Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3994 is currently being held onsite at Site-92. The doors to SCP-3994's containment chambers must be pressurized as to prevent instances from maneuvering through gaps between the door and its frame.
Description: SCP-3994 is the collective designation for a cluster of extraterrestrial entities, currently consisting of SCP-3994-A-1 through SCP-3994-C-██. Instances of SCP-3994 have been grouped into categories A, B, or C based upon degree of shell decay, with A having no signs of shell decay, B having any amount of shell decay but with a retained shell, and C lacking any shell.
SCP-3994 develops and inhabits outer skins (henceforth referred to as 'shells') that resemble human beings. SCP-3994 will favor mimicking the appearance of a preexisting individual in its immediate vicinity if it lacks a shell; if no human is present, shell formation will occur regardless. These shells are assumed to act as disguises to hide the inner form of SCP-3994, but often fail to perform as intended; 68% of attempts by SCP-3994 to form humanoid shells have resulted in various deformities, including but not limited to twisted appendages, severe malformation resembling elephantiasis, disproportionate skeletal structure, and ██████████.

Hello! - I know there isn't much to look at in this one. It was certainly a challenge to create "monitisable" artwork for this video. All the art I created for it just looked bad - so i decided to use Male face by "Tom Hodes" - www.artstation.com/artwork/wbNmV as that was what i wanted to create ... a human face that just looked slightly "off". I promise i'll get better at adding better visuals in the future. What sent shivers down my spine was the fact that they didn't even bother to remember my dude went on vacation.

@@gbdornls Until containment is not a practical possibility. SCPs have been used against other SCPs in order to neutralize or contain high risk threats in the past. Besides a memetic kill agent is unlikely to wipe them out entirely given access to one mind from another seems to require it to be willed from one end. Which is why I suggested a slow burn. One that gets worse over time without treatment. Given the organizations history with memetics the SCP foundation would be one of very few groups that could be turned to that would not kill/mutate/enslave them on contact.
Hell a kill agent may not even be necessary, which is also why I suggested memetics like "This is a Miror. You are a typo." Just something that outs them as a cohesive group would be enough.
However given the apparent hostility and sheer impossibility of containment it would be my recommendation to neutralize this SCP entirely. Prolonged containment is not feasible, and unlike many other SCP death does not pass these entities over. Besides, elimination of SCP entities is common place across hundreds of SCPs. What is one more?

Personal half baked theory for SCP universe. Humans are extinct and planet Earth is a cold war style battle ground between various imposter/perception altering SCP instances, and they all think they are preying on humans but in fact they are competing for global domination with other SCPs. This would be a great addition to SCP Secret Laboratory. Imagine all the fun we would have if an scp secretly becomes one scientist and then we find out he actually is a scp.
One way is to maybe have the Secret SCP's mic intentionally glitched out or something, idk, just something to differentiate the real from the Shells, or maybe have the shells go away after a minute

Either, one, the writer forgot, or two, and instance of scp-3994 can become independent from the rest of the group and "Koffman" was an instance that was undiscovered from the very beginning he copied Koffman and learned enough to be a practically perfect copy, or maybe he's communicating with the ones outside the facility instead of inside.

Looks like they have outsmarted Foundation and only play dumb. Some of them had evolved enough to actually adapt.

i like that the SCP just comes out and says what we’re all thinking at the end. the whole time i was like, “they’re gonna realize you’re tricking them eventually, and then they’ll learn all they can about the foundation.” but it seems like the SCP is well aware of that already.
I really like this SCP, i love the implication of the SCP being way more intelligent than the Foundation assumed it to be, they're so used of being in control that the moment a new entity shows to be pretty easy to identify and secure, they lower their guard, completely ignoring the fact that they are the ones that are being played with.
Like, imagine if the hive mind actually makes some of it's members act more unnatural just so they can be captured on purpose?
Making the foundation create protocols and containment methods around these inferior instances just so they can feel in control, giving them an easy to contain anomaly, ignoring the possibility that maybe the most advanced members of the hive mind are out there, completely safe from their grasp, and while they're still out there we can adapt, learn and blend, making their attempts of tricking them useless?
It must be rather entretaining from the collective's perspective to see all this happen, i think

What makes this one extremely hilarious is that they don't seem to be overtly hostile. They don't necessarily have to kill the person they copy, in fact they only ever killed at all when trying to breach containment.
