When I picked it up most people couldn't even get a loan so shit was really cheap. I got it with 1.5k and sold it with 30k for almost $10,000 more than I paid for it, then I bought a brand new car at msrp to take advantage of the divergence in pricing

That Supra is in my city of San Antonio. That dealer is famous for having overpriced cars that have issues. They had a high mileage srt4 neon for almost 30k

VW is very fair. Looks great, good mods, they are fairly reliable and pretty hard to come by, at least here in the Mid-west. Last one I saw was track ready with less than 50K for over $30,000.... So not bad. Lol

Forged carbon looks like crap, imo. Well compared to weaved cf. Looks like someone sprinkled left over cf scraps and called it a day. Plus it's suppose to be a cheaper alternative compared to the weave pattern. I would definitely not get forged cf, especially if it cost more than the traditional cf pattern.

I'm sure at least a few of you know what a Lotus Esprit is. I've seen more than two, pre-x180 models stock turbo esprits go for literally 60k way above usual market value that private sellers have. I typically see those on stock with some servicing at 30k or 40k maximum. Keep in mind, this is a dealership. They ask way too much for some builds that haven't got any work done to them since the 1980s with more mileage under the hood. Show condition, yeah. But these weren't exactly show condition.

The black 2013 Mustang gets my vote, but I'd probably counter the guy with $25k cash, definitely no more than $30k and even that's pushing it. Even with crazy car prices there's still room to negotiate. I bought my 2013 Lexus in December with only 35k miles on it, clean, garaged, maintained, and even after going with new aftermarket 18x8 wheel package and tires, new JBL sound system (7 speakers), DSP's, and JL Audio in the trunk, ceramic coating, new brakes/rotors/flush, trans service/flush, coolant flush/replace, interior and exterior lighting converted to LED... and still only have $27k into the entire car. Point is, mods don't add value to the book value on a car unless it's purposefully built. As good as that Mustang is, you'd find just as many negotiators that would argue that the mods add zero to the resale value, in some cases it can hurt (longevity/reliability).
That blue supra is close to my house. They sell a lot of modded cars and super cars. They are good people.

The supra isn't bad the widebody needs work. But you can put a system and some creature comforts in a race/street car. Yes it adds weight but if you factor that extra weight into your build it makes the car more enjoyable
Drew always has issues with a subwoofer in the trunk but then he puts a weight vest in the back of the mustang for traction. just put a sub and have your traction and sound

On the Supra he highlighted sports roof cuz it’s actually rare. A lot of them came targa top so to find a solid fixed roof is rare. It’s almost like the 300zx slicktop, majority that were sold came t-tops

Blue Supra is still a Supra. Would still buy it if given the opportunity. Also looks better than most modified Supras.

I love the MR-2 but for maybe 2/3rds the price. The black mustang is very fair as evident by being sold. The Supra, is too over done for me and way to pricey. I’d rather get a RHD from overseas and make it my own. The brown mustang is a transmission away from disaster. Great take on things drew.

I'd put the 3s-gte on par with the 2jz. I still wouldn't pay $60k for an MR2. The carbon fiber hood actually hurts it to me because the front of those cars get floaty around 600hp. Can't imagine a lighter front end helping that much.
True, plenty of built 3sgte mr2s running sub 9s. Once those go out k swap is the only logical conclusion.

@@christopherdavis8530 I had one for awhile. It was a NA with bad rod bearings. I just swapped in the next Gen up from the Caldina motor and it was pretty beastly. If you go over 450hp it's kind of is almost a drag only car cause that ass end is to 🐿️. They definitely can carve you just have to respect it. For $60k though you could still build a couple on your own.

The Mr2 made the same power a fiero made on a lighter chassis. The fieros problem wasn't the engine, it was the wiring deciding to become a heater.

The Supra could be a street racing car because I know quite a few people who completely ripped out the interior of the vehicle but still wanted music so they added an amp and sub woofer, but I will say if it is a circuit car it would be a bit odd.

im no genius but in the supra, at the rollcage there are harnesses but the harnesses are meant to be straight so ina crash its as strong as possible. In my racecar the harnesses are straight on through the holes in the bucket seats

If the rear end of the widebody supra wasn't so wide it would have been alot better or at least match the the front a little more with the rear there was a pretty big gap between width in back and fromt

That Supra on the back was made to look like the newer supras, he wanted to modernize it like the Mk5 and to be honest it actually looks pretty decent. Also I'm pretty sure that MR2 ran a 9 second 1/4 mile which is pretty fucking insane. But to each their own I guess.
