ditch K-leather that's fine by me, because I think that calfskin is 👍👍👍👍 I wore the boots during a 3 day long tournament a month ago, and I could see how cleaner my touches were when the ball was at my feet.
Also (and that was a nice unexpected SURPRISE BTW) was the good foot saves I made wearing these while standing in goal (ball hits the inside of the boot and bounces UP HIGH IN THE SKY).
The COPA PURE definitely out-competed my NIKE MERCURIAL pair that I've had for almost two years now.
Hello did you change sizes? I have an adidas x and want to buy copa pure should i go up a size or .5 or stay the same?
@@Goatchadbatman I did go up in size. Like, with the MERCURIAL I was wearing either 10.5 or 11 US and with the COPA Pure I went for 12. But hey, this happened after the salesman had measured my foot size using a scale.
So, I suggest you do the same when you buy your new boots.
One more thing to look out for is the thickness of the socks you're wearing, because the grip socks are thicker than regular socks, which means that if you're trying on the boots with regulars, you should go for a size where they'd feel a little wide so that they feel just right with the grip socks. Hope this explanation helps.

It looks like an F-50, Speedflow, and Copa sense mixed into one. I haven’t been a fan of adidas over the past few years, but I like these boots🔥💯
That’s not a bad comparison. They’re definitely on the sleeker, thinner side but it’s a nice, modern fit!
I have the old 2014 Adidas f10 but definitely need new boots
went to my local shop today set on tiempo legend elite 9’s after a few wks of research. i’ve always worn leather boots and i’ve been wearing legend 6’s for years. tried the copa pure’s on just for fun and ended up loving the feel more so than the tiempos. the new tiempos make u feel so distant from the ball due to all the padding and it took away from the leather experience for me. meanwhile, the copa pure’s gave you the leather feel but in a sleekness and responsiveness that felt just right. only conplaint is how tight the toe box is to start but being leather, im sure they’ll soften and stretch fairly soon.
Is the copa pure durable?

Adidas are seriously lacking behind the completion in both speed boots and leather boots. Had a masterpiece with the speedflow and they didn’t capitalise on it. I don’t remember the last time I’d pick a copa boot over a tiempo.
To be fair this is a very solid leather boot. It's a little more streamlined than Tiempo, but it's got a very modern feel to it with that comfort and hint of elegance from leather. Agree on everything regarding X Speedportal though. /Jay
Controversial opinion to some while I do think the copa pure will be good but honestly the last really genuinely good leather boots is the adipure 11pro3. For me that’s really the last genuinely good leather boots which is a good mix of modern tech and traditional approach.
@@chanchaniceman the 11pros were decent, but even those didn’t have the best leather. They used calf leather like these are using, albeit a little thicker from the looks of it. I still have two pairs, both in the Kroos colorway. One for use and one more collecting. The boot is solid and the leather is soft, but it’s not the best or something everyone needs to try out. The last good actual leather boot they put out was the 19.1 and 20.1. Those offer a similar feel to the 11pro. The adipure IV was also fantastic, that upper and stud configuration was top notch.
@@patitoduck123 although the 11pro3 is a completely different from the 11pro 1 and 2(aka the Toni Kroos boots) granted I don’t think it’s the greatest leather when you compared to the earlier adipure but I’m saying as in tech wise,amount of leather and recent history/memory as well as what I wore. The copa 19.1 and 20.1 just didn’t fit me especially in the midfoot well to my liking and the burrito style tongue has never fitted me well at all.

Ummm everything discussed here has been permanent. The F50 Adizero was permanent just like the Predator. Both were big permanent lines during the 2010 WC.

Im a big fan of you guys. But my thought is that, when most of the boots releases, including the previous copa sense where the brands try some controversial and inventive things, people including myself, you and sr4u say that sometimes brands need to take a step back and just put out what ‘works’ but now that adidas did exactly that, you say its a bit boring and bland. Are we as consumers being too picky at this point
We can be picky given what we used it love and nostalgia plays a major part which is only a thing a boot enthusiast or boot nerd will understand. I think what you and they meant by is having a bit of a middle ground where it isn’t overly simplify but not to the point where it’s overly complicated. Best examples of overly complicated were the tiempo legend 8 and copa sense. The former in its own right is a great pair of boots that I will admit do love it and a pair I still had in rotation once in awhile but the flyknit tunnel and quadfit takes away the purity of the leather when the package they already had was great. The copa sense for example takes the route where the idea is great but execution is just horrible where you have a lot of unnecessary gimmicks. On boots like the premier,lotto stadio,Diadora brasil,tiempo and the modern copa,I do like it when it’s supposedly“boring and bland” cuz it truly what makes these boots special but that’s just me given I mostly prefer a near full leather upper boots.
Another thing I would like to add is a little bit of tech added is fine and we saw with the tiempo legend 6 and 7 along with the adipure 11pro3. But I say it’s for the brands to not messed up an already working formula for the sake of wow factor.
We’re 100% too picky and the market is just overloaded with quality. My point with saying that it’s bland is that I think it’s a shame that such a solid boot might not get the recognition it deserves because it’s not slime green with sparkles and shooting stars on - and thus, a lot of people might look past it meaning that they’ll actually miss out on a great product.
I think adidas did the right thing here. Time will tell if moving away from k-leather was the right move, but from a fit and performance POV I genuinely don’t think it hurts the boot as the calf leather IS of very high quality. /Jay

From say it’s mostly to cater towards the Californian market given Kangaroos leather products are not allowed. Even with a K-leather upper and I do think they’re solid but honestly wouldn’t choose them over any generations of the tiempos anyday

Sick looking boots! Hey Jay Mike, I have this problem of shooting with my boots. I shoot way better without my boots on. I have wide feet and I use the Copa Senses .3 Great boot! But my boot has ruined my shooting. Even if I go barefoot, I shoot way better. Please give like a video or recommendation. I tried some wide boots before. But all seem to ruin my shooting.
