Gotta love how still, calm and measured JJ is. There’s no forcing, rushing the process, just gradually eating his prey. Poetry in motion; not a Joule of wasted energy.
Beautiful! This is why I like to roll with higher belts, older guys. Slow and controlled. No fast spazzy movements which so often cause accidental injuries. This is how to do it guys. As the Gracies say "Keep it playful!". Oss!
still a white belt, less than 10 sessions in 3 months but i learn so much from these vids and apply them on the mat (usually not as smooth or even correct). biggest thing i need to learn is when to use energy vs when to be in the moment
@ 0:19 isn't he giving his right arm to the bigger guy? In a different video he says keep your elbows tucked to your body. That isn't a frame, so I can't understand why he's putting his arm there.
Develop it. You’ll be amazed at how effective it is because so few people are good at it, and consequently few are good at defending it. I got mine from watching JJ’s videos and started using it. Now it’s one of my go to’s.

Respect the use of the joule
You are the JJM of TH-cam comments.

Leads to long careers.
The ease at which JJM is able to transition from a bad position is amazing. He makes it look so effortless.
So crazy that JJM can make another black belt look like a beginner, no disrespect to that black belt of course.
I so appreciate the mid roll teaching moments
What's truly impressive is that JJ has adapted his game / style around not having full use of his left hand.
Like Indigo Montoya.
These are the best! Keep em coming.
So masterful and what an honor for the person to be rolling with JJM.
Thank you for uploading sparring clips. Please could you do more of jean jaques sparring
He makes everyone look like a white belt
the hardest thing about JJ is relaxing and breathing.
A masterclass in smooth movement and energy efficiency
You can hear someone talking about shitting their pants @ 3:55 LOL
These sparring videos are fantastic though, thank you for sharing!
nice catch lol
Fundamental rolling! This was a clinic!
At 4:49, he spins big dude like he is playing with a child. lol
I wish he was my professor. He seems like such an amazing person and truly passionate and detailed teacher.
hey im new to bjj and i really like the way you teach and stuff, you are amazing. thank you for doing the videos

Thank you
Really enjoy these rolls 🤙
Crazy how much you can learn just by watching him roll

Beautiful rolling.
Amazing. You make this look so easy lol
Love how he always starts from bottom side control
Mestre Machado, excelencia! oss!
Making a black belt look like a white belt
Big Jim
Totally ridiculous... Makes it seem so effortless... But when I try that... Lol. 🤣
At 0:46 was not an actual sweep
Effortless sweeps!
Man, this guy is a black belt and JJM makes him look like a blue.
Jean doesn't give a fuck what position he's in....he also treated that black belt like an invalid.
I have absolutely no butterfly guard game and that’s been a major weakness

Expert
I feel like only JJM should be allowed to wear the red Gi
I have a question, I have a severe problem with cardio because of a heart valve defect. What do you guys do to work around stuff like that?
Find a cardiologist that does jiu-jitsu or something similar. Don't ask the internet.
anyone know how JJ lost his fingers?
Didn’t lose them. He was born like that.
Looks better at 1.5X speed, but I can say that because this is how I roll too :)
amazing. it is dancing.
I wish I could have a feel..
Is he really having to teach this dude how to shrimp?
And that's the difference between a black belt and a red belt 😲😬🤦🏽♂️
1st
Is that what's passing for a black belt these days? No offense, but I'm not impressed by that fella.
