With the weight reduction, the weight isn't reduced in their inventory, but the difference is shown when you are carrying them. eg if you gave one metal that weighed 100, it will show in their inventory as weighing 100, but once you start to carry the phoo the addition to your own weight is only 50.
The sinomacrops gets 50% on everything, then still only adds 50% to your weight. Using the same example, 100 metal weighs 300 on you, 150 on it, and only adds 75 when you pick it up.
@@tomfred1972 Sino is my favorite shoulder pet. I prefer flying wyverns and they are great if you accidentally dismount or they are somehow hovering in the air to get up to them to the point you can "ride" them again. Give mine a leather cap because it makes them look like the old pilot hats.
Picked up three of these when i was playing solo. Love em, the glide was great and and we could handle about anything we needed to. Good little mounts for ground scouts.
Do you think a terror bird could handle the Lava cave by just jumping down, then fighting your way up? I think that could be an interesting experiment!
I believe terror birds are the meta for the lava cave for their slow fall to give that extra cushion against the lava pits. They don't have the tankiness of a thyla or regen of a bary, but if you take things one group at a time a TB is a nice, reliable mount. Also they're much more common than either a thyla or bary and easier to tame and breed to boot.
I made this same mistake when checking out weight reduction on otters... and then I remembered that's not how it works. Still get a weight reaction, but only when you carry them... you have to put them down to see their inventory so the only way to know is to hold them empty and hold them full to compare the difference in your carry weight, not theirs.
Great video. I tried terror birds for a bit, the sound got to me after a while. I still find sabertooths fun, even though I have a thlya now finally. And I still think the dire wolves and raptors are fun to take out in packs.
Don't forget terror birds do get pack bonus but wolves are still king for early mounts but as for most small mounts they have bad weight it's just common thing for the smaller creatures also the weight reduction only happens when u put phoo on ur back it cuts there weight by half

I was inspired by your comment about exploring on a mount instead of just flying everywhere. .I usually use my mount around my base area but take my flyer otherwise. But I think you make a great point about exploring on a mount and I plan to do more of it. I thought you liked Iquanadons quite a bit, but this video seems to point towards sabertooths/dire wolves. When would you use one type of mount over another? I'd love to see a video on that. Thanks!
I find it odd that the location of the bite matter for terrorbirds and sabertooths but, when I'm fighting a giga it can bite me with the tip of its tail.
I noticed my seagull won’t munch on small Dino’s for prime meat when I send it on hunt and retrieve only fish works. Yet a wild seagull was able to pick up my dodo and munch it. What’s the deal? Does it realize on a stat I order to pick up certain things other than fish or is it a server setting?
For some reason, my "set target dino color" command isn't working! I finally got a trio of Deinonychus's and I want to give them some colors! Oh also, I found my first unicorn yesterday!
I guess terror birds are not considered as flyers? If that's so then they could be great in some caves with their ability to glide - if that works inside a cave. Stack of mutations on their melee might make them really viable caving mounts.

A small pack of imprinted terror birds (rider plus 2-3) all with saddles .... force to be reckoned with.

I remember the Terror bird you had on Ragnarok Nomads, they were pretty sweet! Definitely a capable mount!
