So here I was, bored out of my mind and tired beyond belief when I decided to watch Hulu before I go to sleep. I subsequently see “DEVS” and decide “why not”. Well, I didn’t sleep when I wanted to, and I got chills no less than 5 times from Episode 1-2. This show is perfect in every way and I did not expect it.
I went into it with a "it's probably another drama of some sort with a facade of sci-fi" mindset and I could not believe it when it just kept crushing it all the way through the first episodes. I hope they keep holding onto the tech/math/philosophy side of it without dumbing it down.
I esp. love the inspired use of “Congregation” playing as the two aging spies struggle to kill each other in the parking garage. The juxtaposition of the slow tempo played over the desperate aged thus awkward struggle for life is as indelible as it is pathetically haunting. Just brilliant.
Just came back to here, because of Devs. Super cool show! It was crazy to hear it not once, but twice in episode 2. I've known Low for over 20 years, live in the same city as them and have seen them in concert probably 100+ times. They are lovely people, in addition to being a superb band.
It feels like this song can invade your head space for days after you have finished listening to it. Brilliant song from them. Glad this song is getting recognition it deserves.

I grew up in Minneapolis in the 90s and saw Low play live many times at First St. Entry etc. Stoked for them they have a great song in a popular new show (Devs). 25 years of music, wow. Always haunting, but effective!

Alex Garland, writer of Devs and many other incredible movies, books, etc, has earned many awards in his career....all Very deserved, and I think Devs will earn him more. If you haven't seen Garlands movies such as Ex Kachina, Annihilation, 28 days later, etc...then in between Devs airings, so yourself the favor of watching these. You'll quickly realize that Devs falls right in his wheelhouse of epic idea and creations. Devs is INCREDIBLE to say the least...which is the ultimate reason I'm watching this video...which was incredibly placed perfectly in the episode, and TRULY delivers the vibe Garland wanted. Long story short...we are all stuck inside with COVID-19 and I wanted to try to brighten your days with some movies to watch! I've ALWAYS wished for Fridays my entire life...but now I wish it was Thursday everyday so I can watch more Devs! Stay safe everyone!

Saw Low some years back and I was far away from the stage and distracted by my own bullshit. Glad I'm giving them a listen, I think I had created an opinion about them based on an experience I really wasn't immersed in. I went to parochial school until the 9th grade. If there is one thing I learned from it, it was they were they most judgemental, hurtful people of all time. I made a conscious decision in the 7th grade to become more spiritual than religious, read tons of books on the subject. Best decision I ever made. Organized religion is about money, contrary to their teachings, it is NOT about the the bible or anything good or holy. Just about money.
