    I love you. I needed this today. My mom bought me some clothing yesterday. She couldn’t really afford to do it but she did it because she was showing me love. I saw a girl on Instagram today who got her hair done. Her dad has a great job and I got jealous. Then I felt guilty because my mom had just given me nice new clothing and I felt so ashamed. I need to be humbled, and I need to show gratitude.

      Marisol González What really helped was trying to focus on what I’m doing, rather than big generalizations about who I am. I could look at the things I had done in a day objectively. I could decide that they were good or bad without letting that spiral into “wow I’m a lazy bad person” or “wow I can’t believe you’re congratulating yourself you’re not as great as you think you are” which is how my thoughts would have spiraled before. It allowed me to still work on my behavior and improve myself without falling into a self hating trap. It still takes work, I have to consciously monitor my thoughts and make sure I’m not being too negative. It will be an ongoing process, but it made me a lot happier 😁 I hope this helped! Good luck to you!

      that is exactly what self-love IS NOT. It is not self-esteem/love if it is conditional. That is exactly the philosophy of the insecure overachiever. Because the moment you do nothing and don’t „produce“ you are worthless? That is what the philosophy means

    I recently discovered your channel and blog and have become quite grateful for it. I’ve always felt a push back against embracing a traditional/feminine/homemaker lifestyle because of the belief that I couldn’t embrace that. “But I’m not Christian,” “but I’m too much of a tomboy,” “but I’m supposed to be ‘independent’,” but, but, but.
    You’re gentle and encouraging, yet bold, unapologetic, and straightforward. Most importantly, you’re welcoming.

    With Confidence it is also to remind yourself that everyone is going through things, everyone is up in their own heads worrying about themselves. Once you realise this it is so easy to walk around with ease and assured in who you are. Everyone is human. With any scenario that scares you, ask yourself the simple question ‘What is the worst outcome that can happen from this situation’, usually it isn’t half as bad as we make it out to be! Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real, Challenge yourself everyday and you will step into a Confident Person. All the love and incredible video, Thank you x

    I think the biggest problem with low self-esteem is that you start to be aggressive, and mostly passive-aggressive, which is the biggest reason why more and more people will turn away from you. If a person shows low self-esteem, there will definitely be well-meaning people stop to help her, but if she starts to choose to give up on herself and choose to start passive-aggressive, she is basically pushing the healthy life she could have had farther and farther.

      Wow thx I needed to hear that! I’m 15 and I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with me so I watch videos on self confidence or how to deal with anxiety or stuff like this cause I can’t point out what I have.. I im not typically a jealous person and I usually do good and appreciate stuff but recently this month that’s kinda changed and I’m not sure why.. like for starters my friends especially this one friend wants to make me feel constantly bad and i just dont understand why. I posted a picture and she said nothing and simply ignored it “it was on a chat”. Friends are supposed to build u up not knock u down. This makes me sad because we have great memories together and I’m a introvert so it’s hard sometimes to make friends but we have good memories and I don’t want to lose her as the friend in those good memories. She makes me feel bad about myself and tries to make jokes out of rude remarks. Maybe it’s cause I can’t “hang” with her and her jokes but I know she does not mean them from all fun and games, I just wish I could do something about it. I’m not sure if I should talk to her about it or if she will say I’m sensitive or jealous or whatever it is whenever I try to say something that I feel like she needs to change.

      @@strawberrydaurto3366 My daughter is your age and she is an introvert and has anxiety. Just remember going to school, at that age is just weird and awkward for just about everyone. Finding out who you are, what you like, don't like and WHO is a forever friend and just a teacher on life's journey are all things you have to learn. You are ahead of the game though- the fact that you are aware of what your feeling and recognizing what self-respect is and wanting people around who support that.

Also, I had started putting on weight again and was feeling gross. When I stopped constantly seeing others who were much skinnier than me the weight started coming off easier. I had always wanted to have clothes that are the latest trend or 'aesthetic' but after getting into videos about being classy and being feminine and embracing myself as a woman, my mindset changed. One video i watched, she said something like "Don't change your body for the clothes you want but change your clothes to match your body" and that really made me think. I had been the 'change-your-body-for-the-clothes -you-want' but now im changing that. It's really making me feel good and made me accept myself more now.

    I was so sad since a few week. About my face and everything about me cos my mom keeps comparing me from other girls. Like her beauty standards are so high. Everytime I achieved them she would set them more high and point out all my flaws. I literally cried to be the best and faced so many insecurities. After watching this I feel so much better. I love you so much. Thank you so much. I am gonna thank you and God for everything and also increasing my self esteem. I really want to tell every girl out there. You are beautiful and perfect the way you are. If you are feeling crappy about yourself. Please know you are loved and god has created you in the most perfect manner he could.

    I’ve struggled with low self esteem because I have battled between wanting to be like friends that I’ve had that are more like the Instagram baddie/model type and seeing the attention they get, especially from guys. Meanwhile, I know it’s not really the kind of attention I want or God would want for me, but I sometimes can’t help but feel like I’m never going to find someone that looks at me as that kind of beautiful (sexy) in practicing complete feminine elegance. So, essentially I’m tied between wanting to be moral-driven and having a fear of missing out and not fitting in, and feeling less beautiful because of it. I’m just lost in finding my true self.

    • @chickenlittle4014
      @chickenlittle4014 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is exactly me I wanted to look like “friends” who were the Instagram model amazing dresses looking type and left real great trust worthy friends I had. And I noticed I need to let go of that and that I don’t need to looks certain way and be like them and have everything that they have. I can be free and be myself. And I’m trying to reach back out to my friends that I’ve been confident around and trust without needthing their approval like it flows naturally and I’m fine being myself but people say don’t reply on people for your self esteem but how do I find the correct friends and path ? It’s so hard because when I let go of wanting ti be and thinking I need to dress like a Instagram model and just be grateful being myself

    I'm so glad I came across your channel.. I've always wanted a good role model on femininity...And you share them so perfectly.. Growing up in a house full of men, I've always been confused if I appear too weak, delicate or fragile and to combat that i try to be more tough as a kid, always wanted to be better than my brothers😂😂 but most of the time my feminine nature takes over😂 and I'm back to square one...however as years pass by I've learned to accept my feminine nature/energy as it is.. thank you so much.. I'll keep you in my prayers too😊♥️♥️♥️

    Someone said that the mother's love (this is all typical generalisations) is unconditional and feeds a child their understanding of intrinsic value, whereas the father's love is conditional in the sense that he loves you for who you could be, and that tomorrow you could always be a better person. And when you mentioned that as people we need to build things to be proud of, I think of what fatherlessness has robbed both sons and daughters (especially sons who need confidence in this world-- that push to become better than they are today and building a reliable track record for themselves and how they carry themselves in tight situations, being resourceful and whatnot). Its all complementary: the unconditional mother's love that reinforces intrinsic value, and the conditional father's love that reinforces potential and what you're going to do with that potential for tomorrow and for yourself. Love love love this video!

    I totally agree with you that not obsessing or indulging in heightened emotional states greatly improves your mood and decreases negative feelings. Just because you have moments when you have a negative emotion, does NOT mean the thought/emotion is true and you don’t need to entertain those thoughts that make you feel awful. It’s amazing how simple it is to improve the stability of your mood, it just takes practice. I had really bad anxiety and this has helped a lot with reducing those levels of anxiety. Also, as you said, feeling gratitude is key to happiness. Everyday I feel so grateful. I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy, and I get to stay home with baby. I’m so happy to be able to be a housewife/SAHM :). I really enjoyed this video because it’s not a common opinion, as you mentioned most people are self obsessed with “loving themselves” no matter what rather than improving. Great content and very original.

    sadly i stopped watching when it became apparent it was "women focused" not because of the content or target audience, just that i felt unwelcome being a guy, like i was peeking at some inside secrets not meant for me...haha. maybe i'll get over myself and pick up where i left off haha. it would be cool if a subject such as self worth was aimed at everyone as it is bigger than gender, but i understand. much love
