It would be sick if rougarou's trains were replaced with the new B&M surf trains. Then they can market it as 'Mantis Revenge' and it can finally be fun.
The thing that makes pipeline pretty good is the new layout that isn’t tight and based on inversions.
If B&M would make vest restraints to their standard floorless trains, it would be a much better ride IMO.
Too many twisty bits for that kind of train imo…
Vekoma SFC trains on Iron Dragon are more likely than Surf trains on Rougarou.
No thank you
Restaurant capital of the world rotf lmfao 🤣 🍺 you said it so seriously 😂
Great content and it is never too early to speculate on what's next for the Point.
Loved how you doo that map thing on your wall behind you! I do the same thing for every park that i go to!
was so fun to bump into you two by the steel vengeance train area yesterday!
with melt closing, a new restaurant is imminent
I hope they are adding free lockers for TT2.
Maybe if they get enough backlash, but for now they are not…
Great video guys you guys always do a great job of predicting things and always give good speculations on what you feel may or may not happen have a great day guys.
I would love to see something happen to millennium island with a nice theme
Iike forbidden frontier but family/thrill rides. Put in that woodie like mystic timbers but on steroids and I’ll be satisfied haha.
I miss the Witches Wheel and Disaster Transport I wish they bring that back in some way, can't wait to explore all the rides and coasters that have been added since the last time I been there 20ish years ago
A lot has changed. Have fun
@BeachcliffStudios I will I went all out with a week stay at Hotel Breakers in June and a season pass and have plans to go back 3 or 4 more times after that
The witches wheel used to be my favorite..I can't do large coasters but I could handle the wheel 😊
@@DareDevil0504that was expensive but well worth it enjoy it ❤
I bet this year will be the last for corkscrew. I've heard rumors that this is corkscrews last year, and I don't doubt it. Unlike Magnum and Power tower, corkscrew got nothing new this year, not even a new coat of paint. I also think that the Supper Himalaya will close, and the back stage areas will be moved off property. It seems like their trying to clear out that area with the relocation of the Matterhorn and Scrambler. I think it might me a new coaster and flats. As for Millennium Island, I think their will he a new family coaster on it (because the ones that are currently their are old [mine ride and Blue streak])
Corkscrew is easy to maintain so don’t see it going anywhere
@@BeachcliffStudios well just have to wait and see. If it does close I think it would be cool if they kept the corkscrew part over the midway for looks
I really can see Corkscrew may not last much longer, I was at the passholder preview yesterday and the coaster was down pretty much all day and it wasn't even that busy in the park, I rode it one time and even when the ride was up and running it still wanted to go down, corkscrew just feels like it's just limping along until one day it finally just says "you know what I quit" I think it's time for Cedar Point to just let go of the coaster it's 2024 not 1976 it's time for them to let the nostalgia go and get rid of it. The coaster hasn't aged well almost every other corkscrew coasters of this type have shut down because of age, roughness, and lack of popularity (in general) and I feel that it's time for them to pull the plug on the coaster finally. Coasters have a service life and I feel that Corkscrew is way past it's end of service life.
@@worldofbrandan totally agree with you on that. Cedar point needs to let the ride go and move on. Maybe a couple new flats in its place, or possibly, a new coaster.
Corkscrew's easy to maintain, but its value to the park as *overflow capacity* is fading. TT2 could have a 3 hour wait, and I doubt Corkscrew would get much more than 20 minutes of guests in line. I expect it'll still be around for its 50th anniversary, but CP will probably look to replace it with a family launched coaster soon. This would better connect Camp Snoopy with Planet Snoopy and the Boardwalk while clearing the way for CCMR's removal. Combining that site and the island would be great for a GCI or GG.
Inside the mind of tony clark, what a joy that would be. 😅
Remember Tony's 2 list that was years back? What about a water coaster? I see that happening and them taking out Snake River Falls.
Just came back from the opening weekend and I could see a glaring issue that they don't have any indoor rides and I think a good immersive dark ride is what the park needs. Rougaru barely has lines and is really close to Millineum so I could see a potential two year expansion which the first year could be a dark or flat ride while the other part of the land lays vacant for a future family wooden coaster that uses the rest of the space.
Thanks!
Thank you. Get your ride on tomorrow
Hey Beachcliff its been awhile since I’ve watched your videos! There was recently a survey that came out i saw on Reddit for different coasters and i think the park is already getting and what they were was one being a Tilt coaster a Water coaster a Tower coaster ( witch looks like an entirely new concept) and a family coaster witch could be what Tony Clark ment on what they already ordered for 2025.
Ive got to say the Water Coaster has got to be my favorite option because i think it could be something to daw people back there they need a modern water attraction and they lost Shoot the rapids so it can be a more thrilling better and safer option for a water attraction. A tower coaster is also likely because that would also draw in guest back there compared to a flat ride that would be my guess on whats probably going there. The park definitely doesn’t need a tilt coaster because i think Valravn is already there tilt coaster.
Bty theres likley a reason onto why the park removed the snake river expedition as i think there’s likely multiple things going there around the water.
Those surveys are typically a few years away from coming to fruition.
Possibly but just i thought that they’d fit well on Millennium island.
Love the “Manta T “
Quite a surprise to me how much I loved that ride.
I worked that ride back in 2021 until 2022
Yesterday at Passholder Preview, I saw a crane dismantling the slides closest to Hotel Breakers. I'm not sure what's going on, but I thought I'd share!
Interesting. Didn’t notice on Sunday. Have to check it out tomorrow.
The slides being dismantled haven't been used for years. They were the 1 of the first ones built when the waterpark opened in 1988. Most likely will be replaced with new slides
New camera? Nice. Sound is great too. 👍
Actually no new camera, however we made some changes with our audio and we think it sounds much better!
Love your manta T shirt I worked that ride back in 2021
maybe they could fill the island with a whole bunch of flat rides and call it Zamperla island. lol
😂
combine the kids areas. Expand camp snoopy into millennium island. Add two Zamperla flats in those old kids spots extending the boardwalk is what I would do.
I feel like the taste of their food has massively improved compared to like 10 years ago, I wish they had more options than pizza burgers and chicken. lol
Unpopular opinion, but I absolutely love zamperla’s Hawk 48. I think that would go so well at the boardwalk. Maybe where chaos used to be (where the basketball game is now)
Melt left so maybe it is a restaurant.
Or it's Restaurant: The Ride.
Anything in that spot won’t be a big addition. Not like the other restaurants that were new builds
I think there is a coaster in the plans but I would guess it’ll be 2026. But I also believe the made a deal with Zamperla that includes other rides and maybe even another family style coaster.
26 is definitely possible but 27 might be a little more likely.
The slides closest to Hotel Breakers where being dismantled opening weekend. This has me thinking it's a Cedar Point Shores addition.
You guys are right on…..as always ! I would love to see more flat rides especially an “ Endeavour” ride since Witches Wheel was my favorite flat ride. Get rid of Kiddie Kingdom and put a couple there…..more flats on the main midway CP.
I’m going to cedar point through may 28 to 31st I’m getting the second fast lane pass so I’m excited to go
Tons of spots for a couple modern flat rides. My favorite, make a small themed area to go with Wave Swinger. Tear down the haunted building (former carousel) and add a Zamperla Nebulaz and WindStarz (those two rides are not big plots), and give Wave Swinger a new theme. A western steampunk theme would be really cool for this area (picture the movie Wild Wild West). Another location could be move the show stage in front of Iron Dragon and make that a flat ride midway again, as it was until 1985. This midway is so wide, flat rides could be added on the side with no problem.
Freakshow is their most popular indoor haunt, can’t see them removing it.
I agree a flat ride would be the most probable next ride. But what I would like to see is a dark ride of some sort. Something like the old pirate ride that was near Blue Streak or something more modern like Disneys Toy Story Mania. I think take away one of the 3 kiddie areas and upgrade the other two and insert 1-2 flat rides would be a good idea.
A dark ride is much needed but we’ve given up on them actually getting one. Hope they prove us wrong
I would like to see a trail built next to trail tavern restaurant. It could go out next to millennium force’s tunnel, and then turn right and head for the first turn on millennium force and head back. I think it would make a great addition to cedar point’s forbidden frontier. I could just title it with a basic name “Nature trail” or “Frontier Trail.” I wish I could post the photo of the layout but it’s not possible on this website.
I honestly don't think a coaster is out of the question. Maybe I'm just hopeful, or maybe airtime thrills has just poisoned my thoughts but I'm guessing they had something planned before the accident, and 2020. Maybe they're just catching up? Probably not. But imma be hopeful.
We’ll have to wait and see
They have closed down that boat ride. Maybe something new is going in there.
Yes, people don't typically seek out flat rides. But if you're already in Camp Snoopy, it's not much farther of a walk to cross a bridge onto the island and do some rides there. So I wouldn't be surprised to see expansion there.
But you can’t get to the island from camp snoopy
I’m thinking it’s going to be a Soak City expansion, during Gold Passholder previews for TT2 a slide complex that was rarely opened was seen getting demolished. I can see a new Proslide structure taking its place
We’ll see soon enough if things start to get built in the waterpark.
Steel Vengeance is going to be converted back to Mean Streak with the entire track work being installed by The Gravity Group with a much improved 2nd half of the New Mean Streak!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
We have a winner
@@BeachcliffStudios 🤣🤣🤣‼️ I actually do love Steel Vengeance. It's So Awesome, It Doesn't Make Any Damn Sense.🎢⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‼️❤️
I'm here at cedar point right now I hope to see you guys this from Tim Iwaniw
Can't wait for Cedar Point trip.
He said he wanted to out due steel vengeance. 😍😍😍😍😍. How about a nice flat ride package
He stepped back from that statement.
They need to make the water park handicapped accessible. They havd the signs but there are no alternate entrances for the rides
idk what you think about it but for inverting flat rides and ones from zamperla I think the Hawk 48 is a good ride I have experience with it with the addition at kennywood called Aero 360
Isn’t that the one that got stuck upside down last year? 😂
@@BeachcliffStudios It did back in 2022 but im pretty sure that happened because the ride was at the end of its service live being at the park for more than 20 ish years. Its a very fun ride with good hang time and forces, and its opening back up at kennywood tomorrow after a renovation of the ride was completed
A slide complex is being removed from Cedar Point Shores. This may be to free up space for a new addition to the water park.
That’s possible
Since this was filmed before opening day, you didn't see the huge open area where the food trucks were. Maybe a new flat ride there? Unless the food trucks will come back later in the season?
That spot COULD be an area for a station of a new coaster and have the layout go over the road into the old dorms area. Not my ideal choice but that may be what they end up doing.
I was told the Schultz family isnt going to be with cedar point much longer their contract is up in july of this year so that might be what the big change is since cedar point is merging with six flags
Cedar fair isn’t acting like it’s going away. Upgraded camp snoopy area at many parks, rides themed and named after peanuts names…
So I’ll be going to cedar point for my first every visit on Memorial Day so May 27th which is a Monday. I’ll be getting fast lane plus. Will the fast lane line be all that bad on that day do u think? It’s open from 10-7 and wanna make sure I get on everything. Do you think that will be possible? Or is it packed that weekend/day normally?
You should be good to go with fast lane
Just note that veterans will be getting in free that day. So the park may be busy.
Ooo I’m also going on Memorial Day
Kiddie Kingdom is there because it's almost the only place with rides that kids under 36" can ride - not to say they couldn't repurpose that area, they just need to relocate or replace those rides to cover that same demographic
Saying to replace some of those rides with similar modern kids rides. And move them elsewhere
Cedar Fair seems to be having a love affair with Zamperla right now so maybe a couple of flat rides. I'm hoping for an Air Race
Zamperla actually came out with a coaster that's kinda similar to maverick I remember while back ago before they announced zamperla redoing tt2 someone made a video showing that the zamperla ride would actually fit in the location of that frontier thing cedar point removed by milly
New Subscriber as of today..anyways they could probably do away with the arcade and the old kids rides and use all of that space. People dont really need arcades anymore because of home game systems and online games on your phone. I have a season pass since I live not far in Ohio but cant do Large Coasters....I wish I could 😢
Hey, thanks for subbing. That building is too historic so they’ll never take it down.
I'd argue we might get a new restaurant to replace melt.... but I don't think that's what Tony was talking about.
If something replaces that spot it won’t be the type of addition we’re talking about.
Maybe it could be a new coaster … I feel like TT2 was more of a refurb … and they might have had something in the works years ago for next year … but we’ll see !
They are 100% considering TT2 a new coaster.
The only way to outdo Steel V would be a 4d or a ride like ride to happiness
CP can also use a Massive GCI woody to round out there line up.
A gci or gravity group would be great and may be coming but not for 25
Im thinking 2 things either a flat ride or a record breaking dark ride.
Any dark ride would be great
They already have a spot for a restaurant, since Melt has closed for good. Also, on the thoosie people, not you, complaining about all the restaurants, they actually have taken out a bunch of places...Subway, Johnny Rockets, Chick Fil A, Mac Shack, Lakeside, Buckaroo Burritos . The new places are better, nicer, higher capacity. All of the new places are the go to places for the most part... Farmhouse, Backbeat, Pavillion, Hugo's, revamped Corral. They are where I eat 80% of the time with my meal plan. I will go to Miss Keat's also.
Backbeat definitely is NOT a go to, especially with real BBQ available at the park. Backbeat is just commercial kitchen BS.
I wonder how opening day will go since it’s supposed to rain most of the day
There’s not a huge chance of rain so it should be mostly good
2025 ....Snake River Expedition 2 - Trapper Dan's Revenge. Also probably some restaurant to replace Melt. A dark ride would be great too... Boo Blaster-ish.
We’ve given up on a dark ride 🤣
If contracts have been signed, I'd think it would have to be something on the island. Since they closed forbidden frontier last year, they've had a year to work out the details and get things signed. And closing the boat ride, that seemed to be quite popular, it gives them the opportunity to construct another bridge and keep eyes off of whatever they build on the island. My guess would be an island themed restaurant, or maybe a T-Rex restaurant so that they can claim they got the long awaited T-Rex. Lol
Yeah If Cedar point gets a 500ft coaster it won’t be from Rmc i guaranteed. Falcons flight has a chance to be reliable and i bet the park is at least keeping an eye out on that project.
If it ends up being that then we think it would be a mistake.
@@BeachcliffStudios i don’t know what you mean where your referring too in particular i think but i think it depends where the bridge is placed and i think a 500ft coaster would certainly be a draw.
@@CC-sv9fs we won’t even address a 500ft coaster because it’ll never happen so it’s a moot point. We don’t think it would be wise to put rides on the island.
@@BeachcliffStudios got it yeah i mean i would agree i was saying if they were to do that it would go around the island. Thats fair too like if a 500 ft coasters were to happen it would be if rumors really amp up so i think that’s fair i understand.
Its got to be Zamperla
That’s the easy place for our minds to go
Well the melt bar and grill ain’t coming this year I could see new restaurants in there in 2025. And some flat ride
How about Mack Power Splash. The one with inversion.
If they get rid of snake river falls like might happen then that’s a possibility
Actually with melt closing it very well could be a new restaurant
That wouldn’t be a big addition though
@@BeachcliffStudios Tony always over hype's things though
@@clevonick216 they’ve never considered those restaurants new additions though. Like when melt went in it wasn’t the big deal they made for like farmhouse.
There is a lot more years that come after 2024... I hope so Milo : ) Cedar Points Kids areas are all over the place and a mess. I'd make it a priority. I'd also make a family coaster similar to Big Bear Mountain a priority and possibly dump Cedar Creek. That being said, I am not the manager or anything at CP lol.
Getting rid of mine ride has been what we’ve been predicting for a while now but we think a woodie back there instead of a family coaster.
@@BeachcliffStudios I can see them doing that. It’s CP lol. I try to look at ways to bring other audiences to park, CP only interested in thrills. It’s always gonna be about thrills at CP, but I’d love something different too. I think one good family coaster wouldn’t hurt them especially if they take out mine train. I remember going there with my kids when they were small, and it really wasn’t that great for them compared to other places. That being said your guess is more likely I think. I slept past my 4 am alarm…. So I might just sleep some more and hope I can walk into CP in the afternoon. I will be there today and tomorrow.
They will get a family boomerang as part of re theming one of the kiddie ares to Looney Tunes (don’t worry they will still have one Peanuts area)
They can remove the those old dated flat rides at the beginning of the park and put them at that location.
Coasters have 18 to 24 months lead time minimum. There is no chance this is for 2025, 2026 would be pushing it. CP can "milk" TT2 hype for a few years. Look for 2027 or 2028 & the interim years they do something other places. Millenium midway area badly needs a spruce up. TT2 midway could be built out with flats as they moved 2 to the Boardwalk. CP flat ride collection is lacking IMO, 2 modern flats near TT2 would be great to feed off TT2 bringing people to that area of the park. They could do something with Island, but that could be the area for the next coaster, if they don't want to remove anything to create space. I however would love if the Island became the kids area, move the kid rides from near the boardwalk to there & add more, Then, build out the Boardwalk the next year with new attractions.
Most do, some rides like gatekeeper came together really quickly. But yeah, we are saying that it’s not going to be a coaster
I could see the kid’s kingdom area being demolished for a family coaster of some sort. That area has definitely outlived its usefulness. Those rides are just too old and carnival like.
Cedar Fair sent out a survey for *new attractions* at three parks. Cedar Points options were, a Mack water or Extreme spinner as well as a Vakoma tilt coaster. Of course they could choose something completely different.
Coaster Studios just did a video (4days ago) covering the survey that was sent out. It's was for Kings Island, Cedar Point and Carrowinds.
BTW, saying they signed a contract doesn't necessarily mean it is for next season. That's an assumption you're making. Sure they could have something new next season and one of the three coming but I doubt it.
For a new coaster it wouldn’t be next season but anything else this is plenty of time.
Something you guys may have missed.... "contracts have been signed." Could that have something to do with the six flags merger?
It was in regards to an addition to the park though. Tony won’t be the one announcing the merger has closed.
@BeachcliffStudios yeah, I missed the, "already been PLANNED" part.
Melt bar is closing. Maybe another restaurant or bar?
Anything that may go into that spot won’t be a significant addition like the new build restaurants were.
@@BeachcliffStudiosDepends on the restaurant. The right one could definitely be a significant addition, considering that if a new restaurant were to go in there, a new kitchen would have to be constructed.
The main problem with Melt was the kitchen. Because it was super tiny, they could never keep up with demand, and it was by far the worst Melt in the chain.
What are you talking about? I always see kids riding the Motorcycles in Kiddie Kingdom. I can still hear those damn things when I am not in the park! I think they need the flat ride package the most. They need to go back to the Capacity Park days. I still dunno why they removed their Witches Wheel.
Obviously kids are going to ride the rides, that’s not the point. They are outdated and need to be replaced.
@@BeachcliffStudios Oh yeah, I agree there. Kids deserve better but that is the one ride there that burns itself into your brain lol. Same with the Michigans Adventure one.
Yeah some of those kiddie flat rides at Michigan's Adventure sound like a lawnmower running over a bucket of bolts😂
What if they are putting in a water coaster where they are tearing down the water slide at.
That would be a solid addition for sure
I mean why would they tear down a water slide? Expansion for a new water coaster?
I think what Cedar Point should do is get a whole new layout for frontier town and make it completely different. Something like that could take many years in the making and might cause some traffic jams in the making, but during these times of years I’m not seeing anyone really enjoy it over there. Yes it’s creepy and cool for Halloweekends, but that’s it. They could add a whole nother roller coaster, private bathrooms, benches, and more for family and friends. Also I feel like the animals there aren’t enjoying over there, no horse wants to get rid on and no one even rides them, and other things like old buildings and more that aren’t even running anymore that just have spider webs and dust should get taken down too. Which is why I think they should take all that down, Gain extra land and make something out from it.
The horses definitely don’t want to sit there and walk around a path with people on them on. That’s for sure.
Manta is a great ride! Tallest and fastest in Orlando!
What’s next in 2025? Top Thrill 3 😂
Cedar point put a survey out to their season passholders asking what ride type would they like to see at Cedar point in the future. They did this with several other parks as well.
Those usually take a few years to see anything built. Like kings dominion is just starting their new coaster for the 25 season and they did their survey a couple years ago now.
I feel that Cedar Fair is looking for the next Arrow Dynamic so to speak, with Cedar Fair turning to Zamperla more often than before and I think they think that Zamperla might be it, out of every manufacturer they could have choose to revamp Top Thrill they choose Zamperla out of all the different options they had at hand, and I feel that if TT2 is successful they might create a stronger bond together like they do with B&M so something that has to do with Zamperla most likely isn't out of the question.
Cedar point in particular loves to latch onto manufacturers. Arrow, intamin, b&m…
They need a seafood restaurant
Restaurant enthusiast
@@BeachcliffStudios yes
Plenty in Sandusky if you want that. If you like catfish, Famous Dave's has some great Catfish fingers.
Actually it is a new coaster and im betting its zamperla building it
If they get a new coaster three years in a row we’d be shocked. But pleasantly shocked
@@BeachcliffStudios they done it in the past in fact i wouldn't be shocked at all i dont think its a record breaker but i do know at time when deal was made for top thrill 2 they made a deal for second one at exact time but their only one of 2 spots it go in but i will tell you its definitely zamperla that will be working on the project
@@josephstrohmeyer5758 can’t recall any time in their history that they added a new coaster three years in a row.
@@BeachcliffStudios its been around 15 to 20 years ago when they last done it but last time they done it was in competition with kings island six flags or geuaga lake as most know it and Kenny wood i actually remember it very well because wicked twister millennium force top thrill dragster was all done in same time frame either way will see teaser through out the year and when your as big as cedarpoint is you cant hide projects to long hints why lake Erie lifestyles had to be removed first on you tube they forced him to remove content because the aerial view was giving away their next project
I really started speculating today when I realized that the gossip gulch stage in frontier town is not going to be used this season for bands in residence. Two seasons ago, they took away the Lusty Lil show, now the frontier festival is gone, along with snake river/hidden island attractions, and the gossip gulch stage is not having bands in residence. Hmmm ...seems like everything they are phasing out is related to frontier town. I don't like it! I swear if they are phasing out the frontier theming and entertainment just to replace it with six flags tackiness and mediocrity, I'm going to be so disappointed.
I wouldn’t worry about that. I don’t see six flags park culture coming over to cedar fair parks. There’s really no need for it and cedar fair management are in place making the decisions so I think we’re safe.
@@BeachcliffStudios I think the animals are going to be the only live entertainment left back there. Hopefully we can keep those. 💛
RMC blue streak 😈
Blasphemy
Enterprises are way better than the Zamperla endeavors
Enterprises are dying, harder to get parts & aren't super popular with patrons. Hence they have been removed by many parks in the last 5 years.....SF Great America, Wonderland, Cedar Point, KY Kingdom, etc...
Leverage six flags properties now they are combined so DC universe stuff for out dated kids section … really cheap re branding like they r doing at other six flags parks
🤷♀️
A dark ride?
That’s what we want
500 footer inbound
50 footer is more likely. 😂
@@BeachcliffStudios how high would u say the back of the train goes up the spike? i cant find a fact anywhere.
Flat rides for 2025 on the island
There are a handful of flat rides Cedar Point could use, but they need a flying coaster and a modern woodie…but the thing they need the most: a DARK RIDE! I hate that there’s no dark rides anywhere in the park with the most rides….that’s insane.
We want a dark ride so badly but for some reason the park just doesn’t care to build one.
Get rid of Corkscrew and put in a kids version of TT2
A 42 foot top hat and spike?
@BeachcliffStudios "TT2 Jr. coming soon, 50 ft tall top hat and spike brought to you by Zamperla"
