    Gotta love how still, calm and measured JJ is. There’s no forcing, rushing the process, just gradually eating his prey. Poetry in motion; not a Joule of wasted energy.

    Beautiful! This is why I like to roll with higher belts, older guys. Slow and controlled. No fast spazzy movements which so often cause accidental injuries. This is how to do it guys. As the Gracies say "Keep it playful!". Oss!

    The ease at which JJM is able to transition from a bad position is amazing. He makes it look so effortless.

    So crazy that JJM can make another black belt look like a beginner, no disrespect to that black belt of course.

    I so appreciate the mid roll teaching moments

    What's truly impressive is that JJ has adapted his game / style around not having full use of his left hand.

    still a white belt, less than 10 sessions in 3 months but i learn so much from these vids and apply them on the mat (usually not as smooth or even correct). biggest thing i need to learn is when to use energy vs when to be in the moment

    @ 0:19 isn't he giving his right arm to the bigger guy? In a different video he says keep your elbows tucked to your body. That isn't a frame, so I can't understand why he's putting his arm there.

    I have absolutely no butterfly guard game and that’s been a major weakness

    • @darylkenny4562
      @darylkenny4562 ปีที่แล้ว

      Develop it. You’ll be amazed at how effective it is because so few people are good at it, and consequently few are good at defending it. I got mine from watching JJ’s videos and started using it. Now it’s one of my go to’s.

    I have a question, I have a severe problem with cardio because of a heart valve defect. What do you guys do to work around stuff like that?

    • @ryanlynch290
      @ryanlynch290 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Find a cardiologist that does jiu-jitsu or something similar. Don't ask the internet.

    Is that what's passing for a black belt these days? No offense, but I'm not impressed by that fella.
