With how much Toya is reminding me of Kanade in this event, i feel like Toya and Kanade have a lot of parallels. Both of their fathers were music composers, but Kanade's father was supportive on Kanade's dream to become a composer like him as long as it made Kanade happy and that it was what she wanted. Meanwhile Toya's father pushed him to become a classical musician when Toya was younger without regard for his own wishes, and was unsupportive when Toya wanted to become a street musician instead. But both Kanade overall and Toya especially in this event, feel the need to take on a burden when composing music and will push themselves over the limits without taking a break just to meet the expectations and wishes of others

I believe this event chronologically is taking place around the same time as Burn My Soul (I think it was called that) that could explain Akito struggling in this chapter
ahhh poor touya :( as i was worried about, he's overworking himself like crazy... don't get me wrong i love ken-san but i'm kind of mad at him for putting So Much pressure onto everyone. touya has literally written like. one song since he got back into composing, and this would be a huge job for anyone but especially someone who hasn't done it a whole lot. it's pretty interesting that this takes place at the same time as bms though. like, the story of this event is why touya was so exhausted in bms chapter 3... i can't think of another time where two events have run during the same timeframe so that's kinda cool
Mrs Aoyagi addressing her son respectfully is reminding me of Yor Forger's Anya-san I feel a shudder when he uses keigo with his father (I mean at home you can chill most sayings right?) it's maybe why he addresses the girls by their last names till date
If you want a genuine answer, I think it's likely related to the side stories of the new cards. Toya's, An's, and Kohane's are all related to their familial dynamics and music. But for Akito... we aren't really shown this much at all. His parents aren't really involved in his music life. Also he's probably the focus on 3.5 so kicking him is reminiscent of how Mizuki was kicked from the last Niigo event, right before New Years (where it was a Mizuki focus)
