Love the 30s fashion. Everyone loves the 50s but I fell in love with this era when I did a paper for my Intro to Fashion class. I especially love the escapism that Hollywood films and fashion brought to the era.

I've since consumed massive amounts of information on not just patternmaking but how to construct the piece, where the roots of my inspirations come from, etc.. Please, the way you explain fashion as a "continuum" is excellent and remarkable.
Besides your pronunciation of the English language is remarkably clear and perfect as a natural drop pearl.
It would be an enormous pleasure for us to see how you navigate fashion across time.
    You deserve my best applause.
    Thank you so much.

I’ve been watching videos from historical costumers and fashion historians a lot recently, and it’s so cool and interesting how you all cover fashion history in different ways! You talk about it from more of a business sense and what influenced big trends, while they (especially costumers) talk more about how construction techniques changed and how fashionable silhouettes were achieved. Of course there’s some overlap, but I just think it’s really cool and interesting!

In the 1990s fashion history was required at LATTC. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This series brings back that love of fashion and design from that era. Those movies from that time, The Marx Brothers and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers are some of my favorites for viewing fashion and creating my versions of those designs. Thank You, I will be watching!

Within the context of the 1920s and 1930s, could you do a program about art deco fashions? Were there specific art deco clothes & accessories of significance beyond the principal trends in women's & men's fashions which you describe from the 1920s and 1930s? Was art deco expressed more in accessories than in principal clothing items? Styles of men's neck ties and women's earrings and jewelry developed which had definite art deco elements.

I think it is both Hollywood and economic hard times that created the democratization of fashion. However, I'm going to credit the economy with about 60-65%. Cost was a major deciding factor and 50¢ extra was far more difficult to justify during the great depression. For my Dad's family, an extra 20¢ was hard to justify. I have no idea about conditions in pre WW2 occupation of Korea, so I can't comment on my mother's family perspective.

Those sniggering comments about Paris and Europe being leaders of fashion are incredibly immature. So inappropriate coming from someone who intends to teach others about the facts of fashion history. Europe has always and will always dictate fashion, whether you like it or not. History is objective and can never be subjective, remember that.
