- Today we spent 18 hours at sea as we take a ferry from Coron, Palawan to Manila in the Philippines. This ferry cost 1900 php in the tourist class. this was with 2GO & There is also economy and cabin classes. We got 2 meals as well as entertainment and karaoke included. This was Zoe's first experience of Roro in the Philippines. Do you think more foreigners should choose this transport option in the Philippines?

It's been a while for me. My wife and I were supposed to be on a 2GO ship on a trip from Manila to Bacolod last September but 2GO cancelled the trip because of a coming typhoon. So we had to rebook our RORO trip to a date in November and flew to Bacolod instead. Believe it or not, our November RORO trip also got cancelled because of another typhoon. As of today, we still have the unused tickets. 2GO said we can rebook anytime.
Before when I was in the Ph,I often took roro trip from Iloilo to Manila vv (Philtranco is my suki)but way back then when roro was not available,I took a ferry (NN,Superferry,2go,Sulpicio lines) from iloilo to Manila..Its a good travel then if your not in a rush for Manila’s appointment. Have a safe trip guys!

Do remember the MV Sewol Ho 2014.04.16, South Korea. I personally made the passage across Lake Michigan and from Athens, Greece, to Haifa, Israel.
I prefer travelling by boat or roro as long as the weather is good because I'm prone to sea sickness.the funny part is,I worked as a seafarer for 13 years on a cruise ship and still prone to seasickness.
Oh nooo, that’s a shame! Luckily we don’t get sea sick 🙏🏼 yes it’s so much more relaxing nice to just get fresh air and look around whenever you like 🤩

1.9k compared to 20k that's huge savings. Not all travelers r that wealthy. 2Go also tries 2keep upgrading.Thats also weird bcoz it's closer to MNL.Most prefer plane coz it's jst mayb 3k diff &u get to Cebu n 1hr unless f u bring many things.

I think taking a ferry is a good way to travel between islands in Philippines if you have the time and on budget. I just wish that the ferries in Philippines improve the appearance, comfort and other conveniences to make it a more memorable and fun trip for tourists. 👍🏼❤️
Tbh this was perfect in terms of appearance and comfortability only the food was a bit disappointing! We were actually surprised how many tourists were on this ferry 😊
I should think they normally tells you how many hours to reach your destination? It's okay to travel by ferry if you have time and it's cheaper I would say.

I enjoyed travel by Roro. You get to see so many islands along the way. The difference with your trip guys is that your on the economy fare where your sleeping quarters is in the common area. I traveled in a suite from Bacolod to Manila which was quite private, I had my own bathroom and food was delivered to my suite.

The premium cabins of 2GO are quite nice with 2 queen-sized beds, a private bathroom, a big TV, a small dining table, and a nice view of the ocean.
