Very true, portulaca flowers are vibrant in colour. I had one a single one but its colour was the most beautiful red I have seen. Thanks for the tips. I love these flowers from now on I will ration the water :}
Hey Bro , I have planted my Portulaca in a well draining and compost added soil , places it in a balcony where it gets direct afternoon sunlight , water only after the soil is dry on top.....The problem is my plant has numerous buds in every branch literally like 100s in one pot but none of them is flowering ......I heard Portulaca doesn't bloom in winter but won't it bloom atleast one....I don't know why it's not flowering....Any idea??? actually it's winter here in my place with mist in the night , whether it is affecting flowering???
@@dtaylor939 Hi Taylor, I water mine every other day on the hot sunny days. Sometimes but not often I will do once a day, especially if it’s windy and hot out.
Lack of nutrition mostly, the plant is unable to hold that! Please feed some organic compost or bone meal powder and place it in full sun for the entire day! Also water less as these dont need a lot of water

Oh i tried to plants this but i didnt succed.
It seems its easy but for me it didnt grow.
I love this little flower.
I understand they need to be in full sun. I live in Las Vegas and it gets up to 110-115 F. Can they be in that kind of full sun?
100% ✓ 😊 they would love it and you can water them regularly when the soil is dry!
Suzie how often do you water your Portulaca when it's over 100? I'm in Texas, and my plants in containers seem to dry out completely in 1 sunny day.

hello, my plant had been bloom but its bloom for one day then the next day the flower get dry, is it normal that the flower cycle are one day ?
yes some variety flowers have life of a day but there are some varities available when the flowers last long!
They need to be trimmed back and they will produce more flowers than they do now.
Absolutely 😊
Also fertilizer like 19-19-19 is perfect at least once a month.
for how many & which months does it bloom?
They bloom throught summers!
Hi, what soil mixture do you use for this plant? Thank you.
A very loose soil, would say 60 percent normal garden soil mixed with sand or pebbles to make it loose and some compost (20%)
Hi my plant's buds drop before blooming what is the problem

Is it annual? As an annual, will it come back?
Yes it will, next summer
What causes them to start not blooming anymore
Dead heading means removing only the particular flower or the entire tip pls clarify
Exactly my question
The tip , 1cm along with the stem
U r a good boy .
Thank you 🤩
Someone in other video said moss rose doesn't need dead heading... & u say it needs dead heading... Now m totally confused... 😕
🙏🏻 Mumbai India 🇮🇳
If you give deadheading then it will encourage the plant to bloom more and more 😊
