If you are thinking of coming back to Australia you could do Western Australia. A huge state. This might be more Jaspers thing than you as you seem more of a beach girl but The Kimberley Ranges way up north is worth a look. Amazing rock formations and views. It's more inland. Also Ningaloo Reef further south is a beautiful reef. Smaller than The Great Barrier but more unspoiled. You can swim with the whales and dolphins there. Thought I would pass on some local knowledge... ;)

Hey, I never comment so I really must have something to say haha - I get worried travelling away from home most of the time but there are a few things I have come to terms with over the last few years that help: 1) I always come back to the fact that I bought the tickets for a reason in the first place, you really wanted to go, so enjoy it! 2) There are some things that are COMPLETELY out of your control (honestly, most things in life are) and you really just need to take things as they come, sounds cliche but it really helps me settle those unnecessary worries and unclench my jaw lol 3) 9 times out of 10 everything is way easier and more fun when you get there and you probably won't want to leave, I've picked up on this feeling multiple times and I always try to re imagine myself in the last place I was and realized that I had nothing to worry about!! I am traveling to Japan with my two daughters soon (on their first overseas holiday) which is bringing some nerves but again, I know I can do it because I've done it before. Hope this helps and have an amazing time away!!!
Yeah you can get there in one day but its not cheap 😅I have family in the other side of the pond. Adds up to at least £3.5 to 4k return trips a year for 2 trips.
