My Oil Rig Spearfishing Gear & Rob Allen Accuracy Challenge!

In this video I show and tell the spearfishing equipment I use when diving the oil rigs in the summer. I go over basic gear to spearguns and then do a pool demonstration shooting my Rob Allen roller gun.

You will find that swimming towards a fish and pointing (not aiming like a rifle) will make you very accurate. Shots taken while still and the fish swimming often miss.

People also don't understand basic physics with wetsuits LOL anytime the water is below your body temp, it is technically going to cause your body temp to drop. Never hurts to wear it!

How often do you do O2 and CO2 tables? I assume you do don’t do apnea walks since you have a pool and a diving buddy? I’ve heard two or three times a week is best but I’d be interested to see what you got going.

I notice you don't run your reel line through the front line guide on your gun. Have you ever had the reel pop off the back of the dovetail mount because of that?
