its unlikely that at the place this SCP is housed inuniverse there would be a breach every other week, I would be suprised if there was one over a period of several months considering its likely this SCP is kept at a facility with mosly other safe/euclids seeing as its not very dangerous and as such it would be housed somewhere far away from the really dangerous things the foundation has locked away which are usually the things that cause containment breaches in the first place

ok honestly this scp is amazing, I love the ones that arent inherently evil, especially how her only more violent actions were attacking (or killing, not sure) an abusive partner, and scaring Dr. Garden, with, in my opinion, no intention to actually harm her. That, and I feel like the personalities of SCP-3887-A and Dr. Garden were really well done.
And that's the thing, she doesn't harm Dr. Garden at all. All the bruises and bumps and wetness were self-inflicted accidents; Grenda just sat there noshing on that good fear.

clay opold This has been my biggest critique of Volgun lately. It has really removed a lot of the immersion. More so in the first few that he used 3d models for, so he is improving I’ll give him that at least.

And if I see a professional dream works 3d model it still won't look as good as a grainy blurry photo taken from like behind some trees. Like the volgan is amazing with his 3d software but he can't practically get good enough to make a 3d model by itself look scary in the scp type of way.

It's the star wars rule, the dirty you make something look the realer it feels,. So I would say he should get into photoshop and do this. But ik photoshoping a scary realist picture is way way easier than 3d modeling.
I love these light hearted yet dark stories. An evil scp by nature that doesnt want to be evil. Its obvious grenda just needed to scare the poor doctor. Its sad that it made her feel so bad. Not that garden deserved it. They could figure a solid solution im sure.
From what I can tell this SCP feeds of negative emotions reflected at one's self, stored in personal effects belonging to the host. If the host is in a relatively calm and stress free environment, the scp suffers from lack of viable food. From what I can tell this scp can feed of any individual and only remains with the girl as a result of a personal relationship. A viable solution would be to see if the SCP would accept socks from D class personal, specifically those who have just completed testing with Euclid and above SCPs with very aggressive natures. It could also be useful to allow information about Keter SCPs known to kill D class involved in experiments to be allowed to circulate, in order to instill fear in D-class that are told they will be testing with them. This would result in large amounts of quality food to be produced weather or not the D-class has been to the SCP or not. One method i would use would be to inform a D-class that they will be brutally experimented on by SCP-049 in three days. After three days gather the D-Class socks and then administer amnestics leaving him stuck in a perpetual state of terror.
I want a kind under the bed monster. I have plenty of anxiety and fear from my PTSD to more than sustain one. I currently have a foam wedge pillow and a blanket under there for storage. I could definitely work out a more comfortable arrangement if an entity of this variety would like to tell me what they find comfortable. I also have a pull out couch loveseat, I could have that setup if they’d like. Like please! Kind monster friend that consumes my fears and socks. Like does it snuggle too? I appreciate that this article uses scientific name (common name). So often the authors will just shove in the scientific name and force you to google what the hell they're talking about. It's not too bad when it's a one time thing, but some go overboard and it just makes reading the article a pain in the ass. This is a perfectly reasonable way to have immersion and be considerate of the reader.

things we know: -their appearance changes depending on the fears of the partner -can consume emotions/state of minds of the partner what i am desperate to know: -can they only eat bad emotions? (stress, anxiety, etc) -how would their appearance be affected by more conceptual fears, not of objects? (the dark, deafness, etc) -do they care if the socks are clean?
I think the socks are preferred because fear causes humans to sweat and socks are basically concentrated with sweat. So therefore she sucks the sweat out of the socks and gets the fear out of it. Pretty gross but it reminds me of the way cats will rub their heads in people's shoes because of the concentrated scent.

I find it quite annoying that the Foundation (in and out of universe) insists on only referring to human(oid) anomalies by their scp designation. It's very clunky and unwieldy and it's pretty much guaranteed to provoke hostility and uncooperation from the anomaly. I get that staff are sposed to treat human(oid) scps as non-human objects but it doesn't really work and this particular scip is a good example. She's not even anomalous herself, she has a non-human anomalous entity attached to her so it's really unfair to treat her like a thing rather than a person. I also think it's unlikely that the majority of the staff could so easily dehumanise these anomalies, most of us have compassion and empathy for the suffering of others.
I don’t know why, but for some reason it really bothers me that none of the Foundation staff were allowed to refer to SCP 3887-A or B by name. I think it’s because, in this article, a lot of the characters seemed genuinely nice and empathetic unlike most of the very cold doctors we typically read about in articles and interview logs, and it would’ve just been more natural for them to talk using names? Idk
Referring to human SCPs by name is generally considered a big nono when writing and is even overtly mentioned in the site's advice for writing an SCP. A large draw to SCP as opposed to any other creepypasta field is the cold, calculating nature of the Foundation. An SCP is an SCP, human or otherwise. She is not a person, she is a subject. That being said, I get where you're coming from in the case of this article. The author doesn't really translate the intellectual tone of the Foundation which leads to an unclear researcher-subject relationship. tl,dr: Researchers being on a first-name basis with an SCP is considered bad style. This article portrayed personell as very casual, which explains the disconnect.
Yes, in science, in general using casual names is not really considered good form. You don't say "vinegar" you say "acetic acid." It's more precise and helps avoid confusion. Remember they aren't meant to be read aloud, your brain doesn't read them like that. As soon as you start getting casual it gets messy from a research standpoint. Like for instance, by calling the girl "A" and the monster "B" you establish that they are in decending order. The SCP is the overall existence of monsters under the bed, the girl is who summons this instance of the phenomena, and the monster is what is summoned.
Not a huge fan of this SCP... I think something about the way both the file and dialogue are written seems off. The file lacks the Foundation's distant intellectual tone in several places and the exchanges during the interviews come off to me as rather heavy-handed and out of character for foundation personnel. Additionally, 3887-A's voice acting definitely helped to take me out of it. Regardless, good video! I'm so glad to see you back!!

That's a little too far and should only be done for very certain and special SCPs

ok honestly this scp is amazing, I love the ones that arent inherently evil, especially how her only more violent actions were attacking (or killing, not sure) an abusive partner, and scaring Dr. Garden, with, in my opinion, no intention to actually harm her. That, and I feel like the personalities of SCP-3887-A and Dr. Garden were really well done.
And that's the thing, she doesn't harm Dr. Garden at all. All the bruises and bumps and wetness were self-inflicted accidents; Grenda just sat there noshing on that good fear.

clay opold This has been my biggest critique of Volgun lately. It has really removed a lot of the immersion. More so in the first few that he used 3d models for, so he is improving I’ll give him that at least.

And if I see a professional dream works 3d model it still won't look as good as a grainy blurry photo taken from like behind some trees. Like the volgan is amazing with his 3d software but he can't practically get good enough to make a 3d model by itself look scary in the scp type of way.

It's the star wars rule, the dirty you make something look the realer it feels,. So I would say he should get into photoshop and do this. But ik photoshoping a scary realist picture is way way easier than 3d modeling.

I love these light hearted yet dark stories. An evil scp by nature that doesnt want to be evil. Its obvious grenda just needed to scare the poor doctor. Its sad that it made her feel so bad. Not that garden deserved it. They could figure a solid solution im sure.

From what I can tell this SCP feeds of negative emotions reflected at one's self, stored in personal effects belonging to the host. If the host is in a relatively calm and stress free environment, the scp suffers from lack of viable food. From what I can tell this scp can feed of any individual and only remains with the girl as a result of a personal relationship. A viable solution would be to see if the SCP would accept socks from D class personal, specifically those who have just completed testing with Euclid and above SCPs with very aggressive natures. It could also be useful to allow information about Keter SCPs known to kill D class involved in experiments to be allowed to circulate, in order to instill fear in D-class that are told they will be testing with them. This would result in large amounts of quality food to be produced weather or not the D-class has been to the SCP or not. One method i would use would be to inform a D-class that they will be brutally experimented on by SCP-049 in three days. After three days gather the D-Class socks and then administer amnestics leaving him stuck in a perpetual state of terror.
Or just let her legit torture some d-class....

I want a kind under the bed monster. I have plenty of anxiety and fear from my PTSD to more than sustain one. I currently have a foam wedge pillow and a blanket under there for storage. I could definitely work out a more comfortable arrangement if an entity of this variety would like to tell me what they find comfortable. I also have a pull out couch loveseat, I could have that setup if they’d like. Like please! Kind monster friend that consumes my fears and socks. Like does it snuggle too? I know the horns could be problematic for snuggles but I could crochet some nice soft covers for them. If the entity has a color or pattern input I’d gladly use that. Is there anything else I could do to lure one to me. Please come!

I appreciate that this article uses scientific name (common name). So often the authors will just shove in the scientific name and force you to google what the hell they're talking about. It's not too bad when it's a one time thing, but some go overboard and it just makes reading the article a pain in the ass. This is a perfectly reasonable way to have immersion and be considerate of the reader.

I think the socks are preferred because fear causes humans to sweat and socks are basically concentrated with sweat. So therefore she sucks the sweat out of the socks and gets the fear out of it. Pretty gross but it reminds me of the way cats will rub their heads in people's shoes because of the concentrated scent.

I find it quite annoying that the Foundation (in and out of universe) insists on only referring to human(oid) anomalies by their scp designation. It's very clunky and unwieldy and it's pretty much guaranteed to provoke hostility and uncooperation from the anomaly. I get that staff are sposed to treat human(oid) scps as non-human objects but it doesn't really work and this particular scip is a good example. She's not even anomalous herself, she has a non-human anomalous entity attached to her so it's really unfair to treat her like a thing rather than a person. I also think it's unlikely that the majority of the staff could so easily dehumanise these anomalies, most of us have compassion and empathy for the suffering of others.
I don’t know why, but for some reason it really bothers me that none of the Foundation staff were allowed to refer to SCP 3887-A or B by name. I think it’s because, in this article, a lot of the characters seemed genuinely nice and empathetic unlike most of the very cold doctors we typically read about in articles and interview logs, and it would’ve just been more natural for them to talk using names? Idk
Referring to human SCPs by name is generally considered a big nono when writing and is even overtly mentioned in the site's advice for writing an SCP. A large draw to SCP as opposed to any other creepypasta field is the cold, calculating nature of the Foundation. An SCP is an SCP, human or otherwise. She is not a person, she is a subject.
That being said, I get where you're coming from in the case of this article. The author doesn't really translate the intellectual tone of the Foundation which leads to an unclear researcher-subject relationship.
tl,dr: Researchers being on a first-name basis with an SCP is considered bad style. This article portrayed personell as very casual, which explains the disconnect.
Yes, in science, in general using casual names is not really considered good form. You don't say "vinegar" you say "acetic acid." It's more precise and helps avoid confusion. Remember they aren't meant to be read aloud, your brain doesn't read them like that. As soon as you start getting casual it gets messy from a research standpoint. Like for instance, by calling the girl "A" and the monster "B" you establish that they are in decending order. The SCP is the overall existence of monsters under the bed, the girl is who summons this instance of the phenomena, and the monster is what is summoned.
Nice and empathetic is not allowed in anything related to the SCP foundation... unless it has something to do with SCP-999.
Not a huge fan of this SCP... I think something about the way both the file and dialogue are written seems off. The file lacks the Foundation's distant intellectual tone in several places and the exchanges during the interviews come off to me as rather heavy-handed and out of character for foundation personnel. Additionally, 3887-A's voice acting definitely helped to take me out of it.
