It would be a very useful feature when you think about the scope that RDR2 has. We could relax just watching sceneries, or we could go to get a cup of coffee. Or maybe there could be some robberies while we were passengers. It would definitely add a lot to the gameplay.
rdr1 also had custom models for the player rdr2 is just the clothes model on top of the character which makes the characters look way bigger and bloated

"Here's your chance to stay alive, you gonna come quietly? Get your hands above your useless head. That chicken was like family to all of us, you son of a bitch!"
The skip to destination feature was also used during missions in RDR1, like when John's riding on a wagon with someone heading to a destination, you could just skip the ride and not hear their conversation. In RDR2, you are forced to ride the entire way listening to faux philisophical dialogue. Oh, and when riding together with people on horses in RDR1, characters raised their voices to be heard over hoofbeats. In RDR2, they talk normally as if in the same room together.
Except they do talk loud when riding faster in rdr2. That's just a straight up lie. You're also almost never riding a wagon in rdr2 so skipping is redundant. "Faux philisophical dialogue" no wonder you're wrong, you're getting high on your own farts. Also it's PHILOSOPHICAL. Don't use big words if you can't even spell them right kid
After played both, I do enjoyed both games tbh. Comparison wise is like between GTA San Andreas and GTA 5. Rdr1 giving me a Role-Play feel overall. I love Bounty Hunting so much, sometimes robbing a bank wearing a mask.
One thing that RDR2 absolutely gets right over RDR1 would be how NPCs react to you being a jackass, such as running into them and talking smack. RDR1 has none of that and it seriously hurts the fun to be had whilst fooling around in the open-world. There are zero consequences unless you start shooting. Even fist fights are pointless. In short; RDR2 punishes the player too frequently, whereas RDR1 doesn't punish the player enough. There needs to be balance.
RDR2 npc behavior is almost perfect. When you punch an NPC the reaction can be different, some of them start fighting immediately, some go to call the law and some try to run away. There are aggressive NPCs and there are cowardly ones. The biggest problem with RDR2 is the wanted and witness system. If Rockstar carefully analyzes RDR1 and RDR2, RDR3 will be perfect in this regard.

@@gamermanofficial agree, I can see how spaghetti westerns inspired the making of red dead just as how gangster movies inspired GTA. The lighting of this game under 4K resolution is not something you’d expect from a 2010 game
This. People keep asking for a remaster. It doesn't need a remaster, and a remaster would just ruin it.
Rdr1 is basically Gta4 in wild west😁
And still it's so much more than that!
That's what i told everyone that loved gta 4 and, were uncertain about rdr, "it's gta 4 in the wild west"
I would say it's an evolution, like a 4.5, there are some many things in RDR that are done so much better that in GTA IV, pretty much every aspect except the driving because it's the wild west. It really shows how Rockstar put so much effort and passion into the game.
Rdr 1 is better than gta iv
@@HichamBoudouma they're both great, gtfo
It's incredible that we still don't have a realistic or reasonable wanted system.
I mean, Mafia 1 (the original) was so much better already...
Red dead 2 had lack of Duels, bounty hunting and robbery
Unlimited bounty hunting should be in rdr2 and bank robberies and have the bounties go much higher then 1500 and you can already blind fire in rdr2
the wanted system also works better in RDR1. i appreciate the depth they tried to add to it in RDR2, but none of the systems in place actually work as intended. it feels extremely rushed and at many times just straight up broken. don’t even try to rob trains in that game, waste of time
Apparently you will be pretty safe if you stop the train inside a tunnel. Ain't tried myself yet, though.
But its kinda boring and annoying to that everytime.@@arntoskarolaussen7900
Thats why I used mods for this, to fix this shitty system
@@arntoskarolaussen7900 i shouldn’t have to exploit the game just to not get wanted for a crime that realistically the police should have no idea about
Red Dead Redemption is just a better game.
Online liars dice was my favorite along with my Buffalo 😢
Yet another example of an older game having more thought and care put into it, than its streamlined sequel
RDR2 is a lot of things but streamlined isn't one of them.
You’ve never played rdr2 if you think 1 has more thought and care
There is also way more Random camp encounters in rdr 1
5:20 No way they're going to get mad over a chicken killing that they probably don't care about 😂
It’s still animal cruelty, so it’s a crime.
Also, with Valentine being a livestock town, I’d be concerned about some guy going around and kicking animals.
I mean, to be fair, there should be _some_ consequences for stomping somebody's livestock to death like a lunatic. It's just taken too far in RDR2.
People were hanged for livestock theft. Chickens, cows, it was serious stuff back then. Not that the game handles it the most realistically but that's a different point.
Why would they not care about someone killing their livestock? You do understand that they rely on that, right? They can't just run to walmart for some more eggs...
I remember the first time I went to thieves landing there was a game of liars dice for $200 I walked out wining $600 but for some reason now all the games are at $20
It's a side quest related thing. The one side quest to win property I believe has repeatable $200 games which are amazing abusable early grind but it reverts to its standard price when the guy despawns and you come back.
@@netherwolf3012 ah you right I remember having to do that quest at the same time
@@chickenfoundation9323 If you need quick and easy money in-game, try out a five finger fillet match and keep increasing the bet score to the max for each opponent, the fillet pattern stays the same for each one opponent anyway so you just have to remember what buttons to press in time.
Apparently due to some cut voice lines in the game files of RDR2, there was supposed to be the style of stage coach rides as in the RDR1
It would be a very useful feature when you think about the scope that RDR2 has. We could relax just watching sceneries, or we could go to get a cup of coffee. Or maybe there could be some robberies while we were passengers. It would definitely add a lot to the gameplay.
rdr1 also had custom models for the player
rdr2 is just the clothes model on top of the character
which makes the characters look way bigger and bloated
Nah, RDR2 does that way better than RDR1. Full clothing customization is way better than only having premade outfits to choose from. I had a blast creating my own personalized version of the RDR1 deadly assassin outfit for my John in the epilogue.
Red Dead Redemption is one of the greatest games ever made and probably my all-time favorite.
I didn’t even know about the blindfire thing
I’ve played RDR1 for years and I never realized blind fire was in the game
Rdr1s background music is sooo good
The use of the euphoria physics engine in RDR1 is far far ahead compared to RDR2. Since GTA5, its downgraded and boring.
Gta iv is so downgrade
After played both, I do enjoyed both games tbh. Comparison wise is like between GTA San Andreas and GTA 5. Rdr1 giving me a Role-Play feel overall. I love Bounty Hunting so much, sometimes robbing a bank wearing a mask.
Its like gta iv and gta v all over again
But it's really fucking annoying being reported if I struck an npc first, but if they do the exact same thing then the law doesn't give a damn.
@@glitchy6449 I'd rather have something happen than nothing. I don't like "interacting" with braindead NPCs in muh vidya.
The Bethesda model of "do whatever you want with no repercussions" is as engaging as playing with pig shit.
@@maxmcqueen1196considering how broken the wanted system is in RDR2, i’d rather prefer how it works in RDR1. the wanted system is just annoying on top of being extremely inconsistent
@@ninjafrog6966 No. I want actual substance to my open-world games. I'll take a flawed wanted system over non-reactive, soulless NPCs. Otherwise, it's not worth the $60-$70 price tag.
Crazy how the only competition RDR2 has to being the best game ever, is RDR1.
Play more games goofy
@indianwarlord6935 Oh I've played loads
Kicking a chicken is the one thing I agree with in rdr2 though, and Arthur didn’t kick it he tried stomping it to death lol
Having limited bounties in rdr2 was always something I didn’t like, it was perfect in rdr1
You can rob banks in RDR ? I finished this game twice without knowing, wow time for another playthrough
When the 1st Red Dead Redemption game has the better gameplay mechanics then the 2nd one, the prequel could've been similar but rdr2 is different.
#10 Weather is like this in Roanoke Ridge in RDR2 tho. I've had endless days of rain there, or a magnetic storm that lasted a full day, without rain. Sleeping or reloading your game usually clears it.
Can’t believe the game just called you a “dastardly canker”
RDR1 has friendly multiplayer while RDR2 doesn't
I prefer RDR 2 with more realistic in all aspect
1:21 I wish RDR 2 Have this one too
there are mods (for pc-player at least)
5:52 ow my ear!
If we ever get Red Dead Redemption lll I hope it features things from the first and second game.
I often have rain all day in rdr2, sometimes it rains constantly for 2 or 3 days
Guess they had to strip whatever features necessary to make sure the horse testicles shrank realistically.
So there difference between Arthur and John where John have a plenty skill that Arthur doesn't have....compensates for the fact that John can't swim....😂😂😂
The funny thing is that John can swim a bit in RDR2 (at least he survives for about 10 seconds) but in RDR1 he dies instantly. Instead of getting better, our boy completely forgot how to swim.😂
@@gamermanofficial it was really just a bad game mechanic, or lack of, instant death was just hiding that RDR had no water physics. Then RDR2 made it cannon that John can't swim.
@@brb1994 The motive was to not cross areas
@@brb1994 They already had one in gta 4, a proper one that is.
or its just them trying to prevent players going to mexico without progressing through the story first
@@brb1994 it wasn't the water physics, gta4 already had great water physics so I don't think it was something rockstar couldn't have done. I think it was more so they didn't wanted the player to explore way beyond the land, because they didn't created any assets beyond that for probably time restrictions. thus we ended up with lore that he can't swim lol
wish they updated rdr2 to add some things from rdr1
LETS GO PC VERSION
Damn It's really confirmed. I can't believe it!
Top feature - RDR1 runs on PS3
Sound design was better too
Rdr 2 is more realistic and rdr 1 is more good but unrealistic things (ps. I Like rdr 2 way lot more than rdr 1)
Great video to post just days before the PC port announcement
Thank you. Yeah, I knew RDR was definitely coming to PC but I never thought they would announce it 2 days after I posted this video 😅. I thought it would come sometime in 2025, now that it's so close I hope some people see this video and realize what a great game RDR1 is.
I find it rather bizarre that duels are still a thing by RDR1’s point in time.
Duels were still a thing well into the 30s, though they were rare.
“Meet me outside” is still fighting words at the bar. What we do about it is all that changed
And even more funny is that RDR2 has like 4-5 duels total in the entire game lol. even though considering it's time, there were still so many outlaws roaming around and there should've been more duels
Bro did you forget combat roll?
Yeah, I missed the barrel roll haha. That's a really cool move.😅👍
In my rdr2 it rains all day everyday
You can fast mount a horse just the same in 2?
Features that dont exist in rdr1
You can hip fire any weapon so its basically barely can be played as western
Maybe RDR2 is designed to be more realistic in some aspects, like a stagecoat employee won't get you anywhere you want, he'll follow a route.
For the 9th point, it's normal, I don't think that the owner would let you kick his chicken for no reason.
Blind fire is downgrade for sure, moving to sides while hanging off a ledge is also one.
But the good thing is that most of this features can be fixed with mods !
I still prefer Red Dead 2. They're both masterpieces to me, but I prefer 2. Sorry not sorry.
So you killed other people's chicken which is private property. And you think you can plead not guilty? I don't think so.
But RDR1 never will have Red Dead Online.
Rdr1 have an online mode
BARREL ROLLLLLL🛢️🛢️🛢️
This too👍
Rdr2 hace fast travel
The law is awful in rdr 2.
Luckily this is what mods are for baby
Rdr2 still is better than rdr1:/
RDR2 is the best game ever made for me. This video is not about which game is better. It just shows some cool features RDR1 has and RDR2 doesn't. That's all. But with these missing features RDR2 would probably be even better and funnier to play. That's why I still enjoy playing RDR1 as much as I enjoy playing RDR2.
Personally I have Red Dead 1 slightly over Red Dead 2, but it's close. On a surface level 2 is the better game, but thats until you include everything that both games offer (multiplayer, dlc, etc.). If Red Dead 2 had the amount of content and support, and a singleplayer DLC, it would clear Red Dead 1
You can 100% blind fire in RDR2. Maybe don’t show just RDR1 for the video either.
Nope, there is hip fire and quick draw/shoot in RDR2, not blind shooting from covers like in RDR1.
