A snow storm! Gayle don’t you know what time of year it is? Oh my! I told Jeff and he said “you just had to leave town, Gayle, and you just had to bring the snow back with you because you love it so!” I told him “ she doesn’t want it now!” And he said “she loves it and that’s all the snow needs to know.”😆. Of course he doesn’t realize that it was awhile back that you went to your first retreat out of town. He can always make me laugh and you always give me a giggle with your humor so I wish I could get you two together because I would have Comedy Central right in my living room! Love your fabric flips, my friend. I just know you are having so much fun! Hi and hugs to you spirit sister. 🥰🦋
I love watching the way you put stuff together..you're so good at it..I love that fabric too...and no I dont think your eyes are bigger than your ability..you rock those projects out when you go on retreats. I hope you're having a blast this week.🤗🤗💜💜
Each of the fabric flips, are so unique 😍 I get excited when you hear me like the light blue lace... 😆 I was thinking that the little birds nest piece on the purple, it could have been made a clever little pocket too. Oh, I would love to have ppl to craft with, what fun!!! Safe travels Gayle. I hope it stops snowing and maybe rains at night. Leaving you with nice spring days!
It's been pouring in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX area for days. Think I'm going to start an ark!!! Fun watching you create your fabric flips. Every time i see that gum wrapper material, I remember all the days as a kid making those chains!! fun memories!!!
My mother and her sister were raised during the Depression, both became school teachers, then home economists. Excuses to go shopping everyday after school!!!! Each had bins and closets and crannies full of crafts and sewing supplies. “SHE WHO DIES WITH THE MOST MATERIAL WINS!” God declared a tie. I can’t wait to see how much you get done! I have started planning the order of projects and loose timelines. It helps me figure out reasonable amount to bring. 😂💙💙💙
Okay..so ya made me go "have a shop"😂😂I love that tim holtz fabric...you already made me fall in love with the cathe holden ones previously..but I got some of those too..gotta love Etsy😉😉💜💜
Sounds weird to me that you are having snow & blizzard conditions & in Georgia we are having unseasonably hot 90+ degree weather. Hot & humid here. Can’t wait to see these journals completed after your retreat.
Hello Gayle! Wow can't believe you are getting snow in May that is crazy, this past weekend we had to put our A/C units in the windows already. Thanks for the video and I hope you are having the best time at your retreat.
I wish I was close to you to come to your retreat or at least one with you! But the snow! Yikes! I love watching you make flips. They are always beautiful and look like they came just the way you sew them. Mine look like a tornado dropped the fabric and I just went with it!
Gayle you are so organized, you’ll be just fine. I love your craft room. I have the same amount of room in my basement, mine is such a mess. Thanks for the inspiration to get My butt in gear and get organized so I can find things. Have fun on your retreat.
I love Cathe Holden’s fabric so much, I believe the one you were thinking of is Flea Market Fresh. Best wishes getting a whole family trip together, (lovely it would be)! I realized along time ago, that with our kids miles apart, varying work schedules, etc., whoever you can see, when you can see them is a bonus! 🥰🇨🇦
Cathe’s fabric is fantastic, do you follow her on Instagram? There’s one she just posted that’s a pattern of ironstone dinnerware oh my gosh it’s beautiful, all white.
Love watching you make fabric flips. It's on my "to do" list over the summer. Along with kazillion other things. LOL I was thinking of you when I heard about the snow in Montana. I hope you didn't have much tree damage. Have fun at your retreat and have a blessed day.
Good morning Gayle. Hope you are having a wonderful time at your retreat. Like many of your subbies.......I WISH I WAS THERE! Where did you get the fabric you call "Abandoned ", as well as the neutral written and printed fabrics? I would love to get these. I love fabrics! Thanks for sharing with us and taking us along your preparations. Love it!
Question: when fabric collaging, do you always layer on... which covers half of a layer sometimes, or do you cut away and save what would be hidden by the layer on top? I am so frugal that I hate to “cover up” anything while I am “layering”!!! Just wondering! This vid was so inspirational... I would like to order all the fab fabrics you used!!! (Said the frugal one!)
I always try to cut the fabric so that the pretty images are at the bottom, so when I layer the top I’m not covering up what I want to see. Hope that makes sense! ❤️
Hi Gayle. I have enjoyed your TH-cam videos. You have given me much inspiration as I am new to junk journaling. I have a couple of questions. Do you wash your fabric before using it? And how would I go about finding retreats that are relatively close by? No one around me has even heard if junk journals.
I don’t wash the fabric first. It’s not going to get wet, so no shrinking will happen. 😁. Ask at your local craft store to see if they know of any retreats or sometimes they are called crops. ❤️
@@gayleagostinelli_ct thank you for your reply. I was concerned about the sizing in the fabric, not shrinkage, but if you've had good success without washing, that's good enough for me. And I have asked at my local craft stores, they weren't helpful which surprises me considering I live in Utah. I'm a recent transplant to this state but isn't this the birthplace of scrapbooking and journaling? 😄
Gayle I checked your favorite things site! Hoping to find where you sourced your fabric! Do you share where we can find some, too? I'm only 3 minutes into your video....so hoping you do! 15:54 Cathe Holden Fabrics!

Hello there Gayle, I am thinking about printing and the cost of ink. Do you have a printing plan? I just bought some XL ink cartridges early this month. I’m already half way through my ink. How are u able to print so much?
I have an Epson EcoTank printer. It prints 4,500 copies before needing ink and the ink is reasonable! They are available on my website (listed in the description box under my videos) under Gayle’s Favorite Things at gayleagostinelli.com/gayles-favorite-things/. ❤️
If you happen to have an HP printer I use the Instant Ink program, it costs me three dollars plus tax a month to print I think 50 copies and I seldom go over but if you go over it’s only a dollar and you can change plans if you think you’re going to print a whole bunch just increase your plan, if you think you’re not going to print much, lower your plan you can do it anytime you want.
You must have been doing some late night answering. I noticed you were hot on my heals with answers 🤭 Doing some research into printers, the one you have is not sold here but there are lots of eco printers. But then I read you have to either use a cd or download stuff from the website onto your computer to install the printer…. I don’t have a computer 😏 So I don’t know. Making me 😵💫 Don’t want to buy a printer if I can’t get it to print because I do not own a computer! Anyway… where did you get the fabrics? 😜 Have fun milady and hope you sleep well without your baby Yoda because I am sure you did not have room for him to come along 😉❤️
