I loved Denise Jackson! I’m so glad she got her golden ticket. Her story is reality to so many and then her families reaction when she walked out was priceless! When she said her grandma is going to be so proud I almost cried lol.
Saying "lol" at the end of your stupid comment was totally unnecessary and doesn't make sense- I mean why would someone's grandmother being proud make anyone laugh out loud??? it just goes to show how people tack those three letters just anywhere for no reason except to show off how they are into internet slang (which I despise anyways) Also Denise Jackson sucked- I repeat she is a show off and smug as hell and cannot sing worth a damn and just shouts with not one note in tune.
I wish Jewel had given that girl a hug and maybe told her to take some lessons and never give up on whatever she dreams of. I was honestly upset and shocked Jewel didn’t get up and hug her. That’s what she should do for someone that truly looked up to her.
@Kyril J I was thinking the same thing. From what I can remember of her, she was nice. She's a snarky bitch now. Maybe it was a facade to get famous and now that she has that, she can let her true colors show.
@Who let the virus out? Woof woof woofhan OH please! Jewell is a good singer and nice person, but she doesn't have to get up and give her a hug. This is her first time being a judge and I'm sure she was a little shocked, she wasn't rude to the girl but maybe Jewell just isn't a hugger, my sister wasn't but she was a wonderful person.
She could maybe improve but she will never be able to have a CAREER in singing....and her parents don't have the guts to tell her that....if they had, it could have saved her a lot of dissapointment and heartache.
@@secretsquirrel7374 Jule didn’t need to come to her. Her parents did that to her. They set her up for failure, so the need to be the ones to comfort her.
I have a new disrespect for Jewel right now. She could have been more merciful towards the girl who considers her the reason why she is inspired to sing. And I love Simon, but instead of rolling your eyes put an exit sign on the right door going out.
Seriously , I've always loved jewel till now. She's a bitch, plain n simple. Plus she isn't even relevant nor has been in forever. She didn't stay in the spot light long , you'd think she'd be greatful by having her number one fan in her presents.
I remember when Jewel said when she first heard herself on the radio she thought that she sounded like Kermit the Frog and took her a while to work through that. She has put in a lot of work through out her career with different styles and vocal techniques. At her level of skill I bet these first time singers sound worse to her than what a non professional singer may think they sound like to them. Jewel always had good feedback for the contestants as far as I could tell the only one giving feedback at a professional level was her so much so the guy next to her just repeated what she said when it came to feedback. Jewel even told the other judges they were rough on them. Put yourself in her position after years of developing her skill, being on the street playing music just to eat, hitch hiking... She put in the time and hardship and it shows in her music. There is a big difference in these sheltered kids acting like the're super stars and the real super stars that are forged from singing through their own journey and hardships sometimes just to eat. To those people their voice is the only thing they have and know no one can take it from them. Every one else needs a judge to tell them whats up. I thought she was very kind and sweet in her position her criticism was always constructive.
Jeez that 16 year old falling to his knees crying because his mom said she was proud got me in the gut. I know what that’s like, I hope he’s accomplished incredible things and found people that support him unconditionally.
The year Taylor Hicks won, was the only year we ever watched. My daughter was 5 and loved Hicks. She tried so hard to stay awake to see him win. I had to wake her up to tell her, she yelled “Yay” then out she went. So sweet.
I think they do it for the humiliation of the contestants that failed, to probably embarrass them even more. Sick, but funny at the same time when you think about it.
Lol it’s sick cause clearly these people already feel shitty then they purposely have the door intentionally set up like that to make more of a fool out of the losing contestants.🤣
Pisses me the fuck off when these no-talent people who can't take a no say "they need to be up here singing". It doesn't take a good singer to recognize a horrible one.
+BloodylocksBathory If Simon and others can't tell tell the difference from talent and non-talent, why have they succeeded in the industry??? People will blame anything but their lack of talent. My favorite, "I didn't get any sleep last night" or "I have a cold." In the real world, you can't cancel your concert because you're not at the top of your game. Jewel stated that with the thirsty guy.
I always feel so bad when they're not good, especially if they're nice people, like the first girl. When they're egomaniacs, or nuts, then it's fine when the judges laugh.
christina mckenzie That's not a bad point. How many of them have told the judges that all their friends and family said what beautiful singers they are? PLENTY! Real friends and loving families don't allow their loved ones to make fools of themselves.
aTruster watch a lot of the idol exposure videos. A lot of people admit to going in knowing they weren't going to make it because they thought it'd give them exposure. They will tell you what to sing when you go in, what to do when you go in, and in some cases they'll tell you what door to open. There are some scenarios where the exchange is completely organic because the auditioned person is legit psycho, but it's rare. This, like any reality show, is scripted. They know which singer is going to win, they know which songs they're going to have the contestants sing, and they know which person they really want to push. Why do you think the winners for Idol for the last few years were nothing but white guys with guitars? That's because it's been the same one person picking the winner every year. The judges are just there for media attention and exposure. Simon was the only judge with some say in who won, which is why when Simon was still there you saw the creation of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, two singers who you still know to this day.
I know better than to attempt to sing in front of anyone else. I sound like a cow with a belly ache. I think it's important to know when you can do something, and vital to recognize when you can't. Cows with a belly ache should not audition for talent shows.
I am the same, singing to my pets, alone in the car or when I am out in the desert is fine. But when singing in front of others I get the advice to always sing tenor, tenor or twelve miles away, or sing solo, solo that no one can hear me. I would only try out for an untalented show. LOL
Jacki Sweetwood Oh, believe me, "sick cow" is being kind to myself. I know better than to even think of singing like this chick. Tomatoes would be flying by the bushel at me! 😄
A lot of people think they're awesome singers but they're crap. Some think they're crap but are awesome. You never know, you might be a really good singer. To make it in this Idol show you either have to be extremely good or extremely bad lol.
I feel so bad for the people who forgot the lyrics even if they can't sing, I have been on stage in front of hundreds of people to speak, and forgot my part of my speech and it's the most embarrassing feeling ever!
The short answer is they are narcissistic and not self-aware. And someone prolly told them to "project," but didn't teach them how to project correctly.
For the same reason People yell and talk loud....to make themselves sound meaner. Louder is always better. It's a form of passive aggression. Singing louder makes them feel stronger in Talent....which they rarely have.
Omg some of them are so deluded. Like the last guy who was singing, dancing and juggling. I think his mother was saying: "Don't worry. You'll be famous." ...no wonder he's throwing a toddler tantrum over critique (as harsh as it was). You still have to keep your wits about you in an audition.
Her parents should have been honest with her before she got there. That said, once your child is crushed it is a parent's job (and should be their instinct) to comfort them.
I feel really bad for Paula here! It looks like maybe she was in pain before she came on and then had taken a pill, not realizing how bad it was going to affect her....
That chick doing the song Kiss, poor thing was so nervous, she was entertaining even though she was too nervous to even recall the words, rhythm, anything. Still she was interesting to watch. Some people get so much stage fright or so star struck it's almost like they have a stroke. That's what it looked like happened to her.
This is just my opinion, but honestly I felt SO bad for the last constant. I actually liked Josh's raspy vocals & I thought he sang 'Bad Day' pretty well. I could tell he was nervous, but that's expected. Then he went through all of that trouble trying to please Simon with a song he had only 15mins to learn. I wish it would've worked out for Josh in the end. I was really rooting for him, poor guy. 💔😞

My thoughts exactly! Such a cold world!🤣
They don't put a sign on it, so...maybe.
I think they only open one door for security reasons so they can't burst back in through the two doors, at least it will slow down a mad burster
Or burst out at full speed I suppose
They should put bullet proof glass up and tell them it's to make it feel like it's a recording booth, there must be security right out of frame
This show would be boring without Simon🤣
it's next three seasons weren't boring, although 12 is disastrous.
That's why it fell apart after Simon left.
*Awesomekat*
You know , you're so right.
And it's also boring without Ryan Seacrest as host.
The series has moved to abc now. Despite me not liking simon I do miss him along with paula and randy. These new judges aren't doing it for me
There is no feeling that can compare to watching Idol during its heyday. What an amazing show that I am always grateful for.
AmishParadise27 (AKA: Tyler) I agree!
It went downhill fast after Simon, Paula, and Randy left.
58:19 is the best part of all of this, seing a 16yrs old boy living a moment of happiness when he made his mom proud... very touching!
Omg I nearly cried when the boy called his mom to say he made it 😢 he said “she’s proud” like that doesn’t happen always and my heart sankkkk
As an Italian, I couldn't understand a single word robe-guy was singing. Lmao

"I've never seen American Idol before because I do not have a broadcast television hooked up at my home"
LOL Just say you don't have a TV.
58:33 this is literally every childs dream, he is so excited just because his parents are proud of him... the little things
Honestly Jessica's auditions made me tear up a little bit when she felt her dream crushed and she had a mini melt down like you can feel her heart break. And she was so nice about it when she left too.
Randy laughing is the best part!!! I lose it every time 🤣🤣🤣😂
That fat girl sounded truly horrible and looked ridiculous, dressed like a 3-yr-old. Why didn't somebody who knows her stop her.
I love his laugh! It cracks me up. I think he’s great as well.
Never laugh and make fun of people trying their best on National TV.
Seriously, God bless the genius who came up with the idea to lock one of the exit doors.
I loved Denise Jackson! I’m so glad she got her golden ticket. Her story is reality to so many and then her families reaction when she walked out was priceless! When she said her grandma is going to be so proud I almost cried lol.
I have heard that kind of sob story told so many times- in my opinion it is just getting stale.
@@claudiakrizay ok bye
I almost cried too because her singing- or more accurately shouting- was so bad and she was so conceited.
@@claudiakrizay lol I agree the audition was eh, her other auditions were all very good and she never made it past Hollywood :/
Kyril J 8
@Kyril J I was thinking the same thing. From what I can remember of her, she was nice. She's a snarky bitch now. Maybe it was a facade to get famous and now that she has that, she can let her true colors show.
I know. She did well on the chorus. She just can’t sing out of her register. She needed a coach, but simon told her she can’t sing. Terrible
Shes a actual bitch
Thank God for grandmothers. Denise got a second chance and took advantage of it. I hope she continues to do well
The guys got more excited than her lol
Denise made me livid because she was full of herself and she shouts the song out and I have heard a million better versions of that song.
Parents did not prepare her for real life. So spoiled. I feel sorry for her.
Girl: *makes lion noises*
Everyone else: 😳
Girl: I’m unique
She’s not like other girls
XxwolfmeetstheskyxX No she’s worst 😂

You could tell Paula was drugged up on her pills
That first girl wasn't the worst I've ever heard out of the rejects...maybe with some vocal lessons she could improve.
She could maybe improve but she will never be able to have a CAREER in singing....and her parents don't have the guts to tell her that....if they had, it could have saved her a lot of dissapointment and heartache.
The worst singer I have heard was the guy that tried three songs including MJackson. You don't even recognise the songs.

'16 years old, I wanted to start out famous!' Now I ask you, Is that too much to ask?
The first girl broke my heart. I can't imagine the pain of being rejected by my idol, doing something I truly love.

Will Mclean or put a sign saying other door
Will Mclean RIGHT ???
@@kristinsrowland8313 A number one fan wouldn't sing the record version of that song.
She's in the wrong business. Acting is more her forte. Are you serious
Listen to your self in a tunnel.
She’s there to judge and that’s what she did. You can’t just be nice and lie to people. There families already did. Some has to be honest.
So sweet.
Is anyone going to put a sign on the that Damm door
I think they do it for the humiliation of the contestants that failed, to probably embarrass them even more. Sick, but funny at the same time when you think about it.
Lol it’s sick cause clearly these people already feel shitty then they purposely have the door intentionally set up like that to make more of a fool out of the losing contestants.🤣
@@lisam6688 Why all of this carrying on about the door?? I mean who gives a damn?
Pisses me the fuck off when these no-talent people who can't take a no say "they need to be up here singing". It doesn't take a good singer to recognize a horrible one.
+BloodylocksBathory If Simon and others can't tell tell the difference from talent and non-talent, why have they succeeded in the industry??? People will blame anything but their lack of talent. My favorite, "I didn't get any sleep last night" or "I have a cold." In the real world, you can't cancel your concert because you're not at the top of your game. Jewel stated that with the thirsty guy.
BloodylocksBathory I agree with you 100 percent. They need to learn that no means no
Fuck, have you ever dated? Most people are like this, except it's not always about singing
Jordin Sparks won this season 6! In May of 2007, she became the youngest contestant to win the competition at just 17 years old.
I always crack up when the crazy lady says: is there anything I can do to improve and Simon says: leave
😀
I always feel so bad when they're not good, especially if they're nice people, like the first girl. When they're egomaniacs, or nuts, then it's fine when the judges laugh.
The first girl sings like Jewel, which is the fucked up part.
tekobari I feel bad for them too but their family should of told them before they went there
christina mckenzie
That's not a bad point. How many of them have told the judges that all their friends and family said what beautiful singers they are? PLENTY! Real friends and loving families don't allow their loved ones to make fools of themselves.

Has anyone else noticed that only the losers push the wrong door?
bc they do it on purpose
Asha They lose on purpose?
+aTruster everything u see on tv is rehersed & practiced. sometimes their giving snareo to improvise with. but its all staged for our entertainment
aTruster watch a lot of the idol exposure videos. Simon was the only judge with some say in who won, which is why when Simon was still there you saw the creation of Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, two singers who you still know to this day.
aTruster LMFAO
Is it bad that I love watching auditions more than the rest of the show?
Nope! That’s all I’m in it for 😂
That's me
Amanda, I am exactly the same way. I don't watch AI after the auditions are over!
I do not envy the judges listening to this all day and weeks.
LOL
Ellie Avenelle but then there are the crazies that think "no one on the radio sounds like a cow with a belly ache. I'm so unique! I should audition"
Haylee Mitchell Hahahahaah! Right! The difference is knowing when one really DOES have the belly ache sound!
Ellie Avenelle--Omg Ellie, your funny! At least your straight up. I bet you dont sound like a sick cow because your honesty sez different!
Jacki Sweetwood Oh, believe me, "sick cow" is being kind to myself. I know better than to even think of singing like this chick. Tomatoes would be flying by the bushel at me! 😄

I feel so bad for the people who forgot the lyrics even if they can't sing, I have been on stage in front of hundreds of people to speak, and forgot my part of my speech and it's the most embarrassing feeling ever!
why do people think if they sing louder it makes them better?!?!
The short answer is they are narcissistic and not self-aware. And someone prolly told them to "project," but didn't teach them how to project correctly.
I knowwww! I've said that over and over!

No, it's called comforting someone you love.
They are being supportive. You clearly have never had that.
Her parents should have been honest with her before she got there. That said, once your child is crushed it is a parent's job (and should be their instinct) to comfort them.
That’s an example of someone being coddled all their life.

Donna DeFelice Finally! Someone that fng understands what she was going through!
