The Cort is head and shoulders above the Epi in sound and build quality. You didn’t mention the NuBone nut on the Cort. Big difference. Tune O Matic bridge on the Cort. Another big difference. These Corts do Not get there fair share of attention.
John Smith took long enough. Cort has been doing that for years. The new Epiphones are much nicer then the years past.
I love my cr150. Brilliant! Put Seymour Duncan pickups in and it’s elevated. Always been better than epiphone

I swapped pickups to EMG FAT 55 retroactive oj my LP model guitar after I listened to Cort CR250 demos. Clarity and noise floor has been improved very much.

Looked at both and to my ears the cort was way ahead of the epiphone. Bought a cr150… love it even 4 years later! Feels and plays beautifully

I amazed how great the amp sounds. Nice playing as well.
With CR250 price way cheaper than the EPI Standard, it is considered equal in every sense so to me so it is a "go-to" option when the budget is the constrain here.
In my opinion, both are really good. Indeed, the sound of both are very different, the Epi ones sounds brighter, and the Cort ones sound with more sustain. In the end, choose one or both makes your musician-sound more interesting.

I like cort more but I have to say that the epiphone pickups have more bottom end and quite a bit more detail and articulation in the sound. Maybe take the pickups out of the cort and use some s.d. instead.
Both would benefit from some duncans. I prefer the cort pickups/sound though.

In my country the cort is around 100 dolars cheaper
The Epiphone guitar has a brighter sound than the Cort guitar, while the Cort guitar has more body, I prefer the Cort CR250 only for that but some people will think differently basing on their musical ears. In short, it depends of your musical ear.

never one is better, just different styles of tone, one has more body, the other has more crisp.
@@ksscreations4013 On second thought, I think it all comes down to each person's listening preferences. In my ears, the sound of Cort is much more pleasant than the sound of Epiphone...

I have a cort, but I love the sound of the epiphone, the cort has a great body, Its a good machine but the sound of the epiphone is really better than the cort...

Are the pups too noisy? Plenty amount of noise I can here from both of the guitars...

El problema es que existe dos CR250 ( depende el año de fabricacion ) y el otro CR250 suena aun mejor que la que tienes . Te das cuenta porque en ves de decir calssic rock dice CR250 .

well my boss asked me to do a video about classic rock. And the only old school amp they had there was the Valveking Classic 50. Everything else was modern rock and metal. It was good fun!
Cort CR seems to be better, i had Epiphone LP standard , now i have a,Tokai LR ALS 55, much better
Tokai LR are more expensive than a Gibson Les Paul standard.
