If they are “pest snails” then there is no “how to breed” they are just gonna do it what the heck…
So I have a 15 gallon tank and was interested in getting one vanilla lobster (white specter crayfish) do you think that would be enough for that.
is the oxygen fine with the baby crawfish in the container or should you get a small pump??
I was able to rip this plastic piece out with vise-grips and violence without cutting the metal sheet. It took a while. There is a metal clip under the plastic piece that slid out that made it a little easier - but what a PITA.
When female lays eggs After meeting???? 1 week or 2 weeks???
It varies but it takes anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months.
Do you have any crayfish for sale if so how much ?
Hello, unfortunately I do not. I am soon going to be selling my clownfish though!
House gecko whos the one feeding on the crayfishes tankmates
i have a lot of hiding spaces within my aquarium, but my crayfish still agressive with my other fish like mollies, danios and guppy how can i avoid that?
You can separate the fish from the crayfish just to make sure your crayfish doesn't eat all of your fish!
At what age they become adult & mate?
About 6 weeks.
Why not snailsishis but fishis and shimps craygishishis. Idk I’m hunting deers tomorrow hope I catches one
Wow, mine has one even longer , got home from work today and noticed it, wasn’t there yesterday? Had me worried
what species is this??
These are the Procambarus alleni
how are you
hello man
so uh i have a Australian red claw (adulthood size) and he is about 2-3 years old and I got him in august 2021. He has stopped molting for the past 4 months and I randomly noticed a change coming home from school, he was digging a small hole in the side of my 20 gallon tank (about half of the tank is just plain gravel and no decor) and hasn't been that active lately. I also have 2 Semotilus atromaculatus fish from my local creek in there. Is my crayfish dying?
I maintain water temps and do regular water changes every 2-3 weeks (I'm not sure if that's normal or not) This is my first crayfish, and I also had a 10 gallon tank and unfortunately 2 crayfish died in it which is still a mystery today ( I had 2 clarkii's)
Awesome setup
Hey Thanks!
Mines poop is 6 inches long 😂
How is she doing??? Still going good?
@@archszn hi, no it passed away after eating blue crayfish..
Oh noooo!!!! Yeah cherax and procam cannot be together
Do you have any update in ypur breeding tank set-up or you still do this?
I got rid of this after selling all of my crayfish. I will soon post videos on my saltwater tank set up!
nice video
Thank you!
why arent they eating corys
@@BigTRTv they eventually did 😂
Well done!
Thanks!
Where did you get the wood decor?
Local fish store!
I have a easy set up i only dose all for reef and do monthly water changes and my tank is thriving i dont have all the fancy stuff to me the main thing is keep your hands out as much as possible make sure your salinity is always the same i would get a auto top off if possible and a rodi and get a wavemaker as the left side needs more flow check out my recent 2 year update video of my fluval flex which is a very simple set up
Heyy, what you using to devide the tank please
Its a plastic net I found at near by Daiso!
Why kind of crayfish are they?
They are the Procambarus alleni aka blue crayfish!
@@WaterStTVsubscribe nice! I have red claw crayfish and my female just bred and she has babies!
you mean red swamp@@YaBoy_Metro-vg7cc
@@BigTRTv no, red claw crayfish. They are Australian crayfish
@@BigTRTv Cherax quadricarinatus
Some also don't understand what they should do... Instead of showing all vins off they be pulling them together. 😂
hello please help. my crayfish jumped out of the tank last night and fell a good 2-3 feet mb. i picked him up immediately and put him back and he seem fine but today he hasn’t moved much and i tried to move him and he was trying to flip away but couldn’t rlly and landed on his back but he’s alive please help
You’ll have to watch and see how he or she does. Mine jumped out of my tank that was about 6 feet high and it suffered for couple of days and unfortunately died… but it depends case by case tho! Hopefully yours survived!
what would you have to do differently to keep corals in the tank?
I just recently purchased a Green Star Poylps and they are doing perfectly fine! It’s been about a week and I’ll do a video on it soon. Buuut if you want a full coral setup, I think it’d be better to do more thorough research!
I had a blue crayfish that just had 8 babies and this is such an amazing idea deffinetly gave me some good insight. Gave me a lot of inspiration. At first i was planning on getting a bunch of smaller individual tanks but this idea is great. Gonna do just one big communal for them now
A big thing is having the small bio load. Less fish means less maintenance and water changes. Thanks for the video. Cool setup.
Thanks!
As soon as you start adding corals etc they won’t last with this setup, you definitely need more than salt😂
1.024 to 1.028 is fine for most corals, if he uses only soft corals, should be fine, don't need to worry about calcium and alkalinity. LPS as long as you do a small water change with half decent salt (Reef crystals atleast) will do fine
@@RankedZero And to make sure the salinity is proper you'll need a refractometer or hydrometer. Additionally, RO water at a minimum and DI as a bonus, because unless you're blessed with incredible pristine tap water people will be throwing money down the drain trying to keep softies alive or wondering why their fish only live for 2 weeks. Also, good luck with the algae in a month, not having anything to compete for nutrients in the sump and the entire tank getting bathed in cheap light. I wouldn't be surprised if a proper micro-biome never gets established here. I mean, sure, you can put a couple of Clowns in a tank with water and salt, show them swimming around and claim that's all it takes but it's disingenuous at best. There's a reason that people spend a lot of money in the saltwater hobby and that's because there is a difference between the bare minimum and providing a thriving environment for the huge variety of animals people enjoy taking care of. Does everyone need to spend $10,000 to have the ultimate reef setup? Absolutely not, but at a bare minimum people should be aware that it takes a bit more than "just salt", especially as things get more complicated with the likes of corals and inverts.
That's true, it can be simple to keep salt water fish. Things only get complicated once you wish to have corals where a decent light for a 4ft tank starts at 800-1000 USD. Then you have to worry about keeping the right level of minerals and dosing them if needed, having filtered water as base. You have to maintain higher PH and higher alkalinity which could also require dosing stuff. You also need extra flow for corals with random patterns, so you need wavemakers. You need better filtration: protein skimmer, algae refugium, filter socks or filter roller mats, etc. You can add a ton more extra equipment but yeah, for fish, you can get away with the same stuff what you have for your fresh water + reef salt + refractometer
Why did you add aquasoil in the 75 gallon but there's actully no live plants
In 75 gal, there’s only black gravel! I don’t add live plants in my crayfish tanks because they CHOP and EAT them all! XD
boss san mo nabili container mo?
Just to let everyone know it's mainly depending on the crayfish size the bigger females can have up to 200 but the smaller/medium ones only lay like 60
i got a electric blue , and 4 common reds , the reds are so much more aggresive towards anything that gets close to them , killed both corydoras first day the blue will only eat whats already dead (they are not in the same tank) but right now i got my blue in a tank with a Panther crab , and guppies , the reds are in a pond with a turtle and a few golds
Hi I have a 5g tank that’s not your normal five gal it has the base and length of a 10g has lots of space.. is that good for a crayfish? My LFS said it would be fine as long as I do 1-2 water changes every week
Impressive aquascape, real nice!! Good insight too!
Glad you enjoyed it
I have detritus worms in my substrate, good food source.
Looks nice!! I dig the Bamboo too! Microfauna and flora is actually very good, steer from harsh chemicals, I find Seachem Garlic Guard and Newlife Spectrum Thera A the ultimate weapon for ick. You could've compromised your beneficial bacteria colonies.
I've got ramshorns and their shells remind me more of funky toenails😜🙈🤣
deffo gonna keep this in mind. i recently acquired a turtle that a coworker couldnt take care of any longer and i have a vanilla lobster that i've had for about a year now, i've been thinking of putting the crayfish in the (very much bigger) new turtle tank. i'm trying to figure out the best items to use (that are natural looking) that provide shelter for the crayfish. there's some minnows and cheap goldfish in the tank already and the turtle seems to be leaving them alone (for the moment).
Isn’t she drying out and dying now? What are you waiting for, just to make a video! Rinsing her in tap water,Not Good!😢👎🏻
@@catfishm.1361 Yup she was but I found her not so long after she escaped out of the tank. And rinsing her in tap water wouldn’t kill her immediately. I breed my own crayfish and they are 💪. Thanks for your concerns!! ✌️🙏🙏
Think I have 2 blue dwarf male crayfish in a ten. How do I tell males from females? 👍🏻
my neon tetras are going missing, i have them in the tank with a couple of danios and a crayfish and 1 pleco.. is there any chance the crayfish ate them?
Do you still have the snails I’ve been looking for some?
🖤🖤
I have a 1.2m tank with 6 in yes they do have a small fight boom crash but seldom serious so yes U can just give lotsa space to hide don't put more then like 6 in a 1.2m
I had to banish my 3 spot gourami to the creak because it nearly killed my dwarf gourami. Can’t have more than one male in same tank.
do you know if i can keep a tire track eel with a crayfish
Not too sure but I’m sure they will hurt the eel if it’s not fast enough
