Hey Joerg, I love the channel but especially the instant legolas. I’ve been designing my own version because I’m too impatient to wait for the commercial version! I have two ideas for integrating the draw assist with a compound bow and you don’t need to add extra limbs or anything. You need a much longer string, instead of the string terminating on the opposite limb, it is carried through pulleys and terminates on the carriage mechanism. I have drawings that demonstrate two possible ways to achieve the necessary reduction for the draw assist effect. I’m not sure how to share my drawings with you but i’m sure we figure it out. Keep pumping out the instant legolas videos! The only thing worse than no more slingshots is an incomplete instant legolas.
As a long time subscriber to your channel, I have to say that the more you tinker with your ideas the more fascinating your videos become. The instant legolas videos being just simply amazing. I will never grow tired of them and would love to see more of it, especially moving towards more practical applications. I would love to see a double compound bow, where the second one is tuned in such a way as to compensate the firsts power curve, if at all feasible. But if you wanna go back to some more traditional videos, like the leg powered superslingshot from the old days, I will continue to watch as well. Love it all. But wow, what an evolution. Really love your instant legolas videos. At this stage, with the rubber compensation you could probably also make a small super powerful pump action crossbow. That would just be amazing! Anywho, great content, continue like that!
We love your work Joerg! Please make a version with coiled springs instead of rubber. This will be both safer and just as effective and compact as the rubber band version!
I love your videos Joerg! This is the best channel on TH-cam. Please keep making more instant legolas videos, it's a phenomenal product. I can't wait to see where it evolves next!
Joerg, I love your creativity and which ever direction you decide to go, I'm sure, will be best. Rest assured, I'll be here either way! Thanks for all the great videos.
Please continue with the excellent reengineering . You have touched the next level in the evolution of archery, longbow to recurve to compound bows and Now to the "JoergSprave".
Here's an ambitious build idea for you, Joerg! I think it would be quite fun. Could be a great opportunity for another collab! SIL with a siege ballista-sized bow. Maybe with a simple gear and/or pulley system to reduce the effort needed to draw it back. Could you do it? Could you make a... 5,000lb draw weight kinetic missile launcher? I want to see it split stone and leave the debris weeping for it's mother. ^_^
While that would be cool, i would be very surprised if he could do it. I don't mean it's not possible physically, but I think it would be too expensive and possibly illegal there.
The amount of creativity/R&D you've put into this is truly impressive and had made me really respect your capacity as an engineer and designer. I would love to see more of whatever you decide to do, including further iterations on the repeating SIL bow. Either way is welcome to me, but I definitely hope this isn't the last we see of it. I feel like the commercial aluminium version has so much potential of it enters the market.

All I can think of is that by 2028 these will be in the olympics for sure...you have brought something completely new to archery and the different bows it can work with is amazing...who honestly couldn’t be without one of your machines...bloody awesome 👍🏼🏆😊

Yeah an instant legolas gatling like contraption would be epic. Imagine the nest of two guys on a castle wall. One aiming and cranking and the other holding the belt...
Cool vid! I only have one question, how do you think the Instant Legolas impacts the Archers paradox, and therefore maybe even accuracy(on medieval bows/ bow with no window). Since the arrow is not able (or not fully able) to bend back around the bow to retain a staight course.
The archers paradox is much reduced, first of all because the arrows are much shorter = stiffer, and also because they are guided through the rails. This certainly adds accuracy.
@@Slingshotchannel Thx, but doesn't that mean that the arrows are flying af a little bit to the side? You can of course compensate for this with the sight. Just wondering.
@@patropro They fly totally straight from the mag box. If you aim along the slot for the string, this is 100% where the arrow will go. The bow stave is a bit offset of course, much like on a crossbow. But that is irrelevant. The mag box works like the barrel of the gun, so that is your reference.
@@Slingshotchannel Is there a way to make an effective tool/weapon which fires arrows powered by linear springs? I would love to see a design for a relatively compact mechanical arrow launcher which is powerful, accurate and without limbs like a bow/crossbow. I know you've had some success with rubber and pneumatic arrow launchers, but have you considered using powerful metal springs?
I vote that you follow your passion, it's inspiring. If you are thinking about the next innovation or improvement then by all means keep going with this. If you are getting burnt out on this project and need to let it rest, let ideas grow while you work on what catches your interest next. When are you coming out with a "belt-fed" version? 🙂
Yeah an instant legolas gatling like contraption would be epic. Imagine the nest of two guys on a castle wall. One aiming and cranking and the other holding the belt...
@@tubeTreasurer one guy steers it ballista platform, and the other guy sprints on the human hamster wheel to cycle the repeating action
I agree with most of the other comments. Anything you make is exciting to watch as far back as I can remember. Keep up the great work!

I think the double compound is a great idea. The devices you come up with are simply amazing!!
@@Slingshotchannel What is the altitude record for a rubber-powered rocket? I wonder.
I vote that you follow your passion, it's inspiring. If you are thinking about the next innovation or improvement then by all means keep going with this. If you are getting burnt out on this project and need to let it rest, let ideas grow while you work on what catches your interest next. I'm sure I'm not alone in watching as much for a happy Joerg as for the slingshots and contraptions you come up with. This latest series is a wonder, it's a rare thing to improve on a tradition with as much history as archery. Whatever you decide to share with us next, I'm looking forward to it eagerly!
CAN YOU MAKE A CROSSBOW FROM THE E.K. COMPOUND WHIT YOUR ADDER? YOU SOUD TURN THE BOW HORIZONTAL, THE ARROWS SOUD GET IN THE MAGAZIN FROM UNDERSIDE. UPON SIDE YOU SOUD MOUNT A SCOPE ON IT! IT WILL BE A BRAVUR WHEN YOU MAKE A CROSSBOW WHIT THAT ADDER AND DRAWHELP!!! PLSPLSPLSPLSPLS;-)
Original, and brilliant, to take such simple things and combine them in such an original way.
I have no prpblem watching you develop the ideas you are currently doing. Its fun to see what you keep coming up with. Loved the "dance" with this one LOL!
This thing is getting better and better! Of course it has to stop somewhere, but damn, those videos are satisfying to watch!
You're brilliant! I love how you constantly surprise me! 😊
I can't wait until this is manufactured! Absolutely brilliant!
Go for it, as long as we get to hear "Let me show you it's features!" :) :) then we are all good. The imagination and ingenuity you show is amazing, and I always look forward to getting the TH-cam Notification that you have a new upload.
Keep experimenting!! It’s cool to see all the different combos and new ways of doing archery. Love the content keep it coming!!
Great Channel! Thank you for sharing your genius ideas with such passion! Please keep sharing!
I've liked these videos more the more they come out. I find the iterative improvements more interesting than the general idea itself.
You're channel is a great blend of innovation, information, entertainment and good ol sillyness. Thank you Jorge.
Glad you enjoy it!
