I feel really sorry for Akito here…He’s trying so hard to face Max but because of his trauma, he can’t help but to flinch or get away from the source of it. They all are trying to help him but in a way that allows him to go at his own pace. Having Rui here in the event is such a good decision. He’s very observant and gave good advices when needed to. And here, even when he looks like he’s all ready to tease Akito after noticing him having a difficult time with the dog. But upon seeing how actually, seriously, really scared Akito is; he didn’t but instead he approaches the situation delicately. I love that.. I do not understand how this fandom could make fun of him and took his fear for dogs so lightly when even his own partner is concerned for him. Ishikawa, a total stranger, Honami who he just met, Minori that he was introduced to many events ago and helped with singing advices, Rui; who we usually see having a blast seeing Tsukasa’s reaction to bugs. They all showed genuine concern to Akito who is usually calm and composed in front of people
I mean unlike tsukasa, akito freezes (as you can see in the screen) and doesn't scream when terrified and that makes people worry more. When there is advice to give, Rui will act like an older brother (to anyone but Tsukasa)
@@jaehaha Everyone reacted in a different way when it comes to their fears. An & Tsukasa both visible showed how scared they are when facing with something they’re feared of (insects/ghosts). They screamed, they ran, they cried. It all comes to who you were with and how they reacted to that information. Kohane & Touya both took An’s fear seriously. Akito didn’t from the start but gradually he did too (refer to the Picture Wrap event). With WxS, they seem to, how to put this? Enjoyed way too much in teasing Tsukasa even when he made it so clear he hated bugs. Any types of it. Nowadays, we don’t see that often. Akito, in this case; has a reason why he’s so scared of the dogs. He was not only mentally scarred but also physically harmed when that incident happened. So his situation is much more delicate and difficult to overcome. Rui sees this and (thank goodness) not took this lightly and lended a helping hand as well. (P.S He didn’t act like an older brother to Tsukasa because 1)they’re the same age 2)they’re equals. He did gave advices from time to time but as a director)
@@eisa965 A lot of that does have to do with the vibe in the VBS friendgroup versus WxS. VBS is rather composed and serious for the most part. Kohane and Toya are both earnest, straightforward people with not a thought in their minds towards their public image or how they could manipulate others' fears for their own amusement. Akito is a bit more mischievous, but still quite serious all things considered, and not the scheming type. WxS on the other hand is chaotic, loud and irreverent, very aware of their public image, and fluent in using character quirks for comedy (it's literally their job). Rui specifically is a schemer and very mischievous, but his ultimate goal is nevertheless to make people happy. He knows people like Tsukasa bounce back very easily from being teased about surface level things, but he certainly wouldn't make fun of anyone's trauma or do anything that would actually get anyone hurt. And of course his ability to read people can come in very handy when giving advice. kind of a tangent but the relentless teasing of tsukasa is an interesting measure of his own character arc, in a way. pranks like leaving him tied up just for fun or gently bullying him all the time are pretty directly proportional to him behaving like a narcissist. this kind of thing has stopped almost entirely by Stage of Dazzling Light, when he's progressed as a person enough for his rougher edges to become exceptions rather than the rule. He is still teased a bit because frankly, he's an easy target who gives great reactions, but its frequency and the intent behind that teasing has noticeably changed quite a lot as the story progresses and his troupemates actually start to respect him more. Given the awkward, occasionally antagonistic edge their banter started out with, it's real sweet to see them comfortable around each other
I really like their dynamic here. Rui’s and Honami’s observation help them understand Akito’s fear and made them tried to find the way for Akito to overcome it. I know Honami is the same age as Akito and Minori but here she and Rui have elder siblings vibe awww I also like how they explained Akito’s fear that he pretty much traumatized rather just simple scared (like how tsukasa reacted)
I once mentioned somewhere that Akito’s younger brother energy in this event is a lot more transparent than usual. Both Rui & Honami approached Akito’s trauma in a considerate manner which is something he needed right at that moment. Honami’s gentle teaching combined with Rui’s careful nudge towards Akito to reveal his trauma, that is something I have always wanted to see and PJSK so far, did it with respect
