- Welcome to my tutorial showing how I use my Cricut JOY to cut some iron on and use my Cricut mini easypress to attach it to pencil pouches. In this tutorial I use smart iron-on - by the way I'm loving the ease of smart materials with no more mats!! If you haven't tried iron on before I hope this tutorial inspires you to give it a go and have fun with your Cricut!
I'm so happy to share my Joy with you!

I just received my Joy yesterday and this video popped up today. Thanks. I appreciate how well you explained the process.
Thank you. I am a newbie and just got the cricut joy
Thank you very much, I've gotten my circuit joy about a month ago and I was completely lost on how to use it, I'm going to try it immediately!!!
I love it!! Woohoo!!
You are amazing. Thanks for the tutorial!
Great tutorial. Love the background on your phone.
Thanks so much this is the first tutorial I’ve seen using the phone. Which is what I’ll have to do when my cricut joy arrives
Have fun with your Joy. I use mine a lot as it sits handy in my craft space and is so easy to use with my phone.
This was a great tutorial. Thank you!

Great video!
A very well done, precise tutorial
Thanks so much Nancy, I really appreciate you!
I have both the machines they are amazing I got the easy press mini yesterday but I got the joy last Christmas 2020 ( I already have the easypress 2 9x9 inch.) just saying.
Thank you for your video! For matte black, do you load in the machine with shiny side up?
Thank you. Can you make a video on how to make budget planners? I just got the Cricut and I don’t know what I’m doing lol
Fantastic tutorial I love your clear explaining! Gives my confidence to use my joy I just purchased! A quick question, when you said you could tape it down to iron, what type of tape would you use? Thank you 😊
Great tutorial, can you use just a regular iron for transfers?
Thanks for this it is super helpful!! Have you ever used an iron/pilllowcase in place of the press?
Thanks for watching. I haven't used my iron but I know others have. An iron doesn't heat as evenly as a press but it should be possible if you're careful. Probably I would tape the edges of the iron-on design to the surface so it doesn't slip and use baking/parchment paper between the iron-on and the iron itself. It might take some experimenting to work out your iron setting but I would recommend using it on dry (not steam) and starting with a medium heat. I would try with some offcuts of iron-on and some scrap fabric. Have fun!
Great Tutorial, thank you. do you have a tutorial where you used the permanent vinyl on a pouch?
Thanks for watching. I don't have a tutorial but I can do that. I think in the long run with fabric pouches iron on is much more durable however with vinyl pouches I've had no problem with the adhesive vinyl I've applied to them.
Great tutorial! Do you know if you can use iron ons from different brands with the joy?
Hi, I haven't but the Joy comes with mats that you can put the vinyl on so you can use whatever vinyl you like. Smart vinyl is just easier as you don't need a mat but anything you can put on a cricut mat on your bigger machine you can put on the Joy mat too :)
can a house iron be used at all to iron onto fabric?
Hi. I watched one of your old videos on making travel journal covers.
I don't have cricut but I use "sizzix" vinyl cutter. Basically, it uses the same files.
Since I cannot download from cricut, do you have the measurements of the 3 cover sizes? If so, can you share the project with me that way?
Thank you for the video.🤗
Can you do glitter with this?
Love this!
Can this be layered with other smart iron on colors? I’m doing a shadow for the text. Thanks
The Cricut website said you cannot put it on the holographic but you can put holographic on the every day.
@@craftypup508 Thank you😊
Do you have a video using the smart iron on glitter?? I'm a beginner and I can't figure out how to use it properly
Hi that was nice lesson thank you 🙏me I ask how could we change the language in the text in to Arabic?
I can’t get my smart vinyl to work on canvas using the Mini press any tips???
ICan’t get my smart iron on vinyl to adhere to my canvas bag is in the mini press do you have any tips please
I just purchased my cricut joy and feel intimidated.
I don't know what to make or how to use a nice font. It's overwhelming on your first project
I.am also.not really sure how to measure.
Do I need to put my design in the top left hand corner?
I tried it on a camouflage jacket and it didn’t work 😞
Are you able to share where you purchase the pouches
Hi, these pouches are both from Simply Gilded monthly subscription kits. I have sooooo many pouches from various subscription kits but you can buy cute pouches lots of places, even Kmart and then personalise them using a Cricut.
How can use your own design
Hi, you can iron on your own design by creating your own design in design space to cut from the iron on. The options are endless!
Today I’m going out to get the Joy
Yes!! I hope you are enjoying using Joy. It's so handy having a little machine on my craft space to quickly make things. I reach for this machine the most and I hope you're using it and having fun :)
The Cricut Joy site specifically says it automatically mirrors the image when a heat transfer item is selected in the Joy app. I know this video is a little old, so I’m wondering if this is accurate on their part. Thanks!

Why is it not working!!😢
