i love NRAAS story progression but not only does it make my game lag it makes it crash too so i haven’t been using for months. i totally agree with the micromanage part it helps me not focus on the entire town and more so my household’s life when i don’t use SP.
yes🤍 literally i micromanage whenever i play ts2 & it makes sense due to the fact each household runs on “your” time. but yes SP causes lag because it runs in the background as you are playing in the world, each module adds more lag 🥲
I see where you're coming from - and in the end it's of course a matter of preferences - but I personally disagree. Vanilla story progression (the one in game options) has been fundamentally broken pretty much since the release but with updates it became even worse. Absolutely nothing happens in inactive families except from aging, so at one point your town just becomes a nursing home mixed with pudding face clones. You have to have simler90's core mod for the vanilla story progression to actually progress the town or get SP/AwesomeMod with their own progressions. That being said, I can absolutely see how you can play rotationally without using SP! As for notifications, for me they're both a pro and a con but the thing is that they can be easily adjusted or even completely turned off. Same for modules: while they do indeed provide more diversity and customization, you don't necessarily need them for your town to have basic progression. But, once again, it of course comes down to personal preferences and styles of playing + the capabilities of your computer! ♦️
i don’t disagree! i believe your statement is valid here, because this was my head space for a long time with SP, I was like I cannot play without it! but i think that’s due to the fact I wanted to micromanage everything that happened in my world 😭 but after awhile I just didn’t “care” per say what was going on with the other sims in town, i wanted to know once i got to their household!

Of course if you choose rotation gameplay or something similar, you don't really need SP because you yourself become the story progression!

im going to try playing sims 3 without story progession! Also i feel things happen way too much. Couples breakup and recouple everyday like this is not love island lol.
i was holding off installing simler90 core mod because i thought i couldn't live without SP (which conflict with simler90core mod). part of this is because the youtubers i watch always mentioned SP in their must have mods videos and honey i was influenced XD. but then i decided to take SP out & install simler90 core mod & honestly i enjoyed my gameplay better. i can still know who's dating who the organic way by asking if the sim is single, which is more realistic than just a notification. plus rotational play is something i'm really into rn. imo it's worth switching SP out for simler90 core mod :3
yes, see i would definitely recommend simler90’s mod because it helps & runs better! i was definitely influenced into keeping SP in my game because it added elements of gameplay. but after awhile i was like i don’t care about all the extra stuff & i like being shocked & surprised when i go visit other families in the town 😅
I wanted to take out SP in my game for awhile since it was slowing down my game, however, I really thought I couldn't play the way I wanted without it LOL. This video definitely encouraged me to see what it was like taking it out and I realized the way I play (micromanging my town lmao), I really didn't need it! My game isn't as laggy anymore and I actually turned off EA SP altogether. I am looking into the simler90 core mod now! Thank you

Im in desperate search for a good story progression mod that´s on one hand better than vanilla story progression but also not as extreme (and laggy) as NRaas story progression

@ i have heard that too, so to combat that i play “rotationally.” i actually have a new video coming out tmr that explains that process, it’s not much but it goes over i how i play my worlds to help combat the “ghost town syndrome” 🤍😊

Hi, my sim is elder and retired but she doesn’t get the payment. I’m not sure if it's related to Nrass mods. Can you help me to solve this problem? Do you have any idea? 🥲
after looking into this issue, I would say it is not necessarily related to NRAAS (I might be wrong here), but it could be a glitch with the game itself. you can try reinstalling NRAAS and loading up that save to see if the sim receives their pension, if they do not I would say it is a glitch within the game or possibly another mod causing the issue (again I am not completely sure, I rarely play with elders unfortunately). hope this helps!

Use Supreme AI mod by Boring Bones, this will do the job that SP does without any lag or these crazy dialogues

i would definitely recommend using simler90’s core mod to help with SP, it uses the default EA SP but it fixes a lot of different problems! 🤍
