It's the Mediterranean climate. Almost all Mediterranean people speak in this way and have this type of vibe it seems. It's really attractive to be honest.
not really we are not, those are just peaple from Rabat and they have that definition of "speaking foreing language in my century will make me look cultured" thats it, and the official language of morocco is Arabic and Amazigh by the way.
I wish i can speak french like you..i am practicing french..francophone is growing especially in africa..it is good in business and it is good to speak other international language other than english..Vive la langue française. La langue est belle.
one thing I learned is that even random Moroccans in the street can sing pretty well lol! seems like such a nice and pleasant people and culture. I hope the economic issues get better. All the complaints some of the ppl in the video listed can easily be fixed with a consistent and reliable economy.
When I was in chefchaoen I loved discovering the French the locals spoke was understandable and they were kind with my limited southern Manitoba French speaking skills.

A good greek friend of mine, once asked me: Why are you speaking french in Northafrica...Isnt that weird...He said: Look. Greece was dominated by the ottoman empire, and why dont we speak a single word of turkish. France colonized you, they was extremly violent and forced you , so why are you speaking french.... To be honest. He spoken the truth! It is what it is
Arabe is also an imported language in North Africa, real languages used to be berbers language. But no matter where we are, we can't never changed past, and sometime it's just a strengh to adapt ourself with it and include different aspect of our past in our countries to build the futur.

I think Morocco is one of the best countries to live in the world, I think is peaceful and diverse and you would probably even lose your passport on purpose, but it's just like any other place, you have to figure out how to make a living. For now, there's a very good reason for learning or improving your French language skills. Arabic is the official language, French is more of a choice though.
I hope Morocco does change things like improve education/ health care and etc but please DO NOT become to westernized wear you lose your UNIQUE tradition/ culture!! Everything is about balance!! In America the family unit is decaying because people/ woman are losing values regarding the family unit!! Men are losing there man hood and woman are losing there woman hood.
In America that is largley due to the Far left of the political spectrum being the most influential in society. They want to destroy the man and his role, its sad really.
we speak french English Arabic Berber(Tamazight) and Moroccan darija Spanish ...and this isn't a shame but we proud that we're able to learn more than one language

Wow. I never expected Morrocans are very French not only in speech but also in demeanor. They sound and act very romantic.
