    Had this guitar for almost 10 years now and I have to say it’s pretty nice. I’ve tried some Epiphones and Gibsons (a Studio I believe) but the Cort is so hard to beat. Just love it!

    Hey man. I just got a Cort CR300. Same specs compared to 250 but mine using EMG RetroActive fat55. It sounds killer! Sounds amazing and the neck is a little bit too fat for me. But with thoose narrow frets, it feels amazing. The actions is really low so you can shredd out the sh** out from that guitar. Very recommended guitar indeed. Nice playing dude.

      It really depends on the music you want to play and where you are on your learning journey. Both guitars are well made. If you want to play blues and rock with some clean chordal stuff thrown in then the Cort would be better, it's more versatile. If you want to play shred, hard rock and metal than the Ibanez may be the right choice. If you are a beginner then I recommend the Cort because the locking style bridge on the Ibanez can be a handful for newer players. Hope this helps.

    • @WombatPage

      I think that comes down to money and Brand name. If you need the brand name and the money is not a concern then go the Epi. If you would like to save a bit of money and the brand name on the headstock doesn't matter then the Cort might be for you. Can't go wrong with either.

      Cee Cee Haven’t owned a M600, get the CR Custom. The CR Custom is an Epiphone Killer, it has Seymour Duncans in it, Kluson tuners and a great tuning stability TonePros bridge. The thing with Epis are that the electronics crap easily and they got a plastic nut, same with some expensive Gibsons while Cort uses a NuBone nut for their products.

    Cort cr250 vs Ibanez grg170dx.. which one should I choose?

    • @WombatPage
      @WombatPage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Those two guitars are two completely different beasts and meant for different things. The Ibanez has a slimmer faster neck and higher output pickups which are good for shred, hard rock and metal. The Cort has a comfortable, not too chunky neck with vintage-style pickups good for rock and blues. You can't really compare them against each other because they are different tools for different things.

    • @WombatPage
      @WombatPage  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Epi is a great guitar and it has the Gibson 57 classic pickups which are the highest output pickup they make. If you are looking for that Les Paul PAF sound you wont really get it with those pickups. I have 57 Classics in my Gibson LP Traditional and they are good but they are hot where as the pickups in the Cort are more traditionally voiced. You can't really go wrong with either guitar but I do think the neck on the Cort is better but that's more personal preference that a quality thing. You really need to try out both and see which one feels better to you.

      Not easily. A tremolo/vibrato is actually a different bridge that requires routing and permanent modification to the guitar. This will need to be done by a qualified luthier and means digging out some of your guitars wood. Yes it can be done but is usually expensive and a permanent change.

    Great review! How will it compare to Ibanez art120qa? Im between this cort, the m600 and the Ibanez. Thanks!

      I always thought, personally, that the ART series was not quite Les Paul looking enough. Great guitar, well built, just didn't look right to me. I have reviewed the M600 and one of my students bought the guitar I reviewed right after I took it back to the store. Killer guitar and it would be my choice out of the three if it was my money.
