Awesome help! Was able to take the cord out of the old one. Use a flat head and push in one flap and then pull that side out of the cord. Then rotate the cord while keeping the one end protruding and use the flat head again to push in and pull the cord out all at once. A little strength. Would have not know about flaps on the cord if I didn’t see the video!!!!
Grommets are such a pain! No shame in just cutting them out if you can hide it Highly recommend taking 15mins to google exactly how to remove the one on your specific appliance Flat head or a long needle nose can work most of the time

No need to cut metal, go with the screw driver method as mentioned by others. Also, you don’t pull wire off, push tab in and wire pops out.
