Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, and the “Kyoto Trail”, a trail course runs through the mountains surrounding Kyoto City. I will try to complete this 83.6 km course.
Continuing from the previous video, this time I walked the Higashiyama course from Keage to Philosopher's Path.
The starting point is Kyoto Municipal Subway Keage Station. The cherry blossoms at the Keage Incline were in full bloom. After passing through the Keage Incline, I walked through Hyuga Daijingu Shrine, Shichifukushiandokoro, and went to the summit of Mt. Daimonji.
After that, going down the mountain, pass through Romon waterfalls, Zuikoin Temple, I finally arrived at Philosopher’s Path. The cherry blossoms on Philosopher's Path were also in full bloom. The goal is at the intersection of Shirakawa-Imadegawa.
This enjoyable 2-hour excursion allowed me to experience nature and history different from the usual Kyoto.

I lived in Tobakaido behind Tofukuji, and 4 years in Kyoto. I am enjoying your walk but it is very complicated, if we cannot read the Japanese signs. It is complicated if you can read the Japanese signs too maybe. The course is very twisty and windy, but I am enjoying this from my house in Vancouver. Vancouver is like Kyoto because we can see the mountains from almost anywhere in the city. And Kyoto is very hot and humid too, but I miss it. Thanks for walking for us.

Thank you for watching my video and also thank you for your comments.
You lived in Kyoto for 4 years! By watching my video, I hope you were able to see the streets where you used to live. As you know, summers are hot and humid, and winters are cold in Kyoto, so spring or autumn is the best season to walk Kyoto trails. Japanese signs might be difficult for foreigners, and sometimes difficult for Japanese, too.
My understanding was that Vancouver was a port city, and I am surprised to hear that Vancouver has many mountains. Vancouver must be rich in nature, and I wanna go to Vancouver in the future!
