Poni Island is one of the best parts of any game ever. It actually feels like you were on an adventure with Lillie, really made it feel like the anime tbh
@@louish5068 It's one of the best and least talked about aspects of the game tbh. It really makes you feel like you're actually going on a fun adventure and not just playing a video game.
I love that part where Lillie got attacked by Murkrow. I thought I had to go and rescue her, and I was really surprised that she made it past them. She had somehow transformed into a different person, and I was happy about that.
@Marav Reviews off the top of my head, I can think of a certain orange-haired lawyer who looks somewhat similar to Sonia that goes through a lot more character development-
People talk about how the culmination of her character being running past some birds is lame or unfulfilling, but if you think about it your character never really had to deal with pokemon by himself. A murkrow can pretty easily kill you if it wanted and you had no pokemon to protect you
Honestly one of my favorite themes ever in any Pokémon game. The alola soundtrack is my favorite. It's truly the first ever "exotic" and tropical region. Hoenn kind of was. I love poni island too. If I could live anywhere in the pokemon world it would probably be on poni Island. It's nature alone is wild.
I can just imagine Masuda and the other composers of this game just headbanging and jamming out to this banger in the studio whilst developing the soundtrack; so epic.
Pokemon Moon was my first exposure into the Pokemon World. I remember getting stuck in this area for the longest time, as I didn't know how to progress. And then I figured out that you just needed to walk on the tree branches... I wasn't a smart kid.
Still love the way the intro sounds like it’s about to be a sort of aesthetic trek through an ancient path as you push forward, and then like 5 seconds later it turns into an absolute bop
@@urick15 uh...considering Sun and Moon and USM are literally alternate versions of the same events at the same time I highly doubt thats the reason. ^^'

Perhaps it's related to the fact that before Sun and Moon I didn't play a single pokemon game for years, but still they are some of my best memories in the franchise, and maybe all those "critics" are just wasting their time trying to compare every game to each other when it's so much about our individual adventure

Nope. Go to the Falcom Music Channel. Their soundtrack from the Kiseki and Ys series are the best. My favorite is The Azure Arbitrator from Ao no Kiseki (Trails to Azure).
@lobster Bruh it's pure opinion. I don't like the songs from Ao no Kiseki, they sound to "casual" for me. But when you hear songs from nintendo you know that this sounds very "nintendoish", only true masters of music can achieve this.

The amount of counterpoint and rhythmic complexity (2:3 polyrhythm, yikes!) in this track alone could have made Bach blush. There's so many distinct melodic and harmonic lines moving interdependently, but somehow it doesn't feel disorienting, mainly because they're all following a similar flow and congruent rhythmic pattern. overall.
