When I was 18 I bought a 70 model road runner from my Mom for 600 bucks, it was in perfect condition, 6months later it had a 4sp instead of auto, I put a positive track rear end in it out of a 60 model dodge truck, it went under the leaf springs and that set it up perfect in the back, No Air shocks needed, Took the 11in clutch and pressure plate out of the old truck and that baby was right, 383magnum, have no Idea what gears i was running but it really set that car a side from the rest, It weighed 3800lb, I put tires off a jeep Cherokee, 16in snow tires, Dropped the air pressure down to 20lb, I drilled holes in the rims and put wood screws in threw the rim into the tire where they seal, To keep from spinning inside the tire and it going flat, Last thing you want is a tire coming off spinning over 100mph, Been there done that, lol, not pretty, Anyway when I really laid it on, I could pull the left front tire 16in off the ground, Two more than the right side, First time Broke Motor a mount , Hey we were poor, A Chain did the job, To this Day that car holds the record for the baddest ride ever in these parts, Its a legend around here, Was never out run, Honest Truth, unless you would count me racing a fast back and my clutch was burned out, He did get me that day, The next week i half tracked him in a quarter mile, Hell we were so poor that i would take two burned out clutches and take the pads off the good side and put them on another one and used roofing tacks for rivets, Hey it worked,,I did go through a lot of clutches, Best memories of my life, Especially when my Grand son ask me how i knew it was blue when everything was (Black and White) when i was young, First real Heart to Heart with my Grand Baby, I said Son it was Simple , It said so on the inside Door Panel,,,,Lol Great Days!
Thats one sweet road runner.Knew a guy that had a 68 plymouth roadrunner with a 426 / 4 speed. 4.10 posi and that car wiped the floor with everything turned against it.Camaros ' chevelles ' cudas ' chargers you name it.Mopar muscle
Remember it like yesterday. Stood with the Mancini Boys watching this cacophony of rubber smoke, and the looks on peoples faces. Its a downriver crowd. I knew most of them had no idea what a 426 HEMI on steroids', was capable of doing. That day was a true testament to Mancini/Godfather Racing. Lots of fun. Would have been better if we could have cruised down to Sibley and Dix, for timeslips. RIP Dan, and Detoit Dragway.
Gotta love the sound of a hemi. I gotta drag mine out and get some work done on it. I got a built 69 dodge superbee. It’s been sitting for a while. Gonna get back to work on it this weekend most likely
This is a very Sweet Road Runner. One b Bad Ass Hemi. Sweet Cornet Bad Ass Dodge.Too. Love the 65 Dodge Hemi Too Love All Hemi's the 68 Runner My best one I had a 68 383 4 speed just like it. Blk inside. Nice 64 Plymouth Hemi. Bad Ass 300 Too.
@omgwtf440 thanks, there are 2 68's roadrunners in the video and 2 69's and these cars can be seen in other videos on youtube doing better burnouts by typing in Dawg House or Godfather Racing in the search, there just not HD. You haft to remember that safety always comes first when there's a lot of people around and this is not a competition, as you can see it's just for fun!!!!
its cute how they try to do a skid like an australian , even with all that horsepower , couple of years i will post video when i am done with mine :) my dart isn't even in primer yet a lot of work , so i can appreciate these cars :)
Lotsa people with a big tire budget + Linelock (or wasted rear brakes). My 340 car won't spin the rear tires. Every time I try, it just lifts the front tires (I'm not kidding). Still, the hemi cars were nice. :)
The way I understand it, the kids weren't at their desks, they were on the floor, freaking out, while the gunner picked them off as he felt he needed to, over an hour+!! Maybe we should have a talk about where were the cops?... besides arresting parents who wanted to go in and protect their kids!!!
Sound do the burnout the other way. Empty grass field pass the fence. But That a high speed busy road if your throttle get stuck or you bounce off a car and get on the hwy high speed impact. Logic keep you alive pass 30
I wish to have something like that one day, but it makes me feel good that there are people out there who actually can enjoy these beasts.

That 300C on the end can't hold a candle to all the classics.
Great cam

That yellow Road Runner has a 528 crate Hemi. I put one of those in a 65 Coronet Post car!
If you really want to light em up, do a bleach burnout! It's old school, from my time!
That’s a BIG lady directing the burnouts!!!
I absolutely love the Plymouth Road Runner, even over the Charger, price/speed no matter.
Really nice video of muscle cars with hemis burning out!

nice mopar really , RADICAL sounding hotrod guy
Love the post 68 roadrunner & 69 post yellow RR & the black 69 RR
Great video
With cars like that one doesn't have time for a mid-life crisis.
+mattm1495 That's because they are the ones with the money, what do you drive junior?
You can outrun it
These guys have probably owned their Mopars since they were in high school, so no mid-life crisis there...
I know some of those guys by name and they had those cars when i was in high school and they got about 10 years on me
Wow awsome I didn't know there were that many hemi birds still alive mopar or no car
Garter around the tac? Haha, badass car.
WOW thanks a lot guys.....
Those are some Sweet Hemi Burnouts! Nice video.
WHY CAN'T CAR COMPANIES STILL MAKE THESE TYPE OF CARS!!!!!
Simple answer... GOVERNMENT!!!
To the time police.
I know this is a 9/10 yr old thread.
Ok, now that my disclaimers in place I’ll answer your question.
Because their idiots !
@@patrickm.8425 yup lol.

Love them Hemi's burning out! Wish I had 1. :)
Starting at 8:00 it's showing a motor with what I guess is a polished aluminum intake, it looks way bigger than an intake, any info about it?
you can sure bet that after these guys got home, they cleaned out the rear wheel wells
The True sound of POWER 🎉
Top of the food chain right there.
@omgwtf440 thanks, there are 2 68's roadrunners in the video and 2 69's and these cars can be seen in other videos on youtube doing better burnouts by typing in Dawg House or Godfather Racing in the search, there just not HD. That 67 Coronet was brutal . They all were but that was sweet .
The red 64 ~ was totally wicked
Nice to see proper burnouts in proper cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only ausies do proper burnouts.
nice birds!!!!
"...throttle linkage sticks..." Turning the ignition key counterclockwise usually takes care of this real quick.
same car as my brothers drag roadrunner beautiful
A couple of good examples of the Mopar "Rat Roaster" intake manifolds......wonder if they still make 'em?
thats a well done burnout 3:39
How can this get a thumbs down beautiful muscle cars . Give me the smoke!
Hemi love...
Pop them popcorn dawg!!!
@tucsonautodetailing thanks!
Thanks
Nice machines.

If Im correct thats the Dawg House in Titusville Florida
Nothing like the sound of a Hemi at Full tilt
Music to my ears
3:53, Where did the sun go?
its cute how they try to do a skid like an australian , even with all that horsepower , couple of years i will post video when i am done with mine :) my dart isn't even in primer yet a lot of work , so i can appreciate these cars :)
Amazing Uau !!!
@OutlawAnglia123 Thanks
nice video :)
Something tells me the one guy with the mullet was the host of the show and had multiple cars.
What is the rear tire size?
I want one of those !
how much horse[ower is it pushing
The chrome airfilter just seperates the hemi from everyones else engine
Not to mention the plugs in the covers and the 2 carbs
How to choose? Watching the RR, Coront ragtop...
what size rear tire?
Alright Allllrighhttt!!
Where is this place?
Is that a cross ram ?
Or a short ram depending who's naming it....
I wonder if these are the Mopar guys that lived on schoenher in Sterling heights that had a ton of mopars in old garages
9 years ago. Same people, same cars? Why is this still on?
FKN LOVE IT CHEERS! fROM aMSTERDAM, tHE NETHERLANDS!!!
109 DISLIKES....109 MUPHETS THAT DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF history.....AND MUSCLE CARS....@5-22-21
Matter a fact just like this blue one at 6:15!
Yeah, to protect the tires. How does it sound to you buying new tires for each show?
Lotsa people with a big tire budget + Linelock (or wasted rear brakes). My 340 car won't spin the rear tires. Every time I try, it just lifts the front tires (I'm not kidding).
Still, the hemi cars were nice. :)
Where are the burnouts?
Was this in Michigan? If so, where?
where's roadrunner ,super bee 6 pack, 440 challenger?
The way I understand it, the kids weren't at their desks, they were on the floor, freaking out, while the gunner picked them off as he felt he needed to, over an hour+!! Maybe we should have a talk about where were the cops?... besides arresting parents who wanted to go in and protect their kids!!!
@ 5:45 What the hell is that?? never seen this kinda setup before
A 413 or 426 max wedge
426 hemi cross ram manifold
music?
what's the car at 6:10
+NaruSaku2006 its a comet
+NaruSaku2006
1965 Dodge Coronet. "Comet" was from Mercury -- no Hemi.
+EdWatts 1967 Coronet R/T
+Ignignokt Mooninite Sorry .. Misread that as 3:10
+Ignignokt Mooninite
1965 tail lights, and the single-circuit master cylinder gives it away as pre-'67.
maybe next year they can leave the drag slicks at the drag track and bring some tires they can burn up ausie style lol
💪
song name please
Very cool hemi burnouts. But doesn't look like the safest event. God forbid a throttle linkage sticks and the car goes into traffic. Or a spectator
Awsum!! Kinda arouseing
Bob, you could have shut the traction control off and really sent it home in 4th gear
Sound do the burnout the other way. Empty grass field pass the fence. But That a high speed busy road if your throttle get stuck or you bounce off a car and get on the hwy high speed impact. Logic keep you alive pass 30
Keep buying them tires....... Been there.....
