After the madness that is the opening track you would expect anything that comes afterwards to feel kinda underwhelming, but it doesn't. Instead of going heavier they made the choice to close of the EP with an epic, melodious crescendo of a track. It kinda reminds me of Behemoth's O father O satan O sun in that way. A roller coaster of brutality and epicness.
Love how To The Hellfire video utilized Fire, Ash, and Darkness - This video utilizing similar elements but features more nature and water. Creating a distinctly familiar but drastically different aesthetic.
I’m 41 and have listened to heavy metal for 30yrs and I got a question for other metal heads, why worry about what sub genres LS is in and just enjoy this brilliant heavy metal masterpiece.
This is a very important EP for the scene in my opinion. I was listening to a lot of Metal with my father since I was born - Children Of Bodom, Cradle Of Filth, Behemoth but also lighter power metal like Hammerfall and a ton of others, and then I deviated to Core, Deathcore, Metalcore in my teenage years. I Hear all the influences and it really brings tears of joy to my eyes. Lorna Shore with this EP might single-handedly bring all-important metal heritage into the new era for thousands of younger a new listeners. Outstanding musicianship, every member of this band. That Key change is just ecstasy.
Never been a fan of deathcore, but damn Lorna Shore is something else. You can appreciate the many musical influences and the band is spot on how they incorporate them. Will Ramos vocals are incredible. I am a big black and death metal fan and I am still trying to find a good comparison, but hell maybe Will is just a category on its on. Hope he takes good care of his vocal cords. Amazing job to the band.
I love all metal and Deathcore seems to be the least creative of all the sub genres but when you find a gem like Lorna Shore it's mind blowing. Make Them Suffer is another one I really like.
@@jsmokem1276 Checkout "The Boy Will Drown" they're known being a technical deathcore band but they're like if Brain Drill had the jamey jasta of Hatebreed on vocals, specially their album "Fetish", fantastic band.
@@jsmokem1276 I understand completely. I think "deathcore" just follows a set formula that works and many just follow it, which makes it in a way "least creative", but I think this happens in all genres and sub-genres of metal. Again pretty sure there are some good "deathcore" bands, not meant to disrespect people that enjoy it. But Lorna Shore, I am conflicted if this is just "deathcore".
Even if for some reason, this will be the last song we ever hear from this lineup, we can all rest assured that for one moment in human history, something came as close to perfection as humanly possible.
This felt a lot slower than To The Hellfire and that's perfectly fine. I was in complete awe during the entire song and the guitar solo felt extremely powerful. I love the direction that Lorna Shore has gone and can't wait for more tasty jams! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK FELLAS!
Their new singer is absolutely amazing. Never heard of these guys until I heard their song into the hellfire on liquid metal. Now they're slowly rising to become my top 5 favorite deathcore bands
To The Hellfire is getting all the attention, for good reason it is a good song, but I think this is the song everyone that likes deathcore should be talking about. Can't wait for some more Lorna Shore with Ramos up front.
Lorna Shore and Shadow of Intent are really leading the way for symphonic deathcore It would be nice if Winds of Plague brought back their Decimate the Weak sound too
@@blackstripesremedioscastro680 Hell no, man. They're brutal symphonic death metal, but they still have a bit of their deathcore sound in them as well.

"Breathe life into the ashes". What a perfect way to describe how this band is not only rebounding from their setbacks, but outdoing their former selves. Congrats on the EP dudes, it's going to be on heavy rotation!
When you think of all the things that comprise good metal, this song has it all. From the blazing fast drumming and harmonic guitar riffs / solo to the screeching growls / vocals and the cinematic Oprah chorus, this is one of the most beautiful and technical pieces of metal I've heard in a long time.
God, why? WHY!? Just why most of people can't feel that songs, and their atmosphere, those riffs, drum lines and other stuff are most impressive things in music I've ever seen. And the feeling in the moment when you listening to this masterpiece is indescribable, i really hope Lorna will become one of the most famous metal bands EVER, i guess Lorna Shore and same bands are the goal of music, i really didn't hear nothing better than that. I really wish deathcore will wake up and will show the world the real power. Nothing from pop, rap, and other really famous ganres just can not be as impressive how these band is. Thank you Lorna Shore! Your misic will breath until the light exists.
The vocals and instrumentals in the chorus create such a beautiful sense of melody, and Will Ramos' acting/performance in this video just drives it home. So so amazingly well done.

@@joaco1661 is it not? when there is a heavy black metal influence on another primary genre it is usually called blackened, like Behemoth is blackened death metal, i know sub genres are getting crazy nowadays, but would you not say this is heavily influenced by symphonic black metal?

@@danielputzlacher9047 I like both bands, especially Brand of Sacrifice. Lorna Shore just hits me a different way lol. Both are definitely also amazing though.
I am a 47 year old grown metalhead and have to live with a terrible curse, to love something so passionately and not be able to listen, share, discuss, and celebrate such a phenomenal band with friends and the every day people I am around. @@dark___passenger7446 Hello Quincy. What could be ever better than to argue about opinions about music. You have yours, I have mine. I think our discussion won't change or bend either one.
I've been listening to metal and death since the early 90's:. There was a period in from 2010 to 2020 when I didn't discover much new music, everything sounded rehashed or bland. I discovered Lorha Shore through Nik Nocturnal's channel and I am in awe. The drums, the guitars, the orchestra, the vocals - superb. It's like the perfect blend of what I love: death metal, power metal, deathcore, symphonic metal at the same times of being so fresh and original feeling. Excellent!
@Loren Means the reason you like CJ better is cuz you can understand him clearer but CJ doesn't have the range that Will does and Lorna Shore didn't agree with what CJ was trying to do
Also I'm more talking about how they've grown as a band and progressed, how this more sounds like a European blackened death metal. The song for the most part sounds different than every other song they have written. So I'm saying after three vocalists they are still getting better and trying new things. And that is rare. I do think CJ and Willl have similar vocal styles, where I think Tom Barber sticks out a little bit more as being more unique. I honestly can't pick one though they are all great.
Agreed. The band in itself have such an amazing way to make beautiful music and only continue to get better. After each album it’s like, “there’s no way they can top that” and then mind gets blown away with each new track.
@@AngelOfMorz420 Cj doesn't have range? That's what I'm saying! I never once listened to music like this now this band got me hooked but I can't find anything else that comes close to this amazing sound.
This is such a huge step up from Lorna Shore. The melodic guitars, the entire feel of the song, it's just outstanding. The mix is so insanely good, much better than it was on To The Hellfire. 10/10.
Let's give it up for this universe-breaking solo! For these sky-tearing vocals! For these earth-shattering guitars! For these space-time bending drums! 🔥

@@kalam.23 Abigail Williams is an example of early blackened symphonic deathcore with melo riffing. Also of course Winds of Plague and Id maybe include The Breathing Process. There were also a bunch of MySpace bands experimenting with blackened feels and orchestral stuff I can't name off the top of my head but usually only did like a single EP or whatever and then died!
@@TheTrveMothlord Abigail williams has always been more black metal than anything else, it was not unusual for atmo black metal bands to have some core influence in their riffs at this time, Panopticon had his metalcore riffs for exemple, blackened stuff was all around the corner in the past 10 years, i admit i was not following this trend applied to deathcore but been listening to a lot of french blackened hardcore ala Cowards, Nesseria this kind of stuff i have good memories of Winds of Plague but dk about The Breathing Process, thanks.
Yeah honestly I've never been into death or black metal although my taste has been getting heavier and heavier lol. But there is a few cradle of filth songs that I do like and this reminds me of them.
I enjoy this track musically way more than Into The Hellfire. This is def a mix of the orchestrated death metal, tech death, and of course your death core but I feel like by putting orchestration over the breaks or parts that might be break downs you have escaped the trappings of the death core genre. The neo classical solo work is exceptional and as an old school metal guy its like Yngwie Malmstein showed up to do some classical scales after doing a line of coke in the bathroom.
I agree. Into The Hellfire was an amazing statement piece for the new lineup and I love it, but this feels more like the kind of music I want to hear. This sounds like the same back that gave us Immortal. Given that's the song that introduced me to Lorna, I'm pretty biased to wanting to hear more music like that from them.
I love how heavy this is in such a beautiful, epic way. Just as heavy as To The Hellfire, but in such a different way. This band is literally next-level metal.

@Fractal Chaos lmao
That Key change is just ecstasy.
i think this is reminiscent of vital remains dechristianize (highlight is guitar solo from 2 20). like it?
Yeah, you got any more recommendations? Lololol
@@jsmokem1276 how is it the "least creative" genre? I think your ears are broke 👂🏻🚫

@@jsmokem1276 I understand completely. I think "deathcore" just follows a set formula that works and many just follow it, which makes it in a way "least creative", but I think this happens in all genres and sub-genres of metal. the last "shadow of intent" album has the same vibe - cooperating different genres into deathcore, i can highly recommend them.

Excellent!
This band keeps getting better, and even after three vocalists now. That's rare.
