Thanks RACHEL. This is like having a teacher 24 hours at day. I have been studying your videos for four months and my English is better every day. My Friends ask me if I have travelled abroad lately, my answer is Rachel's videos. Thank you so much!!
Rachel, that's great, interviewing journalists and sharing some examples of words that are tricky to pronounce. I was going to study Journalism after High School, but then I decided to study Business International. I don't know why but I also have problems with words that have the R, it's not really a problem though, I just have to pay attention to it when I'm speaking. A lot of my friends here in Brazil loves your TH-cam Channel. You're our best Teacher.
Dear Rachel (I am a foreing speaker). This broadcaster thing is by far ahead of other youtube channels because is REAL people, and they are role models. Should I point out a microcriticism? Let the interviewed talk without interrupting them. If necessary edit later. Congratulations for such a good idea... and I humbly encourage you to go on on? the same path. Interview interesting people about language, not only broadcasters. You' do a great job. Greetings from abroad :)
It's amazing how we have in our own language expressions that we haven't heard yet. This happens in portuguese, my mother tongue, and of course, it must happen in all languages all around the world. I think that happens especially in big countries, such as The U.S., Brazil, Canada, China and so on.
Hi Rachel! first of all, I have to thank you for recording these "Interview a Broadcaster! "series. then again I have a problem in 4:12 with the word "adjective". I can hear /æd͡ʒɛdɪv/ !!!! ajedive !!! just I could realize flap T in the last part of the word. thank you so much.
Hey Rachel!I'm a financal analyst from Vietnam. My English is not good so I wanna learn more it. Can you tell me some of people who teach Economic English, please!
Well, sometimes I hear RURAL and it sounds like WHIRL to me . The context might tell me that is WHIRL wind even if it sounds like RURAL wind to me. Odd, isn't it?
This dude has some problem with the [ɹ] sound. Rachel, you should've written [ɹɹˑɹɫ] or /ɹɜːɹ(ə)l/ because you pronounced that way not like /ɹʊɹ(ə)l/. It' very similar to the variations for the word 'sure': /ʃʊɹ/ and /ʃɜːɹ/ ... and rarely in AmE: /ʃɔːɹ/.
I recently follow Rachel's, this was recorded 6 years ago but it is very good. Rachel's .... Siempre excelente .
Thanks again Alonso!
